Thursday's Threads

Outfit Day! We aren't getting too all in on outfits just yet thanks to all the mud required layers to stay warm... But we're getting there! Today's model is Shiny, and here's what she's wearing:

She's the cutest.

Bridle: Pinnacle
Brow band: Dark Jewel Designs
Guess I should have shot this from the other side, I didn't realize it came out so dark! But anyway, this is our bitless bridle from Pinnacle that I really like. I've had a few over the years, and this is my favorite.

Saddle:Butet
Saddle Pad: Smartpak
Half Pad: Stephens
I forgot I had these Smartkpak saddle pads, but I'm glad I rediscovered them because I like them a lot! They are kind of a baby pad hybrid. A little more structured that a regular baby pad, but not bulky like a saddle pad. This half pad was Pammon's, and the quilt barn is green. I only have two green mattes half pads, so this one is serving that purpose for Shiny. It's a hair big for this saddle, but good enough. She isn't wearing boots today because mud.

Here's what I wore this week:
Yeah, it's still been chilly. But today might get to 60 so I'm pretty excited for that! Despite the cold, I'm trying to help spring along with some  pastels today. I thought about wearing the mint colored boots, but they aren't mud friendly so I went with these older ones instead. Still pastel adjacent!

Helmet: One K
I had meant to pop some lavender accents into this helmet, but I forgot apparently. So it's just gray. But it matches my boots anyway!

Sweater: J Crew
Vest: Eddie Bauer
At the end of last winter I replaced my old black Eddie Bauer vest with this new one. The old one was probably ten years old. The pockets were all torn, it had a few small holes, and the zipper was only a few wears away from quitting completely. So it was time. And I'm glad I did it because Eddie Bauer is going out of business. I popped over to their nearby outlet the other day to try and snag some deals, but the deals weren't impressive so I didn't get anything. Aren't you proud of me?!

Belt: C4
Fun fact, I had a dr's appointment in the morning, so I when I chose my outfit I picked the lightest items I could find that were still appropriate for the weather. C4 belts weigh much less than a leather belt, so it had to be one of those!

Breeches: RJ Classics
Most of the newer breeches are VERY light weight, but they aren't warm enough when it's not even 40 degrees out. (Which is a big complaint of mine. I think breeches manufacturers are only catering to people who go to warm climates these days. Winter breeches exist yes, but mostly they are all full seat and tights. Neither of which are what I want.) But I digress, I chose these RJ's today for their light weight but still warm enough fabric.

Boots: Celeris UK

I left a little dirt on the heel to keep this real... Haha! This is actually the second pair of Celeris boots I ever ordered. They'll be seven years old this year, and are still going strong! My first pair which is about six months older than these are ready for a new zipper and for some stitching repairs, but otherwise still in good shape too. I am really impressed with the quality from this brand. I wear these a lot, so they really are durable.

That's it for this week! Any colors or themes you're excited to see soon? Now that it's getting nice out I'm excited to have some fun with outfits again.

Thursday's Threads

Outfit Day! It's officially fall today, boooo. BUT it is in the 80's so I have no complaints. With the change of season comes a change a in color scheme though...

Boom! Fall colors! Sort of. I think if you pair mint green carefully, you can make it work in any season. I may be wrong. But I do it anyway!

Top: Ralph Lauren
Confession: I found this in my drawer with all the tags still on. I'm pretty sure I've had it for awhile now. Oops. It's a fairly basic tee with a nice boat neck trimmed in brown kind of lacey type something. It's a little different without being to crazy.

Pants: Blue Spice
These are a recent addition. I'm regularly wishing I had a good light brown pair of pants, so when I saw these in Marshall's for 16.99 I couldn't pass them by. They claim to be high waisted, but they're more of a mid rise which I like just fine.

Shoes: Sperry
These are from the kids department and are pretty old. I'm sure they've been on here before. I love that they're metallic!

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Left is sporting a couple of stretch bracelets that I made. They are mostly wooden beads, with some stone and metal square beads to mix things up. I'm also wearing my apple watch.

Right:
Righty kept it simple today with two equestrian themed cuff bracelets from Swanky Saddle. I was worried these were going to break in no time, but so far they're holding up great. I've been wearing them most days, and even have showered in them a couple times (oops).

And of course I have a riding outfit to share too!

I may have gone a little too far with all the green... I could have at least not stood next to all the covered trunks! Ha! Oh well.

Top: J. Crew
I had actually worn this to work the other day and was too lazy to change when it was time to ride. It's a cute top, very light weight, so it's great for almost any season.

Breeches: Horze Crescendo
You've definitely seen these before. When they first arrived I thought I might hate them as they appeared to have a very high rise. But they don't actually, and are super comfortable. I sized up needlessly though, and if I decide to get them again, will just get my usual size.

Belt: No Brand
I found this green leather belt strap on Ebay awhile back. I love that it fits my H buckle!

Boots: TuffRider
I think the time has come to retire the Sport Boot, so I've been wearing this pair of Regals more and more. The Sport Boot has zippers that no longer stay up and they're starting to get a little dry rot. I can't complain, I've had them a couple of years now and taken pretty much zero care of them. The Regals aren't quite as comfy as the Sport Boot, but they're also not nearly as broken in, so hopefully they'll get there. Seriously, anyone looking for a comfy pair of knock around boots, that you could also get away with in the show ring, give these a try!

Spurs: No brand
Spur Straps: Ovation
Yep, those are indeed green spurs. This my friends is what happens when I have a slow day at the desk job. I find things like green spurs on ebay and buy them. They're kind of awesome though, no? Obviously if you have ridiculous green spurs, then you need to pair them with equally ridiculous rainbow glitter straps. Rules,  ya know?

So that's what I'm wearing today! Any favorites? What do you have on?

Thursday's Threads

I can't believe it's Thursday already! I feel like this week is flying by. Hopefully the winter will go this quickly, and then it will be spring again! (And then time can slow itself down, please and thank you.) Not that I'm wishing away boot season. Just the cold part.
I have to start off by telling you, I planned today's outfit entirely around my new to me Gucci bag, but in my rush to get out the door this morning, I forgot to switch bags. Can you believe it?! FAIL! But here's a photo of it anyway, pretend I brought it with me:

It's pretty amazing. Hunter green patent leather, with a gold buckle accent. I'm so in love. SO. IN. LOVE. I may switch bags at lunchtime.

And now, finally, here's what I'm wearing today!
I honestly think you've seen all of these items before, just not all together. I'm actually loving the outfit though! It will definitely make a reappearance at work. Let's look closer!

Top: Ralph Lauren
I bought this sweater when I was in need of something to go with my Pour La Victoire tortoise boots. But I love the color because it works with so many different outfits! It's a little bohemian which isn't totally my style, but I really love this piece.

Pants: J. Crew

They're green. They have this amazing zipper detail. They fit me PERFECTLY! What's not to love?!

Belt: Ralph Lauren
Soooo.... I MIGHT have MAYBE bought this last night while I was holiday shopping. But if I did, it was 40% off, so it was totally worth it. I think it will also look amazing with breeches.

Boots: Michael Kors
I still love these. So very much. I've never been a huge fan of the over the knee boot. Probably because I'm short? I'm not sure. But this pair is the exception. Because they are amazing. And I got them for so cheap. Yay for tiny feet!

Accessories:
Necklace: Etsy:

I decided it's time to let my little "S" necklace rest until summer. I love it, but the mint green doesn't work that well with most of my winter wardrobe. So it was time for a more neutral colored necklace. I found this little boot and initial piece on etsy. I think it's adorable. The "S" charm has already lost it's gold though, and I'm trying to decide if I should remove it, or embrace the two tones? Thoughts? Also, It's tough to get a good photo, you'll have to trust me, the details on the little boot are amazing. You can see the "stitching" and it even has a little spur!

Arm Party:
Left:
Lefty is STACKED today! Obviously when getting my necklace, I HAD to also have the matching bracelet. It's the cutest Etsy shop, you should stop by there. (And you can by clicking here.) They also made the little pug bracelet. The saddle was a gift from my mom and is from Alex and Ani. By now you're familiar with my trusty watch! And probably also the name bracelet and the Gucci bangle.

Right:
I kept it simple on the right side to balance me out a little. This is a brown leather and gold wrap bracelet that my dad and stepmom brought back for me from Italy. It's so much prettier than it looks here, and it actually rather delicate. Love it!

So that's it for today! What are you wearing? Have you ever planned your outfit around something you're just dying to wear/use? And then forgot it? Haha... Probably only me.

Thursday's Threads

Thursday's Threads day already! I have some new stuff to show you today from my "running errands" this weekend... And by that I mean the ridiculous amount of money I spent at J.Crew when I went shopping for a birthday present for my sister-in-law and bought myself presents instead.
BUT FIRST... let me take a selfie:

Ha! See what I did there?! My outfit is conflicted today: casual pony sweatshirt on the top and slightly dressy pony shoes on the bottom... But they match! So whatever. Let's look closer!

Top: JCrew
PONY SWEATSHIRT! I have this weird need to buy all the pony clothes when they are at stores that aren't generally pony biased. So obviously I needed to buy this. Plus it was on sale. It's comfy and cute and I love it.

Pants: Earl Jeans
These have been featured before. I gave the black jeans the summer off, and they're just working back into the rotation for fall/winter. I was worried they might be snug, but they're perfect! Yay for not getting any chubbier!

Shoes: JCrew
The lighting is funny here, but they're a nice charcoal gray wool with black ponies. SO CUTE! How does one NOT buy gray pony shoes? Seriously, tell me how. (Side note, I would not have bought them if they were not 40% off. The original price was over $100. That my friends is when you don't buy pony shoes. On a similar note, I want THESE really badly, but they are way tooooo much money.)

Accessories!
Lefty:
Your eyes are not deceiving you, I promise! I actually wore my silver watch today! Whoa! It's by A-Line and I've had it for a couple years now. The bracelet next to it is an Hermes inspired bangle from Ebay.

Righty:
Righty has a giant version of the same bracelet lefty is wearing. Momma and baby bangles! Heehee... The other one is a leather and stone bracelet I got from Zulilly.

Purse:

GUCCI!!!! I want all of the Gucci. ALL OF IT! But we all know I'm super frugal. I got these on Ebay. The wallet is pretty well loved, but the purse looks like it was used maybe twice ever. GREAT FINDS!

So that's it for today. What are you wearing?
