Happy Thursday everyone! It's outfit DAY! AND it's a theme day! Being that probably 60% of my wardrobe is some shade of green, it's not very difficult to dress for St. Patty's day. So let's see what I dug out of the closet for today:
Yep, I went with an old standby. Nothing like a nice cable knit sweater and some Sperry's!
Sweater: Ralph Lauren
I like that this sweater has a boat neck instead the usual round neckline you see on these cable knits. I also love the gold buttons for a little something extra.
Jeans: Rue 21
These are oldies but goodies! I'm a little behind on laundry so I didn't have too many options for light colored denim.
Belt: Delia's
What better day to bust out my beer cap belt?! Though this belt is clearly sending a terrible message about drinking and driving, I do appreciate it in a stylish sense. The belt itself is made from recycled tire tube and the buckle is from a real seat belt from back in the day. The bottle caps are actual beer caps too. I got this belt when I was 17. Which means it's approaching its 19th birthday. This belt is older than Jamp. Whoa.
Shoes: Sperry's
It's no secret that I have a Sperry's addiction. And obviously finding a pair in hunter green was like a dream come true! So much love for these. Forever and always.
Lefty:
My photos wouldn't rotate today... sorry friends! Lefty is sporting a couple of Nakamol bracelets from the days of Little Black Bag. Nakamol makes the prettiest friendship bracelets! I need to go through my hoards of bracelets and find them all again. Lefty is also sporting my apple watch. You may be thinking the strap looks a lot darker, and you would be right... Last week when I oiled bridles, I forgot to remove my watch. So it also got oiled. It's a lot darker now, but it's also really soft. So I can't decide if I've ruined it or made it better.
Righty:
It's really bothering me that this photo is upside down. I mean... REALLY BOTHERING ME! But technology and I don't always see eye to eye, so I guess upside down it shall stay. This entire stack came from Nicole's Creations. You'll learn more about it when I finally get around to catching up on the last several months! I love all of these bracelets. The color is bright and fun, I love the "dream" plate on the wide one, and the bead on the chain bracelet is GORGEOUS!
I forgot to get pictures from riding last night, so no horsey outfit today. Hopefully next week!
What are you wearing today? Did you remember to wear your green?

Thursday's Threads!
It's a slow day over here on Thursday's Threads. This old asthmatic decided not to run in the 75 degree 100% humidity this morning, so no running outfit. And I forgot to take outfit pictures last night when I was in the barn, so no riding outfit either! Ah! Bad blogger! But I have a super cute work outfit for today at least!
That's right. I wore a DRESS! To work! I'm sure I'll regret this choice once the jet-engine of an air conditioner gets pumping... But for now it's adorable. Pardon my neon white legs. I ride horses.
Dress: Fantastic Fawn
I love this dress. I love everything about it. The length, the pattern, the colors, the style... EVERYTHING! I actually have it in two different patterns. Because I have so much love for it. I received them both in mystery totes from Moxie.Style which I am hoping to do a full post on very soon! Moxie.Style is a fairly new website that I recently discovered and am completely hooked on. I'll tell you more and show you all kinds of fun clothes I've purchased from them in the very near future!
Shoes: Guess
Ugh. My feet. Sorry. Ew. But the flip flops are super cute. They're leather with rhinestones. And MINT! These were from the final days of Little Black Bag. I had forgotten all about them and they've been sitting unworn in their box. Shame on me!
Arm Party:
Lefty:
Lefty is adorning a hot pink spike bracelet from Forever21, a beaded friendship bracelet from Ettika, and of course, my trusty watch.
Righty:
Righty is wearing a wrap bracelet from Ettika and one of ebay finds. If you look closely at the wrap bracelet, you can see there's a strip of rhinestones under the blue leather. So fun!

Thursday's Threads
I think Thursday's Threads is becoming my favorite weekly post. On the negative side however, I'm constantly wanting to buy more stuff to share with you. I need to stop doing that. There's plenty to be found in the depths of my closets! (Yes plural... stop judging me.)
For fun this week, I thought I'd start out with two of my riding outfits this week. I never really share those and I know I have horsey readers who might like to see! For those of you non-horsey friends, we call these schooling outfits since they are not suitable to be worn in the show ring. There are many rules about what you can and cannot wear, but to simplify those for the non equine crowd: no flashy colors! And obviously I love colors. (Also you have to wear a hunt coat (blazer) most of the time which obviously I'm not wearing at home in the 75 degrees.) So enough blabbering! Here's what I wore on Tues and Wed this week to ride:
Wait! A little more blabbering... I change after work in the barn, and I don't have a mirror there, so this is the best I can do photo-wise. Sorry about that.
Tuesday's Outfit:
Top: Rue 21
I found this bad boy in the clearance section for $3. I also wore it to work that day. A little Charlie Brown feel to it, no?
Breeches (pants, pronounced britches): Ovation
I forget the style name of these, but they are said to be cut looser and they are. I love them! They are perfect for my <<ahem>> generous thigh area. No clinging or pulling down. Did you know when you're pants are small they will fall downwards? No? Well they do... Toward the thinner parts of your legs. It's awful, and you wind up with saggy crotch, and it's not because you're skinny. #riderproblems
Belt: Gucci
I love ebay. That is all.
Boots: Tuffrider Sport Boot
Sorry these are filthy. I really like to keep my boots clean and shiny, but for everyday, that's pretty much impossible with my schedule. I use these only for riding at home, so until now, no one knew my dirty little boot secret. These boots are similar to the Regals I showed you in my boot comparison post. They have an added stretchy panel in the front and no laces though. Also the toes are rounded and a bit wider. I don't think these are the most attractive boots around, but they are SO COMFORTABLE! I could live in them. Also I found them on sale for $130. For decent riding boots, that's pretty unheard of.
Helmet: Charles Owen Custom GR8 with Personally Preppy Monogram on the back
It would seem I deleted the photo of my helmet head-on, but this shot with Ducky shows it pretty well. It's a little hard to see, but there are two strips of piping on it, one gold (that one stands out!) and one hunter green. My farm colors are hunter green and tan, but for some items I like to swap the tan for gold. It's more fun! I added the monogram to the back, partly because all the cool kids have them, but mostly because my good friend sent this to me as a gift. I'm not ready to decorate my ridiculously expensive show helmet with one, but I like it for my practice helmet.
Wednesday's Outfit:
Top: I'm sorry... I can't remember the brand on this ADORABLE top and I forgot to look this morning...
If it helps, I got it at TJ Maxx in the athletic section. But sadly... no idea what the brand is. I think it starts with a K though.
Breeches: Annie's USA
I LOVE these crazy purple breeches. I also have them in Tiffany Blue which you may have seen in the boot comparison post. These pants are so incredibly soft and stretchy. Highly recommend them!
Belt: Designer Inspired
Another Ebay find. I was super excited to finally find a pink one!
Boots and helmet are the same everyday.
I was going to skip my running outfit today... but then I wore donut tights, and I knew you'd want to see those, so...
Tights: Kohls
Found these on the clearance rack for $6. Yes please! (I run for donuts.)
Top: Ariat
It was freezing today so the jacket had to come out. Brrrrr.
Shorts and shoes I've shown you before, so for the sake of shortening this up, we'll skip those.
Ok on to the work outfit!
I hope you all like seeing mint colored outfits... I'm a mint-a-holic, and they will be plentiful this season.
Top: Rue 21
You know how earlier I said there were plenty of items to be found in my closets? Yeah, I meant that literally. Found this at the bottom of one of my drawers with the tags still on. <<hangs head in shame>> I really like it!
Pants: Rue 21
You've seen these many times before so no need to dwell...
Shoes: Sperry
Found these in the kiddie section. MINT SPERRY'S!!!! Yay :)

I had seen this bracelet on Little Black Bag when someone must have returned it. It had been sold on there before I joined. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get my hands on the re-stock. But I wanted it SO BADLY! Thankfully, when they were getting ready to close up shop, they must have found some old stock. I clicked BUY the second I saw it!
Right:
This gorgeous wrap bracelet also came from LBB. It's by the brand Bindi. These were super popular on that site, and you had to act quickly to get your hands on one. They are very similar to the far more expensive Chan Lu bracelets. The other bracelet is one that I put together a little bit ago. These two match each other so well! Who knew?
Sorry this was so long today. I just really wanted to share some horsey outfits! What are you wearing today?

We got to see the sun this weekend!!!
I mentioned last week that we hadn't seen the sun here in FOREVER. Thankfully it was out full force for the majority of the weekend. AND it was in the forties (which is warmish for this time of year). That makes for a happy Stacie, and a lovely weekend.
Saturday was super busy. I was up and out of the house by 7 to feed and turnout the horses. While they were out I cleaned their stalls. I was done by 11 so I could meet up with my friend Tracy and take a lesson with her at the barn where she rides. I'm sorry to say I forgot to take pictures of the adorable little mare I got to ride. But I had SO MUCH FUN! I'm really enjoying getting to ride some different horses. And it's really making me aware of all the habits I've accumulated by riding only my own horses. Apparently I assume all horses drift left, and can't understand why my distance doesn't work out when the horse I'm riding actually goes straight... Ok, I totally understand. But I still let it happen anyway. This is why I'm an amateur.
I had enough time after riding to get home, feed my four legged kids, and get showered and dressed for my company holiday party. For the last few years it's been held at the Fox Hopyard.
I actually look forward to the party every year. The food there is amazing, and it's nice to see the coworkers in a social setting once in awhile. Here's what I wore:
Dress: Max Studio
Shoes: Nine West
Necklace: From Little Black Bag, I forget the brand... sorry!
Watch: Betsey Johnson
Confession... the watch under that jewel isn't actually working... shhhhh don't tell!
Bracelets: From Little Black Bag
Ring: Family heirloom
Wristlet: Prada
From my dad, he has amazing taste.
It was a fun evening. I stuffed myself full of delicious food. And in true old lady fashion, was home by 10:45. In my jammies by 11. It was a long day, but full of fun things!
Sunday I was spoiled, as I had a helper in the barn. My plan was to sleep in and then get breakfast in town at The Villager. But I woke up at 7. Go figure. I lounged around for a bit before heading out for breakfast. Ran a few errands after that and was back at the homestead by 1. I let the dogs out, then spent a few hours giving the horses some much needed extensive grooming. I don't know how they get so dirty when they are wearing blankets. They really are good at what the do! The remainder of the day was dedicated to laundry mostly. And wrapping a few presents. Here's one of the gifts for my mom:
Dad's getting one too, only his frame is navy. He doesn't like green. How handsome is Rio in this picture?! Makes me miss summer SO MUCH!
The chores were done by 9 pm and the pugs got some much deserved cuddle time. I shall leave you with some adorable photos of the short kids:
Hope you all had a great weekend too!

Thursday's Threads
Yay for French Fry Leggings! (Yes they deserve capital letters!) I ran slow, but with a friend and her dog. It felt great to get back out there! Everything is better with friends, especially running.
But that's not why you're here today... Sorry for rambling. Back to matters at hand. So it's cold out, which means I need some warm clothes! I may or may not have done some shopping this weekend at the Calvin Klein outfit. And I maybe found a STEAL! You'll see below... You know, if it happened. (Spoiler: Obviously that happened.)
So here's today's outfit:
I couldn't really get a great photo in the mirror today, sorry about that! I totally envy real fashion bloggers who have friends or relatives to take amazing photos for them. But hey, I get the job done at least. Sort of. So let's take a closer look at everything!
Top(s):
Vest: Calvin Klein
Shirt: Old Navy
While I admit this vest is maybe supposed to be outer wear... I'm wearing it inside. It's freezing in my office anyway. I love the bright blue. And I love even more that it was 60% off. Yep, $31.00 for this amazing bright blue vest! Plus, when I bought my brother's birthday gift at Tommy Hilfiger, they gave me 10% off to use at Calvin Klein. Total bargain right here!
The shirt which you can't really see in today's photos, is just a plain, black, long sleeved tee from Old Navy. I've had it awhile, and I imagine was somewhere around $10.00. I prefer to get my plain wear-under-stuff items from Old Navy. I don't see a need to spend a ton of money on something simple, when these hold up just fine, and if they don't, they were cheap anyway.
Pants: Almost Famous
I'm pretty certain you've seen these before. What's not to love? Black, skinny jeans... Gold zippers... They're definitely on the favorite list!
Shoes: Isaac Mizrahi
Yeah, I know. They're amazing. Metallic blue leather, suede, punched toe detail... COMFORTABLE! I'm almost jealous of myself for having them. I got them from Zulilly awhile ago. I broke my rule of never paying more than $40 for shoes on them too. But you now what? Totally worth it. TOTALLY!
Accessories:
Necklace:
I love this double strander! So much that I bought it in two colors. They were apart of the big Little Black Bag goes out of business sale.
Arm Parties:
Left:
I kept it equine related on this arm. The first is a bracelet very similar to the one from Fornash, but I got it from a discount site called Tack of the Day. They email me special horsey deals every day at noon. Of course I had to get the bracelet... in two colors. This one happens to match my trusty watch perfectly, doesn't it?! The middle one is from Zulilly and I have no idea what the brand is. But it reminds me of the Hermes bangles that are insanely expensive. (I'm talking over $500 for gold colored metal and enamel. No thanks.)
Right:
The first two here are from my own craft studio. (That's the fancy name I call my lap.) I love that I just happened to have made a bracelet that matched my necklace PERFECTLY! I think that's what drew me to the necklace in the first place, I already had a bracelet to go with it! The last one is also from Little Black Bag. I forget the brand, but I have it in green too. (Does anyone else sense a pattern here?) What I love about this is that it's actual heavy metal chain, not plastic. So it's sturdy and I'm not worried about breaking it.
Purse: Pour La Victoire
Apparently today is wear everything Little Black Bag day. (I so miss that shopping experience... SO MUCH!) I got this bag there, they were selling them for around $40.00. Not bad for genuine leather! I haven't seen them retail under $70 ever, and that's with being on sale. Did I buy it in two colors you ask? Umm... no? (Yeah I totally did. I have an amazing metallic green one. You can see it here. Maybe I have a problem... maybe.)
So that's it! Definitely black and blue kind of day, but in a good way! What are you wearing today?
