Thursday's Threads: Autumn Edition Part I

Outfit Day!! We'll be doing Autumn themes for the month of October and today is the first edition! Eros is our model today, so let's see what he has on:

Please excuse my shadow... I feel like Eros is an Autumn, Shiny is a summer and Al is a winter. If I wasn't so overwhelmed I'd be looking for a spring...

Bridle: Joseph Sterling
Browband: Home made by me

This is one of my favorite silly browbands. I made it a couple of years ago, and I look forward to using it every October! I'm disappointed in myself for only making a horse and a cob though. I should have made two horse sized. Al will have something different for his Autumn week.

Saddle: Butet
Saddle Pad: Ogilvy
Half Pad: Mattes
I love this fall themed ribbon! The old timey pick up truck and pumpkins! So cute!

Eros didn't wear any wraps today since we're just flatting these days. (My neighbor has been trying really hard to off us, so we're keeping things a little simple this week.)

My turn! Here's what I wore for outfit day this week:

I'm not sure cow screams Autumn, but I wanted to wear them. And it's my outfit so I did.

Helmet: One K Avance CCS with MIPS

Still loving my sparkly front shield on this helmet, almost a year later!

Sweater: Pink Rose
Snagged this cute zip up cardigan from Marshall's a few weeks ago for like $15 and it is perfect for fall. Plus it matches all my stuff. Win-win!

Belt: Lucky Brand
This was one of my retail therapy purchases earlier this week. It's a little hard to see from this photo, but the cords running horizontally are brown and green and the stitches holding them on are tan, so it's PERFECT. Had to have it! Should have bought a size smaller, I need to punch a hole. Funny how differently belts fit with breeches vs jeans.

Breeches: Tailored Sportsman
Over the last several months I've been stalking used tack stores, Facebook, and Poshmark for TS in the old fabric in my size. I snagged this pair from a second tack shop for under $100. Super deal, and they looked brand new!

Boots: Celeris UK
Sometimes blogger makes my photos really dark, and I find that a little annoying. Fortunately you all know how fab these boots truly are. My favorites!

And that's it for today. I'm already looking forward to next week's Thursday's Threads! Except, you should expect me to be dirty for that one as I have zero help for the next ten days. Oof.

Thursday's Threads

Outfit Day! We almost didn't have one today. And it's half a repeat of last week. And our model is going out of turn. All of this because my worker called out sick today. I had some things for work I had to get done early, so I started chores late (fear not, I fed on time!) and then I had to drag the ring. So by the time I was free to start riding it was close to 4pm. So I only rode one today. And I picked Shiny. Here's what she was wearing today:

Yes, I didn't swap out our pads this week. They really aren't dirty, so one more inconsistent week it is for the brown pads!

Bridle: Joseph Sterling
Browband: Dark Jewel Designs
It took some begging to get her ears up for this photo. Thankfully, I swear this pony understands English because I explained to her that the sooner she takes a nice photo the sooner we get to our ride and then to dinner. Dinner got the ears up.

Saddle: Butet
Saddle Pad: Ogilvy
Half Pad: Stephens

I'm still waiting on our new Mattes half pad. They take awhile. This one isn't bad though!

That's it for Shiny's outfit. She's not wearing boots for a flat day. So it's my turn! I made sure to wear something a little fun to make up for the repeat horse outfit.

A little pink today! I love pink and green together.

Helmet: One K Avance CCS Mips
My helmet isn't actually that dirty. That is Deep Woods Off dry formula. The gnats here are out of control! And I don't want to have to go back on the prednisone for gnat bites.

Top: Annva
I have mixed feelings about this top. The material is softer than some of the other brands I wear, but it also makes the hay stick more. So that's annoying. I love the color though.

Belt: Tory Burch
Tory Burch makes a nice belt. I have a few and they have all held up really nicely for many years.

Breeches: Tailored Sportsman
This is a great shade of pink! They match really nicely with the pink on my lime green boots too. So you'll probably see them again pretty soon because I haven't worn those boots in awhile.

Boots: Celeris UK
The pink boots are still so fun! They're one of my older pairs, but I still love them. And they're in great shape too!

That's it for today. Some day I will have something fun for you guys again. Hopefully.

Thursday's Threads

Outfit Day! We're still being boring over here, but fun boots make it a little better. Eros is our model today, and here's what he had on:

I know he's lost some muscles, but he sure is looking pretty good otherwise. The belly isn't hanging quite so low these days.

Bridle: Pinnacle
Browband: Boy O'Boy Bridleworks

I'm not sure why this photo is so dark here, it looks normal on my phone... Oh well. Here is Eros modeling with his eyes closed because he's had enough of me, but also his ears are up because he likes to look nice.

Saddle: Butet
Half Pad: Mattes
Baby Pad: Ogilvy
Plugging along with our love of neutrals over here! I really love these brown pads. I'm so glad they brought this color back!

We didn't jump so Eros didn't have any leg protection on today. So it's my turn! Here's what I had on:

Layers my friends. We've reached layering season.

Helmet: One K Avance CCS MIPS

Went with this helmet today because I wanted a little sparkle.

Zip up: Aerie (I think)
I had to get my annual bloodwork done today so I had to wear short sleeves, but it is not short sleeves weather. So I added this zip up on top. Which wound up being the perfect layers for today's weather. It wasn't terribly cold, mid 60's I think, but it was pretty windy making it feel cooler.

Belt: Tory Burch
Tory Burch has lovely belts. They wear really well. I've had this one for several years now and it looks almost new still.

Breeches: Tailored Sportsman
I finally found a reasonably priced pair of brown TS to add to my hoard now that this fabric is discontinued.

Boots: Celeris UK
Nothing makes a stressful week a little happier than cow print boots! Trust me. It's true.

And that's it for today! Any favorites? Starting to feel like fall where you are yet?

Thursday's Threads: Storm Cloud Edition

Outfit Day! I chose this week's theme based on the weather. We're stuck in an unsettled weather pattern here in the northeast, and the sun hasn't been seen since Monday. Thus far, we've been lucky here and the severe weather has fizzled out before reaching our area. So it's just been a little dreary and drizzly. So how does one match an outfit to dreary weather you ask? Eeyore! Everyone's favorite sad donkey of course! Eros, who kind of resembled Eeyore when we first met him, was the obvious choice to model today. Here's what he had on:

Don't worry, you'll see better when we look at our tack more closely. And try to disregard that sad top line. We've been so inconsistent this year. It will come back!

Bridle: Joseph Sterling
Browband: Homemade by me
I probably should have posted one of the many versions of this where he looked sad and dejected. But this one is too cute not to share.

Saddle: Butet
Half Pad: Mattes
Baby Pad: Ogilvy, embellished by me

How adorable is that Eeyore trim? Eeyore is my favorite cartoon.

Wraps: Centaur, embellished by me

I forgot to snap a photo of these pre-ride, so here they are all dirty afterwards.

Okay, my turn! Here's what I had on:
I was planning to wear navy boots, but then they really weren't working with the shade of blue on the breeches. So went with gray instead.

Helmet: Samshield
I recently learned that the five years maximum for a helmet actually starts at first wear rather than manufacture date, so I'm feeling even better about the great deal I got on this pretty helmet!

Tee shirt: Amazon
Awww, poor sad Eeyore. At least he's TRYING to look on the bright side.

Belt: Homemade by me
Still loving my interchangeable belt over here. I have some ideas for version 2.0, but haven't gotten around to attempting them yet.

Breeches: Horse Pilot
I snagged these on sale some place a few years ago, and I really like them. I don't see them marked down very often though.

Boots: Celeris UK
These weren't really the perfect match for today's outfit but they served the purpose well enough. They match public domain Eeyore (the OG) better than the Disney version. I guess I should have looked for OG Eeyore ribbons and shirts instead. Maybe another time!

That's it for this week! Any favorite items from today? Are you an Eeyore fan?

Thursday's Threads

Outfit Day! But I have to be honest, I forgot to take horse pictures every single day this week. Fortunately, the horses have worn this outfit many a time, so I have some photos from last year to share of Al's outfit. Here's what he had on:

We're sticking with barn colors for now because I haven't recovered enough from the last couple of weekends to turn on the creative side of my brain.

Bridle: Pinnacle
Browband: Boy O'Boy Bridleworks
He isn't using this bit anymore, but the rest of the bridle is the same! Pretend that's a full cheek.

Saddle: Butet
Baby Pad: Ogilvy
Half Pad: Mattes
This is definitely my favorite set up. A mattes half pad an Ogilvy baby pad. I still like the Anatomeq pads too, but they're pretty expensive and don't have a ton of options.

He didn't have boots on this week because it's a flat only week. So here's what I wore:

I was bored with full barn color outfits, so I mixed it up a little bit this week.

Helmet: One K Avance CCS MIPS
I also apparently forgot a helmet photo. But I wore this one. (Clearly, I'm not caught up on sleep!)

Top: Luyaa

I love a good pastel! Lilac and powder pink both pair really nicely with green.

Belt: Mane Jane
Opted for a nice neutral for my belt this week. I still love my Mane Jane belts, even if the buckles are started to show their age.

Breeches: Tailored Sportsman
These are dark teal, so a bit of a stray from the usual darker green. I just discovered these have a hole in the butt seam which makes me very sad. But I have a pile of breeches to bring in for repairs so I'll add these to the pile. Nothing a few stitches can't fix!

Boots: Celeris UK
I don't think I've shared these in awhile! Definitely still on the favorites list. They're SO comfy!

And that's it for this week! Any favorites?
