Thursday's Threads... another one with logos everywhere.

Outfit day again! This is another one where I just logo everything. You guys. I can't stop. Having my Cricut up and running has been so much fun! I have lots more ideas, just not a lot of time to make stuff right now. But still. So fun! So here's what I wore yesterday to ride:

That top looks REALLY low cut from this angle... I promise there was no inappropriate exposure... Also I had a cami underneath. Anyway...

Helmet: Charles Owen
Greenie isn't nearly as ventilated as the One K's, but he sure is pretty! And he fits really comfortably too.  I hope CO comes out with a custom MIPS helmet in the future so I can upgrade to a new greenie.

Top: Stacie Original

So.... when enhancing a shirt, it might not be a bad plan to try it on before you place your decorations... The logo on the front is on the side of my boob. Super awkward. Oops. Live and learn, right? I've been getting inexpensive shirts from Walmart and Amazon to decorate. I even found some hunter green athletic shirts, but I haven't gotten to them yet.

Belt: Stacie Original
Buckle: Mane Jane
One of the boarders at the barn is a leather rep. They sell to a lot of the high end bag designers and what not. Whenever they clean out the office, they give me their scraps. And so I made this belt strap from their scrap! I only have scissors for cutting, so it's not that even... but it's good enough! I made it simple, just a strip of leather, which works well with both the Mane Jane buckles and my H buckles. I'm curious to see how long the iron on vinyl will last on the leather... but I've worn it a few times already and so far so good!

Breeches: Ariat
These are the more expensive Ariat breeches, but you all know me. I only buy this stuff on closeout. I do find the higher end models fit better than the lower end.

Socks: Dreamers & Schemers
I'm pretty sure you've all seen these before. I have two pair and I also made a green version. If you haven't played around with making custom socks on the Dreamers & Schemers site, you're missing out. It's super fun!

Boots: Fama-4-All
I still think these are the coolest boots in my collection. The quality isn't that of the Celeris, and they aren't AS super comfy as the De Niro's. But they are still completely amazing. I mean... my logo is on them! Look at it! And yeah... I know they're dirty. We haven't gotten rain in so long, everything is dusty. It's gross.

Arm Party!!!
Lefty:
I need to work on some logo bracelets... I have some ideas but need to experiment. I figured the next best thing was just following the color scheme. So lefty is donning my FAVORITE bracelet. It's that green bit bracelet from Gucci that I happened to stumble across on Ebay several years ago. I love this thing so much. I paired it with an Hermes wrap bracelet that was also a second hand purchase.

Righty:
Righty is donning a couple of other second hand Hermes bracelets and my Fitbit. I do love fancy bracelets from fancy companies (clearly) but I think it's pretty crazy what they cost. So I've only ever purchased them used. Though I have received a few as gifts.

So that's what I wore yesterday, but I also have horse outfits to share! Spoiler alert, their bridles didn't match as I don't have the right bits on their green themed bridles. So we're skipping bridle photos today.

Eros:

Eros wore my Hermes saddle with my mattes half pad, and a baby pad that I decorated with the Cricut. The photo doesn't really show it, but I used glitter vinyl for this one so it's sparkly and fun. He also wore his Punk Pony boots. These are the cob sized though, I need to find the horse size that fit him better.

Shiny:

Shiny isn't wearing any logos. I can't bring myself to deface my fancy Mattes pad. But it is all the right colors, so close enough. Atop the Mattes pad she's using her Butet saddle. She's also donning her Punk Ponies boots.

And that's it for today! Do you have any craft fails like my shirt's funny placed logo? Any favorites from today?

Thursday's Threads

Happy Outfit day everyone! You should be SO PROUD of me because I remembered to get pics of my riding outfit this weekend, knowing I would likely be rained out this week. So let's start there!
What an unflattering pose. Lol. I forgot to grab a photo of my helmet, but I wore the green Charles Owen with this outfit.

Jacket: Skidmore College
It was hot in the indoor we went to, so I didn't actually wear this to ride, but since I had it on most of the day otherwise I figured I'd include it. I got this one at reunion in 2017. I love the color, and it is super soft and warm. Fleecy jackets, though annoying because hay and stuff sticks to them, are my favorite. They're comfortable to move around in, and you can throw them right in the washer and dryer.

Shirt: Ariat
You guys have seen this one before, last time with a brown puffy vest. It wasn't quite vest weather, so it got to stand alone this time.

Belt: Sandy Duftler
I have two of these, a black and a brown from Sandy Duftler. I thought they were just knock-offs of the Ralph Lauren belt that's like $800 but then I saw the name on the inside and was like OHHH! The spur belt lady! I think I like this design better with a side zip breech, but it did the job here too.

Breeches: The George Morris Collection
These really seem to fit better than a lot of the other JPC brands. Not sure why. But I like them! Doesn't hurt that they're my barn colors. I should probably get a second pair.

Boots: Regals
One of these days I'll get back to breaking in boots. But in the meantime, it's pretty much all Regals all the time.

So that's what I wore to ride this weekend. Now let's see what I have on today!

Yeah... that's a lot of denim. It's cute denim though!

Top: Ralph Lauren
This top was mega on sale in the clearance section at the outlet, and I thought it was super cute. I'm not sure why, but it screams fall to me. I've always had a thing for bandana prints. And snap buttons.

Belt: No brand
I'm not exactly sure what search led me to this belt on ebay... but once I saw it, I had to own it. Who doesn't need a horse's ass belt?! Plus the western-y belt seemed to work with my bandana print today.

Jeans: Mavi
Just your basic dark wash blue jeans here today. Super stretchy. Super comfy.

Shoes: Rocket Dog
The same day I got the shirt I also stopped in the Tommy Hilfiger outlet. And they had the cutest bandana shoes on sale. Unfortunately, not in my size. So I took to the interwebs and found these Rocket Dog sneakers. So comfy. And yes, I'm actually wearing socks today. Boo.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
I made this wrap bracelet quite awhile ago. Originally I wanted to use that fabric for one of the horse head bracelets, but it was too thick to fit. It looks nice on its own though!

Righty:
I think this little denim stack was one of my first horse head creations. They're both actually a hair too big, but hey, I was a rookie then!

That's it for today! Any favorites? Bandana print: yay or nay?

Thursday's Threads

Happy Outfit Day! It's going to be nice here they say after a rainy start. I am still lacking in the riding outfit department. Sorry. But I do have a VERY boring running outfit to share! I'm sure you're excited... You see, it started raining when I was getting ready to go out for my run. So I was thinking I would just run on the treadmill in a sports bra and leggings. So I picked a really fun bra and boring black pants. But then it stopped raining and I wanted to go outside. And I will NOT wear just a bra in public! So my outfit got boring. Here it is:
I won't bore you further with close ups. The top and the bottoms came from Fabletics, which I actually really like their stuff. And if you're patient, you can get great deals in their sales.

Sneakers: Asics
I was really attached to my Mizunos for a LONG time, but they made a lot of changes to them in the last few seasons and they weren't really working for my feet anymore. So after the relay I ran last fall I stopped (with our 20% off from the race!) at the local running store to see about something new. I wound up with these Asics, and I like them quite a bit. I haven't done any real distance in them yet though, so we'll have to see how that goes eventually.

Ok, on to the fun stuff! Today's outfit!
Cacti! It's tough to see all the cacti here, but they'll be more visible in the closeups.

Top: Old Navy
If this tee reminds you of the avocado one.... that's because they're pretty much the same. It was a good day at Old Navy that day...

Belt: C4
C4 never lets me down when I need a good theme belt. I haven't turned the extra into a bracelet yet, but it's on the pile to get done.

Jeans: 1822 Denim
I don't often wear distressed jeans to work because I think that might be pushing over the dress code line. But eh. I did today. I wanted something cropped and these were what I dug up first.

Shoes: Soludos
I just think they make the cutest shoes! After having some previous pairs feel smallish, I sized up for this one. They're a tad too big honestly... But I have a desk job, so they'll be fine. I'll probably get an insole for them for next time.

Accessories!
Apparently Cacti are really big right now, because I keep finding all kinds of fun things adorned with them.
Purse:Unbranded
Phone case: Also unbranded
I got this purse on the TJ Maxx website. It came with a chain to make it a crossbody and a short strap to use it as a wristlet/clutch. Or you can leave it strapless. I like options. The phone case came from Ebay.

Necklace: Kate Spade
I think this thing is ADORABLE. It's really tiny, but the details are not lacking.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is donning a Tory Burch wrap bracelet in hunter green and my trusty apple watch.
Righty:
Righty is mostly decked out in Tory Burch as well. The only non Tory piece is that cactus in the middle that I got on Ebay. The Tory bracelets I scored on Poshmark. I realized after I was at work that I have some cute cactus bracelets from Pura Vida. I guess you'll have to wait and see those next time I wear a cactus outfit. I'm sure the suspense is killing you.

And that's it today! Thoughts on Cacti? I enjoy them, they remind me of me. Interesting to look at, but not so nice if you touch them wrong.... Any favorites from today? Requests? Should I set up a poll and let you guys pick my theme?

Thursday's Threads

Happy Outfit Day everyone! It's a lazy, hazy day of summer here in CT. We're on day 5 of our heat wave (which is just what all of you in the south call summer... heat waves are made up of at least three days of highs over 90). I don't mind it one bit, but lots of people are getting pretty whiny. To be fair, the humidity hasn't fallen below 80% so it is a bit... stuffy out there. Anyway, I kept it super casual today... with a ridiculous homage to the avocado.
I've had "avocado outfit" on my list to do for awhile, but it was never quite ready... I had all of the accessories, but I didn't have any avocado clothing. Until recently anyway. My mom and I met up one rainy evening and went to the local outlet mall. There is an Old Navy there (talk about cheap!) and you guys! They had this:

Top: Old Navy
Avocado tee shirt! And it was $8. So I mean... How do I NOT buy it?

Belt: C4/Dreamers and Schemers
This awesome avocado belt is a collaboration between C4 Belts and Dreamers and Schemers boot socks. I have the socks too. And if I was riding tonight, I would definitely wear them.

Jeans: Indigo Rein
I think these two-toned, color-blocked, whatever you want to call them jeans are pretty fun. I can't decide if the make my giant legs look bigger or smaller though... I like them either way.

Shoes: Soludos
I have a few pairs of these espadrilles from Soludos, with different themes of course. They're ridiculously comfortable. I sometimes feel like they might be a little small when I first put them on, but then they perfectly mold to me feet and I never want to take them off. I think the fun embroidery on them is great too.

Accessories:
Necklace:
I got this adorable necklace from Etsy ages ago. I love the little spoon! Ha! So cute.

Arm Party:
Lefty:
Lefty is wearing this awesome handcrafted bracelet from Gypsies and Debutantes. She sources her textiles from south America and then adds the jewels herself here in New England! While this isn't exactly avocado themed, the greens in there fit right in.

Righty:
Righty is wearing a coupld of vintage Manelli bracelets from ebay. They are definitely avodao toned! And then this silly charm bracelet (which is also awesome, clearly) came from Etsy. Believe it or not, it was not from the same seller as the necklace.

Purse: Betsey Johnson

I know. Seriously. I love the little fobs it comes with! The salt shaker has a mirror on the other side. I wish the lime had been a change purse though. It's not, it's just decor. And that there on the backside of the purse? That's a guacamole recipe! I'd like to try it!

But that's not all today, kids! Well, that's it for the avocados. But I also have a fun riding outfit to share! FINALLY!
It looks a little boring from afar... but it gets better up close!

Helmet: One K
Terrible photo, but I wore my black One K helmet with the snakeskin. These helmets are so comfortable!

Top: TKEq
Heh, horse humor. I bought some cute shirts from TKEq when they had a sale a few weeks back and this was one of them. I'm not sure why I thought this was so funny? But I do, and I love it.

Belt: Sandy Duftler
I have mixed emotions about the Duftler belts. They're kind of too big for most pants, but I do like how they look.

Breeches: Piper by Smartpak
I kind of love these Pipers. Not so much the fit because I really don't love how Pipers fit in general. But I definitely love the fun pattern and the trim on the pockets. That's my love/hate issue with pipers. I like the price point and the color combos. But I wish they fit a little better.

Socks: Dreamers & Schemers
I mean... there's never a wrong time for the F bomb socks is there? Ok, maybe if there's little kids around... But whatever. I had boots over them at the barn. I have seen evidence that there is a matching C4 belt out there for these, but I haven't found where I can obtain that just yet... It's on my need list though. Any suggestions, please throw them at me!

Boots: Tuffrider Regal
It was a rainy, muddy mess on Saturday, and there was zero chance I'd wear any of my nice boots out in THAT! Plus I just love these crappy boots. #sorrynotsorry

That's it for today! Probably no riding outfit next week, but we'll see. Rio is going to jog for me on the lunge line soon, and if he's looking pretty sound, I may start tack walking him. If that happens, riding outfits all the time! So fingers crossed if you like to see those... but also cross them anyway, because I'm dying to sit on a horse regularly.
Any favorites from today? Yay or neigh on avocados?
