Thursday's Threads: French Fries Edition

Eros and I had some fun this week with outfit day. We went with a french fry theme because french fries are delicious. Here's what he had on:

You can't really see any of it from this distance. But don't worry. We have close ups.

Bridle: Joseph Sterling
Browband: Homemade
French fry browband! So cute!

Saddle: Butet
Saddle Pad: Ogilvy, embellished by me
Half Pad: Mattes
French Fry ribbon trim! Isn't this a cute print? Also, don't you wish you could eat french fries every day? Why are they so delicious?

Polos: Centaur, embellished by me

Aren't these fry patches adorable? I wasn't sure if they would stay on the interchangeable wraps. And I was right to be uncertain. One did and one did not. And I haven't yet found the one that did not. But, they're still really cute. I just need to make sure I stick the velcro better next time.

That's what Eros wore for french fry day, and here's what I had on:

You had to know I had a french fry sweater, right? How could I NOT have one?

Helmet: One K Avance CCS with MIPS
I suspect this navy helmet is nearing expiration if it hasn't already passed that date. I wanted to get a closeout navy Samshield to replace it, but I missed the chance on that. Perhaps another will pop up someplace.

Sweater: Asos
I love having a french fry sweater. My only small complaint with this one is the pink trim. Why would they do that with a red fry box? I was planning to wear red breeches because I forgot about that pink trim, so I had to pivot to navy instead.

Belt: Homemade by me

I had a hard time finding the perfect fry fabric and/or ribbon for the belt. But I like this one. This is still my first prototype for the interchangeable belt. I want to make something a little nicer, maybe leather lined. Same for the brow band. They're both a work in progress.

Breeches: Tailored Sportsman
Guys, I'm still worked up about my preferred fabric being discontinued by TS. And I'm even more annoyed that they never actually got cheap on closeout so I could stock up. Rude.

Boots: Celeris UK
This photo is darker than I realized, sorry about that! These are my navy boots with silver trim at the top. They were demo boots, but pretty much exactly my measurements. Can't beat that! Quality, nearly custom boots without the wait and discounted! Total win.

That's it for today! Are you fry lover? What's your favorite potato? I don't have a favorite, I love all potatoes equally. Never met one I didn't like.

Thursday's Threads!

Happy Outfit day everyone! You already know I rode on Saturday, so I have a riding outfit to share! And a work outfit of course, but that's the norm. So let's start with pony clothes!
Yep, BLUE!!! I finally got to ride in all my new blue stuff. So exciting!

Helmet: Charles Owen JR8
I loved that the sparkles are also blue tones. Slightly more subtle (just slightly) than the silver sparkly version.

Jacket: Uniqlo
Sweater: Eddie Bauer
Layers cause Spring won't show itself.

Belt: Mane Jane
I think I'm almost to the point of having a Mane Jane belt strap for every outfit. Shut up, I know I have a problem.

Breeches: Smart Pak Pipers
So fun fact, these are the mid rise pipers. They run a bit smaller than the low rise. I like where they sit, but I should have sized up (or should cut down on the snacks...)

Half Chaps and Paddock Boots: Caballo
You guys. I loved these when I first saw them, and I love them even more after riding in them. They have ZERO break in time. None. I got on and felt like I've ridden in them forever. Seriously, go order some. DO IT!

Spurs: Color Tack
Spur straps: Stacie Originals
Did I neglect to mention that I also got a bronze pair of spurs from Color Tack when I was in Wellington last? I couldn't wait for mine to get back so I might have also bought a pair... If in fact I did do that, these are them up there in the photo. The spur straps I made. I used on glue on buckles though, so time will tell if that's going to work or not.

Ok, time for today's work outfit:
Rio's getting a visit from the vet at some point today, so I needed something that could also function in the barn. This outfit should serve both purposes just fine!

Sweater: Asos
Why, yes, those ARE Pug elbow patches. Thanks for noticing! The sweater itself is just a plain heather gray pull over, but it's those elbows that make it awesome.

Jeans: Wallflower
I love these pants. Definitely need to find more from this brand.

Belt: C4
You know those photos of dogs getting balls under water? C4 put those images on a belt. AND THERE'S A PUG! Obviously I had to have that. And it works quite well with my Pug elbows!

Shoes: Bob's by Skechers
PUG SHOES! I was very anti Bob's for awhile because I felt they were just knock off Tom's and it's not nice to steal. But then I discovered that Bob's made Pug shoes and Tom didn't, and I changed my opinion. Clearly, I can  be bought. My price is Pug shoes. Also, since it's not actually warm out...
Pug socks too! Duh. Come on, this can't surprise you.

Arm Party:
Lefty:
Lefty is wearing two bracelets I won in the Pug Rescue of New England fund raiser auction. They are adorable with my trusty apple watch.

Righty:
Righty also kept up with the theme. First is a bracelet I got from Etsy for an ungodly amount of money. (Totally worth it by the way.) The other three are bracelets I made. The middle one has my name on it. The ones with the Pug's names on them have the following beads spaced around them: dog bones, fire hydrants, paw prints, and obviously, little Pugs! Pretty cute if you ask me. But you shouldn't since I'm biased.

And that's what I'm wearing today (and last Saturday). What do you have on? Any favorites from today? Have you ever tried Caballo boots or half chaps?

Thursday's Threads

OUTFIT DAY! Finally! It's also Friday eve, so that's always a bonus. I only have one outfit today because I took last night off from riding. I was feeling under the weather, it was cold, damp and super windy. Not a recipe for success. But in lieu of a riding outfit today, I wore unicorns. Fair compromise? I think yes.
Maybe some day I'll be a real adult. Today, however is not that day. Funny story, I have random toys all over my office. Sometimes I get McDonalds for lunch, and to try and minimize the damage I get a kids meal, because the portions are small. And then I get a toy. So they're on my credenza. I also have a stuffed turtle sporting some of our products. A couple weeks ago our CEO flew in and he said he liked me office mate, referring to the turtle... I said, "yeah... I'm not very mature." He laughed. Thankfully. No pink slip yet ;) Anyway, back to outfit day!

Cardigan: Asos
I'm quite sure I have this same sweater in a pull over, but it is temporarily in an undisclosed location... Hopefully it discloses itself soon, as I really have no idea what I did with it. Asos gets the cutest stuff, and unicorn elbow patches are impossible not to add to cart.

T-shirt: Worn By
This company is pretty neat. They recreate items worn by rock stars. I'm not sure who wore this unicorn print before me, but they have great taste... Hopefully it wasn't Hannah Montana. Ha.

Belt: Mane Jane
Do you guys believe I don't have a unicorn belt buckle? I may have to work on that. Mane Jane is always a good choice though, so here she is!

Jeans: Seven
Just your basic denim. I've had these forever, and you've seen them many, many times. And before you even ask, of COURSE I have Unicorn print jeans. But I thought maybe it was too much. See, I do have some restraint!

Shoes: Asos
Well... only some restraint. But these are shiny and sparkly and have a unicorn on them so how could I not? I got these along with the cardigan. I mean if you're going to have Unicorns on your elbows, you should also have them on your feet. Fact.

Bag: Sleepyville Critters
Heehee... Had to.

Arm party!
Lefty:
Lefty took a somewhat mature approach today. First up is a vintage snakeskin bangle I found on Ebay. The middle bracelet is one I found on Zulily. It is reminiscent of those super pricey Hermes bangles, but it was only $20. And of course by now you recognize my apple watch.

Righty:
Righty has a bracelet I made up first. SnapFish had a big sale and the custom slider beads were 60% off. I thought the photos I altered with the Prisma app would make awesome slider charms, and I was totally right... You can't see them all, but all four horses and both Pugs are on there. I found the leather bracelet on Etsy, and love the purple with the filter I chose. Next up is a spike bracelet from BaubleBar. I think the spikes look like baby unicorn horns. And lastly is my Kate Spade carousel horse bracelet that I had to have once Lauren from She Moved To Texas made me aware of its existence. I won't tell you how much I spent on it... That's more of a story for Truthful Tuesday...

That's what I'm wearing today! What do you have on?

Thursday's Threads

Happy Outfit day everyone! It's a bit dreary out today and rather rainy. But I'm just glad it's not snowing! It's supposed to tonight though.... Go home weather, you're drunk! In honor of the upcoming Super Bowl and a desire for comfort food, I decided to get a little kitchy with my outfit today:

Burgers and Fries! Mmmmmm... outfit. And now I'm hungry. Let's look closer!

Cardigan: Asos
I love that the elbow patches are a burger and fries! Hahaha, cracked me right up when I found this on the Asos website. They didn't have my size, but since it's an open cardigan, I figured I could size up and it would be fine. It's a little big, but not bad.

T-shirt: Savage Base
I found this on the Sammy Dress website... It's an Asian company known for it's incredible deals and terrible customer service. This is actually a men's shirt, but Sammy Dress tends to run really small. I took a chance and ordered it, and it's perfect! I think it's hilarious.

Jeans: Vigold Jeans

These are OLD! Oldies but goodies of course. They are bootcut and are magic pants in that they fit me when I'm chubby and when I'm not. So they've stuck around. I like the two-toned stitching!

Belt: No Brand

I found this on ebay and was super excited about it. The fact that the buckle is the seatbelt from a Mustang is just the cheese on the burger isn't it?! (See what I did there? Instead of icing on the cake. Hey, at least I find me funny.)

Shoes: Steve Madden
You can't have a fast food outfit without some glitter now can you? These are actually from the kids department. I found them at Marshalls last year. I've worn them a ton, and they haven't lost their sparkle.

Jewelry:
Necklace: Claire's
Do you want fries with that? Yes. Yes I do. This is so cute. I just wish the chain was gold toned. At least the fries are!

Lefty:
Lefty has a cuff with what looks like a Lapis stone, but I'm pretty sure is actually plastic. I had gotten it to match my Rolex. Which I would have worn today, but I'm determined to have a perfect "move goal" week on the apple watch. So maybe next time...

Righty:

Righty is donning a couple of Ettika bracelets first, love the blues on both of them! The other is a stretch bracelet I made last year. It has my name on it, two dark ponies, two pugs, two blue ribbons, and FRIES! Clearly, it's biographical.

That's what I'm wearing today! What do you have on?!
