If you follow me on instagram you already know today's confession. I got a little crazy with my hair color this weekend. I've been humming and hawing about doing something a little... different for awhile now, and it was finally time. We did it in such a way that I can kind of hide it if I want to. (For example, if the big bosses come into the office and I have to pretend to be professional.) Or I can let that freak flag fly. Wanna see?! Sure you do. My photos aren't great, but you can get an idea at least.
Here I am while still at the salon:
My hairdresser made a bunch of curls to show off the color.
This is the next night while I was hanging around the house:
I love how it looks in a braid!
And this is me today at work with it more subtle looking. Please excuse my old lady face with no makeup. I can't get myself to work on time, I'd be days late if I put on make up too.
Here you can barely see it! The only color on the top of my head is a reddish/brown so you don't really see the crazy colors.
But you can kind of see them peaking out the bottom.
I think it's really fun. And if I get tired of it, I can easily have it all dyed a darker brown. I might be a littttttttle too old for the crazy hair, but I really don't care. I'm loving it so far!
Have you ever done anything out of the ordinary with your hair? How did your coworkers feel about it? Did you get tired of it quickly?

Outfit Day! It's officially fall today, boooo. BUT it is in the 80's so I have no complaints. With the change of season comes a change a in color scheme though...
Boom! Fall colors! Sort of. I think if you pair mint green carefully, you can make it work in any season. I may be wrong. But I do it anyway!
Top: Ralph Lauren
Confession: I found this in my drawer with all the tags still on. I'm pretty sure I've had it for awhile now. Oops. It's a fairly basic tee with a nice boat neck trimmed in brown kind of lacey type something. It's a little different without being to crazy.
Pants: Blue Spice
These are a recent addition. I'm regularly wishing I had a good light brown pair of pants, so when I saw these in Marshall's for 16.99 I couldn't pass them by. They claim to be high waisted, but they're more of a mid rise which I like just fine.
Shoes: Sperry
These are from the kids department and are pretty old. I'm sure they've been on here before. I love that they're metallic!
Arm Party!
Lefty:
Left is sporting a couple of stretch bracelets that I made. They are mostly wooden beads, with some stone and metal square beads to mix things up. I'm also wearing my apple watch.
Right:
Righty kept it simple today with two equestrian themed cuff bracelets from Swanky Saddle. I was worried these were going to break in no time, but so far they're holding up great. I've been wearing them most days, and even have showered in them a couple times (oops).
And of course I have a riding outfit to share too!
I may have gone a little too far with all the green... I could have at least not stood next to all the covered trunks! Ha! Oh well.
Top: J. Crew
I had actually worn this to work the other day and was too lazy to change when it was time to ride. It's a cute top, very light weight, so it's great for almost any season.
Breeches: Horze Crescendo
You've definitely seen these before. When they first arrived I thought I might hate them as they appeared to have a very high rise. But they don't actually, and are super comfortable. I sized up needlessly though, and if I decide to get them again, will just get my usual size.
Belt: No Brand
I found this green leather belt strap on Ebay awhile back. I love that it fits my H buckle!
Boots: TuffRider
I think the time has come to retire the Sport Boot, so I've been wearing this pair of Regals more and more. The Sport Boot has zippers that no longer stay up and they're starting to get a little dry rot. I can't complain, I've had them a couple of years now and taken pretty much zero care of them. The Regals aren't quite as comfy as the Sport Boot, but they're also not nearly as broken in, so hopefully they'll get there. Seriously, anyone looking for a comfy pair of knock around boots, that you could also get away with in the show ring, give these a try!
Spurs: No brand
Spur Straps: Ovation
Yep, those are indeed green spurs. This my friends is what happens when I have a slow day at the desk job. I find things like green spurs on ebay and buy them. They're kind of awesome though, no? Obviously if you have ridiculous green spurs, then you need to pair them with equally ridiculous rainbow glitter straps. Rules, ya know?
So that's what I'm wearing today! Any favorites? What do you have on?

Outfit Day! We're still in the thick of our heat wave (which I'm loving by the way) but I was feeling particularly unmotivated when trying to dress myself today. So I went for casual and comfy.
T-shirt and jeans for the win! And obviously some super cute shoes.
Top: Rue21
I buy my dogs their food at our local outlet mall, so when I stopped for that on Saturday I took a little detour to Rue21. I had to have this cute t-shirt, I love the colors! It may only last a few wearings, but for the super low price tag, I don't mind.
Jeans: Lucky Brand
I think you've all seen these before. I found them in Florida over the winter at Marshalls on the clearance rack. I have no idea why they were there. They're perfect, and I love them. And especially since they were under $20.
Shoes: RedHawk
As a teen in the 90's I spent my summers in white hurachi shoes. They've since made a come back and I was pretty eager to hop on that band wagon. And when I found them in mint?! I hit add to cart and checkout now so fast my credit card didn't know what hit it!
Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is sporting that bracelet I "made" a few weekends ago. Maybe that's why I loved the t-shirt so much? Because it went perfectly with my new bracelet? Probably. I'm pretty shallow like that.
Righty:
Righty is wearing a Stella and Dot wrap bracelet along with an H bracelet. The colors didn't come out quite right on these photos though. They actually are more turquoise than blue and go very well with my top.
I have a riding outfit to share today too!
I'm totally digging button downs and breeches lately. I love this look. Though the long sleeves in this weather can be a bit much...
Top: US Polo Association
I ordered a couple of these button downs by US Polo Association from Zulily recently. They are very lightweight and perfect for summer. They'll be nice layered in the fall too.
Who am I kidding? I totally didn't ride in that last night, it was hot outside:
To be fair, that sensor was in the sun. I think it was really about 92. Not so bad. But not long sleeve weather. I actually wore this scandalously low cut tank top instead. Don't tell anyone. (This is why riding in my back yard is awesome. I can wear inappropriate tank tops and not get judged by anyone other than myself.)
Tank: Old Navy
I wish I could live my life at this angle. I look so slim! (#delusions) I have a bunch of these Old Navy tanks. They used to be cut a little higher which I liked for riding. But what can ya do? I don't make the tops.
Belt: Designer inspired
You'll recognize this one, I know it was on here recently. It's the world's worst Gucci knock off. But I like the white and gold so it gets a lot of wear.
Breeches: SmartPak
I found these denim breeches during one of Smartpak's sales. They're very comfy most of the time. Yesterday though, they were doing the saggy crotch thing that I hate! Hopefully it was just because I was so hot and sweaty. I don't want to hate these pants.
Boots: HKM
I love the look of these SO MUCH! But sadly while riding in them last night, I've decided I don't really like riding in them. Now that they're broken in, they're too big. I don't have a good feel of my horse because I'm slipping around in there. I think I could probably wear them with jeans though, no? They're just so pretty!
Well, that's what I'm wearing today. What do you have on? Have a favorite from above?

Thursday's Threads
You didn't think I'd skip outfit day did you?? Not a chance. I'm just a little late because after working a half day, I flew to Nantucket with my family for the weekend. Woohoo! No responsibilities for 3 whole days!!!! But that's not what we're here to talk about. Let's see what I wore to kick off my Island
That's right, I busted out a party shirt. Bring on vacation! (I really needed a vacation. Clearly. I apologize for the excessive use of exclamation points.)
Top: Magazine
I love the colors on this slightly crazy floral top. It's button down, but only halfway, which is a trend I'm into. I sized up to a medium on this one, and honestly I shouldn't have. But I'm sure I can shrink it up some in the wash.
Jeans: Rue 21
I know right? White jeans are so brave. I'm pretty badass like that... The most miraculous thing is that I ate lobster for dinner followed by a chocolate ice cream cone, kneeled on the dirty side walk to fix my niece's shoe, and didn't get anything on them! It's a vacation miracle! Also, these are REALLY nice quality considering they're from Rue 21. Love the studs on the back pockets.
Belt: Ralph Lauren
I had to have a little something horsey come with me on my trip. Because after one day of not riding I'm going to have withdrawals.
Shoes: Chase & Chloe
Yep. They totally match the shirt. What are the odds? I found both item separately during Zulily's recent blowout sale (you THINK blowout is because they're selling off old inventory for cheap, but it's actually referring to what happens to the money in your wallet). You really can never tell from a computer screen if things will match, but since both items were ridiculously inexpensive I accepted the risk. Totally paid off!
Arm Party:
Lefty:
Lefty is wearing a beaded bracelet from Nakamol from the days long gone of Little Black Bag along with my Apple Watch.
Righty:
Righty has a pretty beaded bracelet though I forget the brand (sorry, bad blogger) and a gorgeous mixed media bracelet from Ettika.
Even though I didn't get to ride today, I have been riding plenty, so I DO have a riding outfit for you!
It's been chilly, no tank tops the past few days!
Top: Dankini
I've had this top on here before. It's one of my favorites. It's washable wool, so it breathes, and it's comfy and I love it! Oh and it even goes in the dryer without shrinking. Win!
Breeches: Irideon
This is my first pair of Irideon breeches. I LOVE the trim color (shocking, I know). I often size up when I don't know a brand when buying breeches. I mush prefer them a little loose to feeling like I'm stuffed inside. In this case I think I should have stuck with my normal size. But we'll see what happens when I dry them!
Belt: Unbranded
It's not quite the exact same shade as the piping. But it's pretty darn close!
Boots: HKM
These are quickly becoming a favorite. After only a handful of rides, they are almost completely broken in. Can't complain about that!
That's it for today! What are you wearing? How's the weather? What's coming up this weekend? Let's talk about it in the comments!

Happy Outfit Day everyone! Apparently it's September here in Ct, so my two outfits are absolute extremes of one another... Let's take a look!
First up is my riding outfit. This was from a couple weekends ago because I didn't remember to take pics last night:
Yes... it was warm that day. I tend not to condone wearing tanks to ride, because you know bouncing stuff, inappropriateness, road rash if you tumble... I could go on and on about how I don't approve of them. But it was 90 degrees that day, and I ride in my backyard. So tank top it was!
Let's look closer:
Tank: Old Navy
I live near an Old Navy outlet so you imagine how crazy cheap tank tops are there. I stock up every year on new colors.
Belt:
This is an unbranded belt. I found it on ebay for 3.99. I love the anchor and the navy blue color! Also, I've seen similar (ok, identical!) belts around in the $40 range, so this was a steal. And what better belt to go with this week's breeches?!
Breeches: Equine Couture
You've seen my schooner breeches before I think... But they're awesome, so I know you don't mind seeing them again.
Boots: Tuffrider
These bad boys are starting to break in. I can't really complain since I haven't worn them all that much. But I am still a little bummed they aren't as soft and awesome as the Regals.
Spur straps: Mane Jane
I think I need to swap straps on these spurs. I have the horse shoes pointing the wrong way! Don't want all my luck draining out. These straps from Mane Jane are REALLY soft, and only a little bit too long for my child sized feet.
Ok that's it for riding apparel this week. Now on to my fall ensemble from today:
Yes. That's a sweater. Where is summer?
Top: Celsius
Ok, to be fair this is an open weave sweater and actually pretty sheer though it doesn't appear that way. So it's for sure a summer weight sweater. But still... More like end of summer! Brrr.
Belt: Sandy Duftler
Ew. Pardon my roll up there above the belt... Anyway, this is my Sandy Duftler belt that is inspired by that $800 Ralph Lauren version. I love this one, and don't wear it nearly as much as I ought to. Fun fact: All those spur belts the equestrians are wearing these days from Equestrilifestyle are made by Sandy Duftler too.
Pants: Express
I know you've seen these before. Dare I say it? I dare. I think these may be my favorite pants... Though that can change from day to day. These are a coated denim, and I LOVE THEM!
Shoes: C-Label
In an effort to remind myself that it is in fact summer (technically I think it's still spring...) I wore some sandals with my sweater. These are completely bad ass with all those spikes on them. And they are pretty sharp, so no sitting on my feet today!
Arm Party:
Lefty:
Lefty is wearing a bow bangle from Kate Spade (because they recently had a sale online...), my leather bangle from Rebecca Minkhoff that my SIL gave me, and my apple watch.
Righty:
Righty is a little nutty today... First up is a spike bracelet I've had for a long time, followed by that AWESOME sunglass bangle that I overpaid for on ebay by Kate Spade (money well spent if you ask me...), and a rhinestone and leather bracelet that I can't for the life of me remember where it came from... Forever21 maybe? Baublebar? I have no idea.
That's what I'm wearing today! What do you have on?
