Thursday's Threads

Outfit Day! It's another short one because of my non riding this week. Boo. Once all the business of holiday stuff is over, I do hope to get back on the exercise train, so even if I don't have riding outfits this winter, hopefully I'll have some running outfits to share. Lol. We'll see how that goes... Anyway, here's what I'm wearing today!
Also, I forgot to take photos this morning so this is me trying to stealthily take photos at work without my coworkers noticing... Hey, at least it's not a bathroom selfie!

Sweater: Society
I love the tiny little gold threads that are knit throughout this sweater. Just enough sparkle to liven things up without being gaudy.

Belt: Mane Jane
Gold Mane Jane belt to bring out the sparkle OBVIOUSLY! Love me some Mane Jane.

Jeans: TwentyOne Black
Twenty One Black is Forever 21's "fancy" brand of pants. These are just a nice stretchy pair of jeans with a fun lace up detail on the lower leg.

Shoes: Qupid
As subtle as the sweater is... these are not. Look! SHINY! These booties are totally gaudy, but I think they're also fabulous.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is wearing a gold leather bracelet made by me, along with my trusty apple watch.

Righty:
Righty is wearing a mixed media cuff bracelet, but I can't remember the brand on this one... Sorry! I do know I got it from Zulily, but that doesn't help much... The leather and chain bracelet is from Fornash.

And that's it for today! Do you have a favorite item from today? Do you even read through this post when there's no horse clothes? What are you wearing today?

Thursday's Threads: Thanksgiving edition

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you all had a great day spent with people you love. Or animals you love. Either one. I got to spend it with both, so that's a great day! I haven't ridden due to the weather, so no riding outfit to share today, but I do have my Thanksgiving outfit. We're a casual family so no need to get too fancy!
I mean just because we're casual doesn't mean I can't wear some shiny pants!
Let's look closer:

Sweater: Cabi
A few weeks ago my sister-in-law hosted a Cabi party. I saw this sweater there and HAD to have it! This picture of my back is doing no justice to my backside nor the sweater, but I swear it's only awkward (and enormous) because my arm is raised to take the photo. I love the shape of this sweater and the fun back is a total bonus!

Pants: Trina Turk
Shiny pants!!! I love me some shiny pants. Not news, I know. I found these pants last year at Nordstrom Rack when I was in Florida. They were marked down to $30 from something ridiculous like $250. Obvious must have for me.

Belt: Burberry
I think you've all seen this one more than once. I thought the tan plaid was perfect with both the sweater and the shiny pants.

Booties: Vince Camuto
I'm pretty sure I got these booties a few years ago when Little Black Bag was closing down. If I remember correctly I only paid $10 for them. They're real suede, and pretty fabulous. Especially for $10.

Arm Party:
Lefty:
Lefty kept it simple because as usual, I was running too late to pick out jewelry. Just my trusty apple watch today.

Righty:
Righty wore these adorable hand painted bangles from Deux Chevaux. I stumbled across these on Ebay awhile back for  better than half price. I did try to get them even cheaper because I'm frugal, but was unsuccessful. I think they're gorgeous though, and worth every penny.

That's what I wore today! How was your Thanksgiving? What did you wear?

Thursday's Threads!

It's Outfit Day! My favorite! It's weirdly spring-like outside today, so I didn't have to wear socks. That makes me pretty happy. I wish I wasn't stuck inside at work all day though! Here's what I picked for this gorgeous fall day:

I'm so into all the plaid this season. I love that it's popping up in all different styles from dresses to button downs, to leggings... You name it, it's available in plaid!

Dress: Mimi Chica
This dress is almost gauze-y, it's so light weight. This awkward angle makes it look like it's tight across my chest, but it's not, promise! (That would be a shocker, nothing is ever tight on this chest!) I found this adorable dress in the juniors section at Marshalls and had to have it immediately. At 19.99, I couldn't tell me no.

Leggings: No brand
These are just your run-of-the-mill fleece lined leggings. I got them from some online discount site. They came in a pack of 8, all different colors. Super comfy! I firmly believe that for this type of item, you don't need to spend a lot on a name brand. Leggings are mostly leggings, as long as the material is decent.

Shoes: Charles Albert
I found these adorable flats on Zulilly right after I bought the dress. It was a no brainer that they were meant to be together. They're very comfortable, and were super inexpensive. I love the studs on the toes!

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Nothing new on lefty today. First is my KEEP Collective bracelet I got not too long ago, next is a stretch bracelet with a cute tassel from Express, and last is my trusty timepiece!

Righty:
Righty is rocking the gift bracelets today! The first one I did buy myself. It says my name, and I got it on Etsy a few years ago. It's SUPER delicate, so I don't wear it a lot. I want it to last! Next up is a rhinestone bangle from my mom. It's by Michael Kors if I remember correctly. And last is the leather and brass bracelet from my sister-in-law that you've seen a few times. It's one of my favorites, so you'll be seeing it again I'm certain! That one is by Rebecca Minkoff.

So that's what I'm wearing today! No riding outfit because I was rained out last night. Hopefully next week!
Do you have a favorite item from this week's look? What are you wearing? How's the weather?

Thursday's Threads

Happy Outfit day everyone! We're still having beautiful weather here in New England: sunny everyday with highs in the mid to upper seventies. I'm not going to pretend like I don't miss the 80 degrees. I do. I miss them terribly. But this isn't so bad. With the shift in weather comes a shift in sleeve length too. So you're going to be seeing a lot less of my arms going forward! Here's what I'm wearing today:

Wow that photo looked a lot better on my phone than it does on this blog! Sorry about that. As you can see, I'm well covered for these chillier temps and have started bringing the boots back out.

Top: Elie Tahari for Design Nation (Found at Kohl's)
This top is ridiculous in all the best ways. I love that it's black and white but the cabs are yellow. I get a late Autumn feel from this top for some reason... The arms are sheer on this one so it's perfect for this time of year when it's warm in the afternoon but cool in the morning.

Pants: Bamboo Jeans
I'm currently obsessed with moto-style pants. I saw these on Zulilly for 9.99 and was all, "get in my cart!" I should have gotten a size smaller I think, but they will likely shrink some when I dry them. Bigger is always better than smaller! I love the throwback feel of these with the acid wash and zippers at the ankles. So fun!

Boots: Passions
I've had these awhile now. Also from Zulilly, I think they were in the same price range as the pants! They're synthetic leather which normally isn't my thing, but they're very soft and comfy so I made an exception.

Arm Parties!
I must warn you, the arm candy is a little ridiculous today.

Lefty:
See? Ridiculous. But so fun! Both of these crazy spikey bracelets were from the late Little Black Bag. They're stretchy and plastic. Quality ;)

Righty:
This chunky stretch bracelet was also from Little Black Bag. I had to wear all spikes today to match the baddassery that is my moto jeans. I'm hoping I can get my giant calves into my spikey tall boots from a couple of years ago once winter gets closer.

I didn't take any riding outfit photos this week (sorry!) but in lieu of that, I will share the outfit I wore to Yom Kippur services yesterday. Why you ask? Well... fox shoes. That's why.

I was a little worried this was a big short for synagogue. But it hits at the knee so I decided it was fine.

Dress: Emily & Fin (via Modcloth)
I love the vintage feel of this dress and the fact that it has pockets! Plus it's hunter green. So obviously it's the best dress ever.

 Cardigan: Juicy Couture (SUPER OLD!)
The fabric buttons feel so vintage to me, so I thought it would pair well with the polka dot dress. I love the little ruffle effect on the bottom and on the sleeves. You can see that detail in the full length photo above.

Shoes: T.U.K. Shoes
Right? Cutest shoes ever made. I know. They're a hunter green velvet with faux leather foxes! Look at the little tail in the back! Ah! If you see these ever, get them. They're really comfy and so so cute!

Ok, that's all I have for today. What are you wearing? Is it cooling off where you live?

Thursday's Threads

It's OUTFIT day! A rainy one at that. But let me tell you, it hasn't rained here in almost two weeks. We really need it. My riding arena is like the Sahara. And the horses are actually spooking at their own dust clouds. Ridiculous. So without further ado, here are today's outfits!

Work Outfit:
I needed something easy, yet respectable today. I got home at 1:00 AM from the Yankee Game last night, and outfit planning was far too tricky today.

Top: 12PM by Mon Ami
I'm so in love with this top. It's a dolman, which is hard to see because the bottom really blends right into my jeans. I got this one from Moxie.style and I completely love it! This was part of a special promotion they were running called FAME, and I don't think will be available on the website. But it might. We'll find out in a few weeks!

Pants: Earl Jeans
These are oldies but goodies and have been on the blog lots of times. Everyone needs a pair of black skinny jeans in their closet. At least one.

Shoes: Nine West
These are also oldies but goodies! Black ballet shoes are an important staple for any working lady. I think most Nine West shoes are insanely comfortable. Also, I live about 15 minutes from two different Nine West outlets so they are also really affordable. (Please excuse the bug bites on my feet.)

Arm Party!
Lefty:
I know! I wore a different watch today! Just keeping you all on your toes. First we have some stretch bracelets from the now defunct Little Black Bag. They came with a gold one also, but I decided to stick with the gunmetal and silver today. Next is a rhinestone bracelet from Stella and Dot. And lastly is my A-Line watch. That bad boy retailed for something ridiculous like $650, but I got it from Rue La La for $79 about three years ago. It's on its second battery, but it's a great watch!

Right:
The first two both come from Express... I think. The first one definitely. The middle one possibly not. But I can't remember where it is from if not Express... so we'll just go with that. The last one is one I put together myself. The bangle and the bead both came from my favorite online bead store: Goodybeads.com

Riding Outfit:

This might be one of my most favorite yet.

Top: Tory Burch
Why yes, those ARE well dressed ponies on my t-shirt, thanks for noticing! This was the most amazing Tory Burch print ever created. Hands down. I also bought the shirt dress and the tote bag in this pattern. How could I not? And before you judge too hard, I got them all on end of season clearance at 60% off. Best purchases ever.

Breeches: Grand Prix
These are your basic schooling breech. Cotton blend, nice navy color, euroseat. They're very comfy!

Belt: No brand
So the H buckle is one of my ebay finds of long ago. It came on a black leather belt. This orange ostrich pattern belt is also from ebay. I'm not sure if there's a brand on it? But I think it looks awesome with my H buckle! I call this Hermes-ish.

Alright, that's it for today! What are you wearing? Do you have a favorite item from above?

Thursdays Threads

Happy Outfit Day! After missing last week, I'm happy to have a cute outfit to share today. Especially the shoes... wait till you see the shoes! I have a riding outfit too! (No running today, we met up for breakfast instead. Because you know, eating > running.)

I actually think you've seen most of this outfit already, just not all together. Let's look closer!

Top:
Bad blogger... I forgot to see what the brand was on this, and I can't see it while it's on... Sorry about that. But it came from TJ Maxx I think last year. I love the high neck, the lace, and the gold dots! I do wish it was just a little longer. But then again... it might have been when I got it. I have a habit of shrinking things.

Pants: Modcloth
It's really hard to show in a photograph, but these khakis actually have a gold shimmer to them. I like that they're a little fancy and gold, but not like GOLD! You know?

Shoes: Simply Vera
Sorry... I know my feet are disgusting. But the nail places all close at 6. Who can get there before that? Anyway, how cute are these sandals? I found them at Kohl's for like $7.00. Had to have them! The champagne color goes with so much this time of year. I hope to get a bunch more uses out of them before summer is over. (Summer, please don't go!)

Arm Party:
Lefty:
Nothing new here... My one and only authentic Hermes bracelet (thanks Dad!) and my trusty Rolex.

Righty:
I guess I wanted to wear all H all the time today... These are all from various ebay sellers. They look cute together! I love the neutral tones, especially the shell in the middle.

And now riding outfit:
Annie's USA had a sale... so I had to get the green tea breeches. I've been eyeing them all summer! Let's look closer:

Breeches: Annie's USA
These are seriously the most comfy breeches EVER. They're so soft. I could sleep in them. These do not have euro seat, but I do believe all of the newer stock does. The newer breeches also have the sock bottoms, while these have velcro. I don't really mind either way. They're schooling breeches, so I'm not so picky. There are still some breeches on sale, so if you want to try Annie's out for yourself, now is a good time!

Top: Tommy Hilfiger
I have no idea how old this t-shirt is. But I'm thinking it's at least 5 years or so. It was buried in a drawer, but I'm glad I found it! I mean... it has PONIES on it! And it matches my green tea breeches almost perfectly.

Belt:
Yeah... Ebay. This is a cute one, real leather!

That's it for today! What are you wearing?
