Thursday's Threads

Outfit Day! It's officially fall today, boooo. BUT it is in the 80's so I have no complaints. With the change of season comes a change a in color scheme though...

Boom! Fall colors! Sort of. I think if you pair mint green carefully, you can make it work in any season. I may be wrong. But I do it anyway!

Top: Ralph Lauren
Confession: I found this in my drawer with all the tags still on. I'm pretty sure I've had it for awhile now. Oops. It's a fairly basic tee with a nice boat neck trimmed in brown kind of lacey type something. It's a little different without being to crazy.

Pants: Blue Spice
These are a recent addition. I'm regularly wishing I had a good light brown pair of pants, so when I saw these in Marshall's for 16.99 I couldn't pass them by. They claim to be high waisted, but they're more of a mid rise which I like just fine.

Shoes: Sperry
These are from the kids department and are pretty old. I'm sure they've been on here before. I love that they're metallic!

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Left is sporting a couple of stretch bracelets that I made. They are mostly wooden beads, with some stone and metal square beads to mix things up. I'm also wearing my apple watch.

Right:
Righty kept it simple today with two equestrian themed cuff bracelets from Swanky Saddle. I was worried these were going to break in no time, but so far they're holding up great. I've been wearing them most days, and even have showered in them a couple times (oops).

And of course I have a riding outfit to share too!

I may have gone a little too far with all the green... I could have at least not stood next to all the covered trunks! Ha! Oh well.

Top: J. Crew
I had actually worn this to work the other day and was too lazy to change when it was time to ride. It's a cute top, very light weight, so it's great for almost any season.

Breeches: Horze Crescendo
You've definitely seen these before. When they first arrived I thought I might hate them as they appeared to have a very high rise. But they don't actually, and are super comfortable. I sized up needlessly though, and if I decide to get them again, will just get my usual size.

Belt: No Brand
I found this green leather belt strap on Ebay awhile back. I love that it fits my H buckle!

Boots: TuffRider
I think the time has come to retire the Sport Boot, so I've been wearing this pair of Regals more and more. The Sport Boot has zippers that no longer stay up and they're starting to get a little dry rot. I can't complain, I've had them a couple of years now and taken pretty much zero care of them. The Regals aren't quite as comfy as the Sport Boot, but they're also not nearly as broken in, so hopefully they'll get there. Seriously, anyone looking for a comfy pair of knock around boots, that you could also get away with in the show ring, give these a try!

Spurs: No brand
Spur Straps: Ovation
Yep, those are indeed green spurs. This my friends is what happens when I have a slow day at the desk job. I find things like green spurs on ebay and buy them. They're kind of awesome though, no? Obviously if you have ridiculous green spurs, then you need to pair them with equally ridiculous rainbow glitter straps. Rules,  ya know?

So that's what I'm wearing today! Any favorites? What do you have on?

Thursdays Threads!

It's OUTFIT DAY!!! Woohoo! AND a half day at work. That's a good Thursday my friends. After work I'm heading out to start my long weekend, so I wanted to wear something comfortable for the drive.
I also wanted to look like a construction worker apparently! Haha, just kidding. I love orange!

Polo shirt: Ralph Lauren
My favorite thing about this one? That horsey insignia is a jumping horse! And it's jumping really well too.

Jeans: Rue 21
PONY POCKETS! I love these jeans. Also sorry for the photo of my bum. But I had to show the ponies. The horse shoe is even turned in the right direction so the luck doesn't run out.

Belt: Designer inspired
I found this ostrich embossed leather belt strap on ebay for a steal, and added one of my H buckles to complete the look.

Shoes: Sperry
I'm not sure how much of a fashion faux pas it is to mix exotic leathers... but these are meant to look like alligator. I couldn't find ostrich ones, so I settled for these. I love them regardless!

Arm party!
Lefty:
Lefty is wearing a wrap bracelet with a bit for a clasp from Fornash and my iWatch which I'm sure you're tired of already. Our parent company is hosting a steps challenge this month though, so I have to wear it everyday! If I manage around 6,000 steps a day, I'll get a $75 bonus. Woohoo!

Righty:
Righty is all about the designer inspired orange today. The first two are ebay specials and that leather bangle is from Fornash.

I also have a whaley ridiculous riding outfit to share today!
In this very washed out photo, it's hard to tell how silly my outfit is... but you'll see when we look closer!

Polo Shirt: Vineyard Vines
Blue with pink whales ALLL over! I love this top. I found it two years ago when I went to Nantucket at the end of the season. That's the best time to go, not too crowded and EVERYTHING is on sale!

Breeches: Equine Couture
Blue seersucker with pink whales!!! So many whales... Now you see the crazy, yes? Whatever. I think it's cute. I stopped myself from also using the whale saddle pad... but only because I was too lazy to dig it out of the saddle pad trunk.

Belt: Vineyard Vines
I got this guy a few years back in VT at the Vineyard Vines outlet. It was a good find, but the way the buckle is, I have to wear the belt the opposite way I normally wear them. Not a big deal until I have to pee and can't figure out how to get it open!

So that's what I'm wearing today and yesterday. What do you have on? Have a favorite from above? Let's chat below!

Thursday's Threads

Outfit Day!!!! I nearly forgot to take pics of my riding outfit yesterday! Thankfully I remembered before I switched to my jammies. We'll start there this week:
Yes, you're seeing that right. A long sleeve T! NOT a sweatshirt! I think it might actually finally be spring here in CT. Hope it sticks around. Or turns to summer. Either is fine.

Top: OTTB Outfitters
I love this graphic and the saying: "OTTB- So nice, we use them twice". So cute. Unfortunately, these are no longer available as OTTB Outfitters has closed their doors. I'm super sad. I wanted to get Romey some more baby pads and me a short sleeved shirt for summer.

Breeches: ROMFH
I love the subtle baroque print on these. They are REALLY comfy. This was my first pair of ROMFH breeches, and I would definitely order again. I now have these and a brown pair, but I will say they fit totally differently. I sized up to a 30 since I wasn't sure how they ran. This pair fits great even after washing and drying. The brown pair though, I should have ordered my normal size as they are a little big. You just never know with pants!

Belt: LV
LV goes with everything. I liked this light gray color with this outfit. Is this a black and white photo? You can't tell! (No, it's not.)

That's what I wore riding last night. It was such a gorgeous night, and the horses even behaved themselves! Thank you 70 degrees. Today is ridiculous it's so nice out. It's supposed to get up to the high 70's and the sun is shining! I was born for days like this. I HAD to dress accordingly:

Well mostly... I am still wearing a sweater, but it's light weight. How about them floral pants? I thought they would be too much on my larger lower half, but I think they're working. Let's look closer...

Top: Old Navy
I had trouble getting a decent photo of the olive color. This one is a bit washed out. It's a nice olive green. The material is actually ribbon which gives it a springy feeling. I've had this top for YEARS. It's comfy and classy all at the same time.

Pants: Dear John
I was slow to hop back on the floral train. I remember wearing it back when I was a youngster, early 90's I think? And when it first came back last year, I was not into it. Not at all. But I'm coming around. And these pants are pretty perfect. They do have one creepy feature though...
One of the plants has a face! Weird, right? Seems intentional? At least it's a happy face, making it mildly less creepy. Mildly.

Shoes: Sperry TopSider
I warned you that these would appear often. Here they are again! Seriously love these shoes.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is donning a gorgeous rhinestone and metal bracelet from Ettika. The part you can't see is actually ribbon that matches the sweater almost perfectly. I love when that happens.

Righty:
Righty is wearing a couple of stretch bracelets with turtle beads that I made, as well as a gorgeous hemp bracelet from Nicole's Creations. That hemp matches the sweater perfectly! It's like Nicole even knows my wardrobe...

Well, that's what I'm wearing today. What do you have on?

Thursdays Threads

Outfit Day! And I'm tardy again. I was busy trying to decide which instant camera to get for the Photo Booth at Rio's birthday. Also, I am going to be really poor after this. I hope he appreciates it! Anyway, I was able to "ride" (I use that term loosely) last night so I have a riding outfit and a very casual work outfit for you today. We'll start with riding since that happened first.
So I have this new phone. And it takes LIVE photos! They're super creepy. If you touch the screen the photo actually shows me moving. Very Harry Potter. It won't work through the blog though so stop touching your screen. You know you tried it. Admit it. Anyway, here's what I wore last night up close!

Top: Under Armor
Oldie but goody! I really like Under Armour apparel, but not really the price tag. We have an outlet nearby so I've managed to score some deals at least.

Breeches: Smartpak

These are the new Piper breeches from Smartpak. They just arrived while I was in Florida, and I couldn't wait to try them out. I like them well enough. Don't love, but definitely like. They do that falling down thing that Equine Couture breeches do to me. But it's mostly just when I'm not on a horse. So I guess that's not so important? It's still kind of annoying though. They may get better once I wash them. The other Pipers I have did. Also, look how close the sweatshirt color is to the piping! Impressive!

Ok, on to my very casual work outfit:
I'm trying to think Spring with a little powder pink today!

Top: American Eagle Outfitters
I love that the gold is sparkly on here, but not in your face sparkly. Just enough. Also, how pretty is powder pink and gold?

Jeans: Wallflower
I found these on Zulilly a few weeks ago for super cheap and was excited to get them. They are reminiscent of some jeans I had in college, which makes me wonder if they're actually in style? But then also, I don't really care if they are or not, because they are awesome. They're super comfy, and fit perfectly. Not too long, not too tight. Just right. Ahhhh magic pants!

Belt: Mane Jane
I wore my gold Mane Jane belt strap today with the logo buckle. I seriously can't get enough of these belts. Go order one! GO! Sorry. Didn't mean to get pushy.

Shoes: Sperry Top Sider
Aren't these adorable? Metallic powder pink boat shoes! I got them several years ago in the kids section. They're the best.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty has some adorable bangles I found on Etsy up first. The pug bracelet cost me an arm and a leg, but it was totally worth it. The underside has Live*Love*Bark etched on it. So cute. The horsey wasn't too pricey, and is equally adorable. And of course you'll recognize my apple watch.

Righty:
Righty stacked them high today! First up is a stretch bracelet I made using real stone beads. I love the pink and bronze together. Next is a friendship bracelet from Nicole's Creations, followed by one from Nakamol. And last is an Hermes inspired ebay special which I love because GLITTER!

And that's what I'm wearing today! What do you have on? Have you tried the new SmartPak breeches yet?

Thursday's Threads: St Patrick's Day Edition

Happy Thursday everyone! It's outfit DAY! AND it's a theme day! Being that probably 60% of my wardrobe is some shade of green, it's not very difficult to dress for St. Patty's day. So let's see what I dug out of the closet for today:
Yep, I went with an old standby. Nothing like a nice cable knit sweater and some Sperry's!
Sweater: Ralph Lauren
I like that this sweater has a boat neck instead the usual round neckline you see on these cable knits. I also love the gold buttons for a little something extra.

Jeans: Rue 21
These are oldies but goodies! I'm a little behind on laundry so I didn't have too many options for light colored denim.

Belt: Delia's
What better day to bust out my beer cap belt?! Though this belt is clearly sending a terrible message about drinking and driving, I do appreciate it in a stylish sense. The belt itself is made from recycled tire tube and the buckle is from a real seat belt from back in the day. The bottle caps are actual beer caps too. I got this belt when I was 17. Which means it's approaching its 19th birthday. This belt is older than Jamp. Whoa.

Shoes: Sperry's
It's no secret that I have a Sperry's addiction. And obviously finding a pair in hunter green was like a dream come true! So much love for these. Forever and always.

Lefty:
My photos wouldn't rotate today... sorry friends! Lefty is sporting a couple of Nakamol bracelets from the days of Little Black Bag. Nakamol makes the prettiest friendship bracelets! I need to go through my hoards of bracelets and find them all again. Lefty is also sporting my apple watch. You may be thinking the strap looks a lot darker, and you would be right... Last week when I oiled bridles, I forgot to remove my watch. So it also got oiled. It's a lot darker now, but it's also really soft. So I can't decide if I've ruined it or made it better.

Righty:
It's really bothering me that this photo is upside down. I mean... REALLY BOTHERING ME! But technology and I don't always see eye to eye, so I guess upside down it shall stay. This entire stack came from Nicole's Creations. You'll learn more about it when I finally get around to catching up on the last several months! I love all of these bracelets. The color is bright and fun, I love the "dream" plate on the wide one, and the bead on the chain bracelet is GORGEOUS!

I forgot to get pictures from riding last night, so no horsey outfit today. Hopefully next week!
What are you wearing today? Did you remember to wear your green?
