Thursday's Threads

Outfit Day!!!! It's a short one since I haven't gotten to ride yet... (MAYBE this weekend if someone isn't a lumpy mess still.) It's unseasonably warm here today, with an expected high of near 60. I was feeling springy, but didn't want to jump the gun. So here's what I put together:
Pretty calm with a hint of spring! Just like today's weather... Literally, because despite the warm temperature it's kind of gray and gloomy out there. Let's look closer!

Top: NYDJ

This is one of those sweaters with parts of a fake shirt attached to it. I was always kind of against those hybrids, but for some reason, I really liked this one. It didn't hurt that it was on final clearance at Nordstrom Rack. I like that it doesn't have a full fake collar, but just rims the sweater collar. And the colors are some of my favorites.
Jeans: Twentyone Black
These are Forever 21's premium brand of denim. I'm a big fan. They're stretchy, really comfy, and fit me really well.

Booties: Joe's Jeans
These were a find and a half! They were at the Marshall's in Florida on final clearance for super cheap. I forget how much exactly, but it was as if I stole them. I felt like they kept my outfit firmly in the it's-still-actually-winter-mode, yet still work with the top.

Arm party!
Lefty:
Lefty is sporting a gunmetal bangle with a pretty purple stone from Express and my trusty apple watch.

Righty:
Righty is all hand crafted today! The first is a cuff bracelet I made. You may recognize the insert in there... It's the same material I made my spur straps from! The other two are stretch bracelets made from acrylic and brass beads. I love the iridescent colors and they really match the fake shirt colors well!

That's what I'm wearing today! What do you have on?

Thursday's Threads

Outfit DAY!!!! A little late, but hey, I'm still wearing it... Yesterday was a balmy 50 degrees, but today temps have dropped down to the 30's. Which apparently is seasonal, but I can still hate it, right? I dressed the part today. I call this look 80's ski bunny.
Totally has an 80's skier vibe, no? I think it's the neon that does it. Anyway, let's look closer!

Sweater: Ralph Lauren
Sorry about the sun spot there, I didn't notice it until it was too late. Before my trip, I stopped at the Ralph Lauren outlet near home to exchange a sweater I was gifted that was too small. While I was there for that, I went hunting for this sweater to see if it was on sale yet. It was! So obviously, it came home withe me. It has everything I need. A nice boxy fit to hide my rapidly expanding spare tire, NEON!, and warmth. Total win for me here.

Jeans: Rue 21
I've had these a long while. Truth is, they don't really fit. But I was running late, so I stuffed myself inside. I'm fairly confident my spare tire is relocating around my rib cage as we speak. Ugh.

Belt: C4
Remember I said I had avoided the whole C4 craze until it turned out that I didn't? Yeah. Case in point. Exhibit C I think we're up to. Whatever, I now love them and don't have any idea why I resisted. My bad.

Socks: ?
I don't usually show you my socks, but these are so cute, I had to share. I won them in the benefit auction for the New England Pug rescue. They go pretty well with today's outfit!

Shoes: Laundry
These are loafer type shoes. They're super comfy, and I love the little bit of neon on the rim. I think that keeps them fairly tame.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
I wore these little coil bracelets I got awhile back to go with today's sweater. They pick up the bright colors perfectly!

Righty:
Righty is donning these hilarious friendship type bracelets from Forever21. The neon caught my eye in the store, and then when I read them, I knew they had to come home. Here's what they say:
Tacos
Burritos
Forever Hangry
These bracelets really get me.

And that's what I'm wearing today. I don't have a riding outfit because despite the warm weather yesterday, the footing was not conducive to riding. I think those days are over until Spring here in the great north. Maybe if we get a nice weekend day I'll hop on the Jamposaur. We'll have to wait and see.
What are you wearing today? How's the weather? Any favorites from today's outfit?

Thursday's Threads!

I think even blogger is rebelling against me! It's telling me there are no photos on this blog. Sigh. But hey, at least it's Thursday! Outfit day! Here's what I'm wearing today:
Houndstooth!!! I love these crazy pants, and was super excited when I found a great top to go with them!

Top: First Look
This has just enough houndstooth to be fun, but not so much that it makes the outfit too much houndstooth. At least, I don't feel that way... It's a cute tunic, though not very warm. I have a cami and a long sleeve t-shirt underneath to keep me from freezing to death in my cold office.

Pants: Forever 21
It's impossible to tell in photos, but these pants are corduroy. I LOVE them, but don't wear them all that often since they certainly are a statement. And they make my bum look enormous. I'm ok with that though, since these pants are awesome.

Boots: Tory Burch
Are you guys tired of these yet? Cause I'm not. So glad I added these to the collection!

Arm party:
Lefty:
Lefty is sporting my Rebecca Minkoff leather bangle from my sister-in-law (I love this one!) and my newish Hermes Apple watch. I may have to don the Rolex soon though... I miss him!

Righty:
Righty is wearing a new stack that I found on Zulily from a brand named Kim and Zozi. There are three from that brand and then the last one is Tory Burch. I love them all together, though they stand alone nicely too!

What are you wearing today? Have a favorite from today? Let's chat in the comments!

Thursday's Threads

Outfit day! It's pretty cold again today, with snow flurries this morning. I can't complain too much since it IS January. But I'm still very much looking forward to spring time. I decided to brighten things up today with a crazy pair of boots I got from the Zulilly shoe blowout earlier this month.
No outfit is complete without a side of Pug.
I know the pink don't seem to match in this photo, but in real life the laces on my boots and my pants are almost exact. It's not easy finding an outfit to go with these ridiculous boots! We'll start from the bottom and work up today.

Boots: Mi.iM
These are faux suede and lined with faux sherpa fleece. In other words, they are crazy warm! Perfect for my freezing cold office! I love the neon pink, which I realize is not for everyone. But it's definitely for me.

Pants: Vintage Savanna
I'm pretty sure you've seen these before. I've had them awhile. They are a bright pink jegging type pant. Very comfy!

Sweater: Michael Kors
I picked this up last year and am so glad I did! I think the diagonally set side-zippers give some an edge to an otherwise classic cable knit sweater. The hemline is interesting too, though I wish it was a touch longer. It may have been before I washed it though....

Scarf: No brand
The outfit doesn't need a scarf. But I definitely do! My office is freezing and it's pretty cold outside too. So scarf it must be!

Arm Party
Lefty:
I dug out some old bracelets I made to pair with this outfit. I was excited to have a pink and black outfit to wear these with after all this time! The first is a rhinestone center friendship bracelet, and the second is a single wrap. I used gold and silver beads so it would go with everything. And last is my apple watch.

Righty:
Righty is all store bought today. First up is a stretch bracelet that I believe is from Forever 21. Next up is my Chan Luu leather and chain wrap, followed by a bangle from Express.

That's what I'm wearing today! What do you have on? Is winter finally showing its face where you are?

Thursday's Threads

Outfit day!!! It's a dreary, drizzly, rainy day here in Connecticut, but hey, at least it's rain and not snow! And you know my theory on days without sunshine right? Exactly. You have to bring your own! So obviously, today I'm wearing neon. But just a little.

It's tough to see in this photo because I went somewhat subtle with my neon this time. But fear not, there's plenty of crazy neon in the closet for when the snow starts to fly.

Sweater: Love Stitch
I love the little pops of neon in this sweater. It's classy, yet crazy. Much like myself. I picked this one up from Moxie.Style when they had their Super Sunday sale after Thanksgiving.

Jeans: Vigold
These are OLD, but so comfy. Definitely a favorite. I'm super behind with my laundry situation so some of the oldies are getting pulled back out. I should certainly wear these more.

Belt Buckle: Mane Jane
Belt: No brand
You're going to see more of this Mane Jane buckle below when I get to my riding outfit. Mane Jane is a small business specializing in fun spur straps for the horsey set, and they have recently added these buckles and a line of belts to their inventory. I'm hoping they'll make a teeny tiny bracelet version of this... I'll have to suggest that! For today's outfit, I thought this blue belt would go nicely, but I'm currently obsessed with this stirrup buckle, so I swapped the usual "H" for this one. Loving the look!

Shoes: Gotta Flurt
Since it's rainy, I decided to just wear some comfy sneakers today. I love the pops of neon on these, and thought they complimented the sweater fairly well. Not perfectly, but good enough!

The arm candy game is somewhat out of control today... But so much fun!
Lefty:
I mentioned last week about Ettika's crazy 90% off sale... This amazing piece of neon fantasticness was another purchase from that sale. I couldn't help myself. I may have ordered three times. Maybe... I also won a $10 gift card, so I may just have to order again... I have no self control. But this bracelet is so full of awesome. I imagine this won't be the last you see of it. It dwarfs my trusty timepiece though!

Righty:
Righty went all out today with the neon. ALL OUT! First up is a rubber bracelet with an emoji on it. It came with a similarly colored rubber wristlet that I should have used today! I was way too late this morning to swap out my purse though. Which is really sad, because I have some fantastic neon accessories that would have been great today. Next time! The next two bracelets as well as the very last one are all from Baublebar. The round one there, number 4, is from Michael Kors, and next to it is a string bracelet from Pura Vida.
That's my work outfit today! A little crazy, but not completely. Perfect for a rainy day. Next up? Riding outfit!
Pony shirt and plaid. Perfect.

Top: Forever 21
Can you believe they had this amazing pony sweatshirt at Forever 21? I can't either. But I'm really glad they did.

Breeches: Custom Riding Apparel
You'll remember these from my trip to the Equine Affair. I love them so much. They're really stretchy and so comfortable! They even have a euro seat. So trendy. And how about that plaid?!

Belt: Mane Jane
This is the Mane Jane buckle on the actual Mane Jane belt. The belt is white with both gold and silver over tones. It's amazing. Soft like butter, and so gorgeous. AND it's REVERSIBLE! The other side which I didn't think to snap a photo of is a plum color with a similar texture as this side. They have a bunch of fun color combos, you should definitely check out their site!

Well that's what I'm wearing today. What do you have on? Any favorites from today? Let's chat in the comments!

Thursdays Threads

Outfit day is practically over, but I wouldn't leave you hanging till next week! I have to tell you, I had the HARDEST time dressing myself this morning. I have some new fall clothes I'm dying to show off, but it's 86 degrees out. I will say though, I much rather it be 86 and my fall clothes stay in their packages for a little while longer! Here's what I came up with:

Not bad right? Not too summery, but I'm not sweating either. Perfect!

Top: Max and Mia
This is a faux wrap t-shirt. Very simple, but cute at the same time. I found it on mega sale at TJ Maxx last winter when I was in Florida. I appreciate that little button at the top keeping everything together!

Pants: Beulah
It's a little tough to see the detailing on these, but they have some faux leather up around the waist line, zippers on the bottoms, and some added stitching around the knees. They're super bad ass. I bought these off the Moxie.Style trading board on Facebook. They're releasing new colors on the website this Sunday though, and I'm pretty sure I will accidentally buy a few more pairs...

Shoes: Steve Madden
If you're gonna wear some edgy bad ass pants, clearly you should wear some shiny flats with spikes on the heels. Right? Duh. I should try riding Ducky in these...

Arm Party!
Lefty:
All repeats! But some of my favorites. First is the Rebecca Minkoff my sister-in-law gave me, next is my Keep Collective, and last is my trusty Rolex. Good looking stack if you ask me... but I might be partial.

Righty:
You've probably seen all of these at one point or another too... First up is the Ettika chevron bracelet (though I think they look more like hearts), next is one from Little Black Bag (seriously, I still miss them!), and last is from Forever21.

Considering I had three other long sleeved options all picked out, I think I did ok on short notice.

Riding outfit!
I didn't forget! Yeah actually, I totally did... But I remembered before posting!
Top: Express (OLD!)
Black polos never go out of style! I like these especially because they're pretty long and stay tucked in.

Breeches: Horsewares

Yeah... I really needed to size up in these. Hello butt! I love the color and the orange stitching, and the butt pockets! But I definitely need to either drop these pesky ten  fifteen pounds or pass these on to someone a bit smaller than me.

 Belt: No brand
You just saw this one last week. Clearly it's a favorite! And may or may not be the reason I ordered these breeches...

What are you wearing today?
