Thursday's Threads

Outfit day! Man I never thought I'd say these words, but I miss wearing breeches! I have a cute and slightly nostalgic outfit today though.

Peep those dirt tinted boot cut jeans! I'm having such flashbacks to my college years. And foxes are cute in every generation.

Sweater: Modcloth
I have a bunch of fox things that are navy, but I was really excited to find a green fox sweater! I've had it a long time, but it was tucked away in my fox bin and I forgot all about it!

Belt: C4

Same story for the belt. I already had a navy but when I saw the green I jumped right on it. And I've had it many years at this point!

Jeans: Love Cult Denim
These aren't old. But I absolutely owned a nearly identical pair many moons ago. Those had a significantly lower rise however. (What were we thinking with those ultra low rise pans. Such a weird look.) These are probably my new favorite jeans at the moment. They are just a hair too long though, which is a little annoying, but the story of my life given I'm 5'2". I had to hike them up a little for the show photo. Ha!

Shoes: Hunter
These are a couple years old and are starting to show that. I wear them out to the barn (when there isn't snow to wade through) pretty much daily year round. I actually bought another pair and a green pair as backups for when these die because companies don't seem to make things more than one season anymore and I love them that much!

That's it for today! Thoughts? Opinions? Any themes you want to see while we wait to see horse outfits again?

Thursday's Threads

Outfit Day! It's a dreary one here today. Rain off and on all day. And highs in the 60's. Gross. I miss summer already. Anyway... I still have cute outfits to share! Let's start with my riding outfit. This was from Tuesday.
As evidenced by the header of this post, I believe teal and purple are meant to be together. And this outfit supports that theory.

Helmet: One K Glamour
I really like this gray/silver helmet. It's super fun with all the sparkle in the middle. Also... this helmet comes in black and rose gold now, and I kinda want it... (ok, I really want it.)

Shirt: Black Horse Clothing
This one is 100% Amanda's fault. I kind of wish I sized up though. The fabric is kind of clingy and from any other angle you see my rolls... Not so bad with these high waist breeches, but I wore the shirt to work with jeans, and I was like oh hello muffin top.

Belt: Mane Jane
I chose my darker gray strap and gunmetal buckle for this outfit. Keeping it somewhat neutral with the other pops of color.

Breeches: Just Toggs
These are a British brand. They are SUPER comfy! I'm not sure the most flattering necessarily... but comfort over flattery any day. Plus the purple is pretty fab.

Boots: Celeris UK
Spurs: Color Tack
I just love them. The Celeris boots take longer to break in than say, the DeNiro's because the leather is thicker. But I think they're going to last a long time. I'm still in the breaking in process, but honestly, it's not terrible. And LOOK HOW PRETTY THEY ARE!!!!!!!
The spurs I actually already had prior to ordering these boots, but I'm so pleased with how perfectly they match!

That's what I wore to ride the other day. The horses didn't dress up this time, sorry! But I have a fun work outfit to share too.

I went with an astronaut/space theme today. Space is dark, and the sky is dark today so it all makes sense together. Ha!

Jacket: Modcloth
Yeah. It's jacket weather. Gross.

Sweater: Modcloth
This sweater is perfect for this time of year. It has 3/4 sleeves which are stupid when it's actually cold out, but perfect for these 60 degree days.

Belt: C4
Got some creepy astronauts on my belt...

Jeans: Free People
I felt like lighter color jeans make this outfit less dark and depressing.

Shoes: Katy Perry
Not much cooler than hightops with planets on them. Trust me. They're awesome.

Accessories!
Purse: Bioworld
I'm a geek. What can I say?

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Ok, so I don't have enough bracelets for this theme to outfit two arms... so Lefty went with the old standby. My favorite D bit bracelet and my apple watch.

Righty:
Righty went all in though! There's an astronaut bangle first, then my fitbit has a celestial house this week. And the last one actually lights up. I had to charge it this morning so it would work... I know. I told you. I'm a geek. Pretty comfortable in my geekdom though!

So that's it for today! Any favorites? Are you a geek too? What are you wearing?

Thursday's Threads

Outfit Day! My riding outfit was kind of uninspired last night. But it matches! So there's that. It was a rainy day so I headed over to the boarding barn and rode Eros indoors after feeding the kids at home. Here's what I wore!

I tried taking a photo in the chair, but I looked like a potato. So I went with standing next to it.

Helmet: One K Defender
What is this face?
I keep this helmet at the boarding barn. It's the plainest of plain. But I do really like how the One K helmets fit me, and this one is no exception.

Shirt: Ariat
I think this one was a gift from my stepmom. I really like the Ariat tech tops, but I have started buying them a size up from this one. It's not horribly tight, but I like a looser fit.

Belt: Mane Jane
I love this champagne colored strap. It goes with so much!

Breeches: Umm...
Sorry guys, I can't remember what brand these are. One of the European brands, so I think either Harry's Horse or HKM maybe? I love the splashes of color on the pocket, and how they did the same with the gel knee patches.

Boots: Regals
Rainy days result in Regal boot wearing. Sorry.

So that's what I rode in last night! Not super exciting. Kind of dark and dreary like the weather. But my work outfit is pretty cute. It's back to school themed, even though I don't go to school. Tis the season and all! My nieces start pre-K and 1st grade today!

Pencils! So many pencils.

Dress: Modcloth
How cute is this pencil dress?! I kind of feel like a teacher in it, but whatever.

Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell
I've had these awhile now. I have a cute sweater that also works with them.

Purse: Unknown
I think I found this on Ebay so I have no idea the brand. Works perfectly with the outfit though!

Phone case: Unknown
Also an Ebay find. I'm gonna be so sad when I have to get a new phone and will need all new cases. (Dear Apple, bring back the little phone please!)

Arm Party!!!
Lefty:
Lefty took control of the tech today, donning both the Fitbit and the Apple watch. I broke it up with one of my Hermes bracelets in orange to match some of the pencils on the dress.

Righty:
Righty is donning a little stretch bracelet I made with some cute pencil beads on it followed by another Hermes bracelet, and pancil cuff! You can't see from the photo, but the body of the pencil is navy to match the dress. It's adorable.

And that's it for today! What are you wearing? Any favorites from above?

Thursday's Threads: Shark Week edition

Made it to Thursday! Phew. What. A. Week. It's my fake Friday, and I'm really grateful for that! Got some interesting info at work this week, and, well. I don't like it. So that's a little stressful. But I am heading to WI this weekend with family for a memorial service (but like, the celebratory kind not so much the depressing kind) and I'm looking forward to getting away for a few days. But that's not why you're here today! You're here for outfits! And outfits I have.
I'm starting with today's work outfit since it's Shark Week themed (riding outfit was not, maybe something to work on for next year).
Yep, that's right, I didn't wear my usual dress. And maybe I got new shark shoes.... Though truthfully the old ones would have matched better. Whatever.

Top: Back On Track
I picked up a couple of these plain black tees from Back On Track during one of the sales. You all know I drank the BOT kool aid so obviously I love these shirts!

Skirt: Modcloth
I loved this shark skirt so much I broke my rule of only having the one shark outfit for shark week. But I mean it's Shark WEEK not shark day, so it's ok. Plus the skirt has pockets!

Shoes: Katy Perry
They have googly eyes and tails. What could be better?

Accessories!
Bag: Sleepyville Critters
It's epic. Just look at it!

Necklace: Kate Spade
I wasn't going to do it. But then it was on sale for $20 and I was like well... Totally worth it.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is donning this shark fin bracelet from Kate Spade. It's awesome. I assure you.

Righty:
Righty is wearing the rubber band with my Fitbit and these cute rope bracelets with shark clasps. They came from ebay for like 1.99 each. That's a bargain!

And that's it for Shark Week! I do have a riding outfit to share too, but kind of a boring one. It was from Tuesday.
I'm having a little trouble getting blogger and google photos to talk to each other, so sorry this is a crap photo.... I wish they would stop making changes that suck.

Helmet: One K
I went with the navy snakeskin for Tuesday's ride.

Top: Zulily
Friends is one of my most favorite shows, and so I had to have this Central Perk tee when I saw it on Zulily. Try to ignore that it's all wet. I took photos after washing Pammon.

Belt: Mane Jane
I was mixing my exotic skins again... Navy crocodile strap today!

Breeches: Ariat
These are one of my favorite pairs. I wish they were cheaper, I'd get more color ways.

Boots: DeNiro
It's hard to tell from this shot, the sun was in a weird place, but these are my navy De Niro's. I really love these boots. They're just so comfortable!

And that's it for today! Any favorites?
