Thursday's Threads

Happy Outfit day everyone! It's a bit dreary out today and rather rainy. But I'm just glad it's not snowing! It's supposed to tonight though.... Go home weather, you're drunk! In honor of the upcoming Super Bowl and a desire for comfort food, I decided to get a little kitchy with my outfit today:

Burgers and Fries! Mmmmmm... outfit. And now I'm hungry. Let's look closer!

Cardigan: Asos
I love that the elbow patches are a burger and fries! Hahaha, cracked me right up when I found this on the Asos website. They didn't have my size, but since it's an open cardigan, I figured I could size up and it would be fine. It's a little big, but not bad.

T-shirt: Savage Base
I found this on the Sammy Dress website... It's an Asian company known for it's incredible deals and terrible customer service. This is actually a men's shirt, but Sammy Dress tends to run really small. I took a chance and ordered it, and it's perfect! I think it's hilarious.

Jeans: Vigold Jeans

These are OLD! Oldies but goodies of course. They are bootcut and are magic pants in that they fit me when I'm chubby and when I'm not. So they've stuck around. I like the two-toned stitching!

Belt: No Brand

I found this on ebay and was super excited about it. The fact that the buckle is the seatbelt from a Mustang is just the cheese on the burger isn't it?! (See what I did there? Instead of icing on the cake. Hey, at least I find me funny.)

Shoes: Steve Madden
You can't have a fast food outfit without some glitter now can you? These are actually from the kids department. I found them at Marshalls last year. I've worn them a ton, and they haven't lost their sparkle.

Jewelry:
Necklace: Claire's
Do you want fries with that? Yes. Yes I do. This is so cute. I just wish the chain was gold toned. At least the fries are!

Lefty:
Lefty has a cuff with what looks like a Lapis stone, but I'm pretty sure is actually plastic. I had gotten it to match my Rolex. Which I would have worn today, but I'm determined to have a perfect "move goal" week on the apple watch. So maybe next time...

Righty:

Righty is donning a couple of Ettika bracelets first, love the blues on both of them! The other is a stretch bracelet I made last year. It has my name on it, two dark ponies, two pugs, two blue ribbons, and FRIES! Clearly, it's biographical.

That's what I'm wearing today! What do you have on?!

Thursday's Threads

Outfit day!!! It's a dreary, drizzly, rainy day here in Connecticut, but hey, at least it's rain and not snow! And you know my theory on days without sunshine right? Exactly. You have to bring your own! So obviously, today I'm wearing neon. But just a little.

It's tough to see in this photo because I went somewhat subtle with my neon this time. But fear not, there's plenty of crazy neon in the closet for when the snow starts to fly.

Sweater: Love Stitch
I love the little pops of neon in this sweater. It's classy, yet crazy. Much like myself. I picked this one up from Moxie.Style when they had their Super Sunday sale after Thanksgiving.

Jeans: Vigold
These are OLD, but so comfy. Definitely a favorite. I'm super behind with my laundry situation so some of the oldies are getting pulled back out. I should certainly wear these more.

Belt Buckle: Mane Jane
Belt: No brand
You're going to see more of this Mane Jane buckle below when I get to my riding outfit. Mane Jane is a small business specializing in fun spur straps for the horsey set, and they have recently added these buckles and a line of belts to their inventory. I'm hoping they'll make a teeny tiny bracelet version of this... I'll have to suggest that! For today's outfit, I thought this blue belt would go nicely, but I'm currently obsessed with this stirrup buckle, so I swapped the usual "H" for this one. Loving the look!

Shoes: Gotta Flurt
Since it's rainy, I decided to just wear some comfy sneakers today. I love the pops of neon on these, and thought they complimented the sweater fairly well. Not perfectly, but good enough!

The arm candy game is somewhat out of control today... But so much fun!
Lefty:
I mentioned last week about Ettika's crazy 90% off sale... This amazing piece of neon fantasticness was another purchase from that sale. I couldn't help myself. I may have ordered three times. Maybe... I also won a $10 gift card, so I may just have to order again... I have no self control. But this bracelet is so full of awesome. I imagine this won't be the last you see of it. It dwarfs my trusty timepiece though!

Righty:
Righty went all out today with the neon. ALL OUT! First up is a rubber bracelet with an emoji on it. It came with a similarly colored rubber wristlet that I should have used today! I was way too late this morning to swap out my purse though. Which is really sad, because I have some fantastic neon accessories that would have been great today. Next time! The next two bracelets as well as the very last one are all from Baublebar. The round one there, number 4, is from Michael Kors, and next to it is a string bracelet from Pura Vida.
That's my work outfit today! A little crazy, but not completely. Perfect for a rainy day. Next up? Riding outfit!
Pony shirt and plaid. Perfect.

Top: Forever 21
Can you believe they had this amazing pony sweatshirt at Forever 21? I can't either. But I'm really glad they did.

Breeches: Custom Riding Apparel
You'll remember these from my trip to the Equine Affair. I love them so much. They're really stretchy and so comfortable! They even have a euro seat. So trendy. And how about that plaid?!

Belt: Mane Jane
This is the Mane Jane buckle on the actual Mane Jane belt. The belt is white with both gold and silver over tones. It's amazing. Soft like butter, and so gorgeous. AND it's REVERSIBLE! The other side which I didn't think to snap a photo of is a plum color with a similar texture as this side. They have a bunch of fun color combos, you should definitely check out their site!

Well that's what I'm wearing today. What do you have on? Any favorites from today? Let's chat in the comments!

Thursday's Threads

Happy Thursday everyone! I'm having another DAY at work... ugh. But am trying to write this post in between phone calls and being yelled at. If it seems disjointed... well.. that's because it is. Anyway, let's take a look at some clothes!
Here's what I'm wearing at work today:
I'm trying to wear white as much as I can since Labor Day is fast approaching! I will say though, this was totally a poor outfit choice as it's utterly arctic in my office today. Good thing I have a blankie. And fingerless mittens. And an ear warmer. Brrr.

Top: Le Lis
I got this beauty from the Moxie.Style sale. I LOVE it! I just learned about this brand this past year, and I really like what they have to offer. The materials are high quality, and the fit is fantastic. Navy and giant polka dots is so fun for summer too!

Belt: No brand
This photo came out dark, but the belt is navy leather. I know NORMALLY it's nautical stripes you pair with an anchor belt, but I thought these dots worked with it too.

Pants: Vigold Jeans
This is one of my favorite jeans brands. They just fit me really well and the length is pretty close to perfect. It doesn't hurt that they're on the cheaper end of the spectrum too!

Shoes: Rocket Dog
You saw these just a couple of weeks ago. They were definitely a good buy as they're getting plenty of wear! I do wish I had some socks on in here though. I'm so cold! I really wish the A/C would take a break. It's not hot out today! Ugh.

Arm Party:
Lefty:
Lefty is really embracing this look... I haven't changed it up at all in days! I love this KEEP Collective leather bracelet, and it's soooo perfect with my watch! Love love love!

Righty:
Righty is clearly embracing what's left of summer. (I'm with you righty. Hang on to it tightly!) Sunnies bracelet by Kate Spade, leather and chain wrap bracelet by Ettika, and a lobster bangle from Fornash.

Bonus:
Riding outfit!
I'm not sure why I can't seem to resist breeches on sale... But I can't. So here's a cute new outfit to talk about!
Tops: Old Navy Tanks
I never used to wear tanks to ride. As a boarder, I've always been very much in favor of looking proper in a collared shirt, tucked in. But since I ride in my backyard now, if it's hot, I'm wearing a tank! My less obvious farmer's tan thanks me. Anyway, these are from Old Navy. Super inexpensive and available in a wide array of colors. I usually stock up in the springtime.

Belt: No brand
You have seen this one before, not all that long ago. It came from Ebay and is probably supposed to be an Hermes knockoff. But it's not really... I've never seen an Hermes like this anyway. I like it, the edges of the buckle are actually gold. Cute!

Breeches: Ariat
My favorite local tack shop, Reins, is clearing out their summer merchandise to make way for fall and winter, so I jumped at the chance to get these at 40% off! Ariat breeches are probably the best fitting for my body type, but are pretty pricey when not on sale. I am so in love with these! I wish they came in more color combinations. Or maybe they do? I will have to go hunting!

Socks: Betsey Johnson
I don't normally call out my boot socks, but these are so fun, I had to share. They actually have some metallic thread through them which doesn't really show in the photo. They matched so perfectly with my outfit! Too bad I had to cover them up with boots...

Well.. that's it for today! What's your favorite from above? What are you wearing? Is it an arctic tundra in your office too?

Thursday's Threads: Travel Edition

I'm in FLORIDA! With too many suitcases, but whatever. I'm here!!!! I'm a firm believer that when traveling one must be comfortable, yet not schleppy. Unless you're traveling overnight, then by all means, wear a track suit. But make sure it's a nice one. So here's today's travel outfit (my apologies for not having a mirror):

Jeans, a nice looking T, and well I had shoes on... More on that later. We'll start with the sweatshirt that was shed prior to picture taking:
Sweatshirt: Forever 21
Nothing too fancy, but it has horses on it. That makes it the best sweatshirt ever. Duh. It's nice also because it's pretty light weight. No dying of heat stroke while walking through the Palm Beach Airport.

T-shirt: Max Studio
I'm pretty sure you've seen this one before. I wear it a lot. It's one of my faves. This top lays perfectly no matter what's happening underneath it (for instance the addition of a fat roll or two...). It's comfy and cotton and doesn't require ironing. Maybe one of the best shirts ever made.

Pants: Vigold Jeans
Look at those thighs! WHOA. Just to be clear, they're not large, they're sturdy. Anyway, back to the pants. These are my go-to comfy jeans. They're super stretchy. I have two other pairs in a lighter shade of blue too. They fit with or without the extra 15 lbs I'm carrying, without even showing my fat! I bet these were the pants from that movie Sisterhood of the Traveling pants.

Shoes: Sperry's
I loved these shoes when I found them on sale for super cheap. LOVED THEM! It's hard to see from the photo, but the tan part around the foot opening is a goldish colored canvas. ADORABLE! And really rough. Like REALLY rough. So much so that I couldn't take better photos because they made me bleed. Through my socks, onto the shoes. I knew they were rubbing some, but I did not realize they were mortally wounding me! RIP socks. At least I travel with cute bandaids:
Belt: Ralph Lauren
I know you've all see this one before. It gets plenty of use. I bet come summer it will be a staple!

Bag: Tory Burch
This Tory Burch tote was meant to be my new horse show bag, but it's also the perfect carryon size. It's big enough for my laptop and necessities, but not so big I have to CRAM it under the seat. Perfect! Plus it has ponies on it.

Arm Party:
Left:
I was in a hurry trying to get out of the house this morning and didn't realize until, well, now, that I should have reversed the bracelets. These should have gone on righty, and righty's little lone one should have gone with my trusty watch. Oh well. Next time! You've seen all these before... Photo bracelet, Hermes wrap bracelet (A REAL ONE!), and my trusty time piece.

Right:
See what I mean? Righty is kind of bare with only this lone Tory Burch bracelet. I just got this one on sale from their website. Literally, it came yesterday in the mail. Just in time for my trip! Yay!

So that's it from here in (partly) Sunny Florida! Ok, it's raining right now, but the sun was out when I got here. Whatever, it's still better than the cold rain at home! Did I mention it's 83 degrees? No? Oh, well it's 83 degrees! Home is 48. This is better. I think I'll stay.

What are you wearing today? Warm or cold where you are? Hope you're having a great week!

Thursday's Threads

We're experiencing an Arctic Blast here in New England... So I wanted to wear ALL THE CLOTHES.

But since that's impossible, I had to settle for as many layers I could manage while still being able to move my arms. I won't keep you in suspense, here's today's base outfit:

When it's this cold, you don't get too caught up in being fancy. Here's how it breaks down:

Top: Avalanche
I LOVE these tops. So much so that I own three. And am contemplating grabbing the 4th color that I don't yet have. It's polar fleece on the inside and knit on the outside. I'm not sure how they do it, but I totally approve! So warm and cozy. I got them at Marshalls for 29.99. If your local Marshalls has them, you should definitely invest.

Pants: Vigold

I've had these quite awhile. I imagine you've seen them before. I wanted something comfy and relatively heavy weight.

Shoes: Little Mismatched
These are kids shoes. There's a fairly good chance they're actually slippers... But they have a decent sole on them, so I'm pretty sure they're real shoes. Either way, they're REALLY comfy. And super warm.

Accessories:
Left:
You're probably getting tired of these two... But I'm not! #sorrynotsorry

Right:
Righty is wearing a bracelet I made last year in the front. It's pink cord with blue thread, and both blue and gold beads. I love this one, and really should make an effort to wear it more often! The other bracelet is from Snapfish. It is photos of my four legged posse! The photo below shows all the "beads". You have to actually buy a bracelet for each photo, not sure why they don't sell the beads individually. Fortunately they were 60% off near the holidays or I would not have been able to get everyone on there! I'm thinking about putting them on a nicer bracelet. Currently hunting the internet for a prettier leather. Will let you know what I find!

And now I will show all of you just what it takes to stay warm in this weather!

An additional fleece top. This is from RBX.
Then a down vest. Old Navy
Next we pile on the scarf and coat: Express scarf, Delia's coat
And lastly the hat (and eventually gloves, but those didn't make the photo shoot). I can't remember where the hat is from. I think Forever 21? Or maybe Modcloth? Sorry...
Movement is minimal under all those layers. But I'm warm!
What are you dong to beat the cold weather? Do you live somewhere tropical and warm? If so, I'm jealous. But hey, at least it's not snowing! Oh no wait, that's happening in the morning. Sigh. How many days till Spring?!
