Happy Chanukah Outfit Day!!! I decided that I would wear ugly Chanukah sweaters to work every day this week, and so far, either no one has noticed, or they just haven't said anything... I saved my new favorite one for today though, so I could share with all of you! But fear not, yesterday's sweater I rode in as well, so you can see that one too. We'll start with today and work backwards.
It has TINSEL on it! I know. It's definitely something.
Top: Tipsy Elves
I don't know how they come up with this stuff! I will say, I hope Tipsy Elves has some new styles next year for Chanukah. I own all the current styles that I liked, and there are far less options than for Christmas. So I'm hoping for some new hilarity next year. Though this certainly does not disappoint!
Belt: C4
I only have one Chanukah belt, so you'll see this again shortly... Maybe C4 could do a new one next year too...
Jeans: Hudson
Love these! I wish they were a tad longer. The ankle length isn't ideal once it's sock weather. But they'll be great with tall boots too.
Socks: not sure where I got these
Menorah socks are always a good idea for Chanukah time!
Shoes: Blowfish
Can you believe I don't have Chanukah shoes?! I know. I couldn't quite believe it either. Apparently, there's not a large market for them. Come on designers! We need some Chanukah shoes!
Arm Party:
Lefty:
Lefty is wearing this dainty leather bracelet with a star of David charm along with my trusty apple watch.
Righty:
Righty is donning a beaded snowflake bracelet from Pura Vida, along with this adorable stack from Alex and Ani that my mom gave me last year. So festive!
Bag: Betsey Johnson
I mean... no Chanukah outfit is complete without a dreidel purse. Right? Check out the gold gelt for the zipper pull! So cute!
That's what I have on at work today, but Eros and I both have riding outfits to share! I'll go first.
It's blurry to show you how effing cold it was last night. I think that comes through...
Sweater: Tipsy Elves
Jacket and Vest: Eddie Bauer
My dad actually ordered a jacket and vest for my step mom and for me with the barn logo on them, but they aren't here yet. They would have matched better being Navy. But these are warm, so I don't care if they go or not!
Belt: C4 (again)
It's adorable. I don't really need a second one.
Breeches: Ovation
These are the "curvy" cut Ovation breeches. I really love them, as they are made for girls like me with THIGHS. But they weren't really warm enough last night.
Boots: Tuffrider Regal
I know, I know. Boring. But they have plenty of room for extra socks.
That's what I rode in, so now it's time for what Eros wore... I didn't get a full horse shot, so we'll just do the individuals. (Also, the trainer over there hates color and thought he looked ridiculous. She's boring.)
Saddle: Hermes
Pad: Hopeful Equestrian
half pad: I can't remember this brand, so sorry!
Girth: Jack's
Part of me wishes I had done the Chanukah set in blue, but I do love this purple. Maybe next year we'll do a blue set.
Polos: Hopeful Equestrian
For some reason, the velcro never hits quite in the right spot. But they're adorable all the same.
Bridle: Spare parts... mostly Royal Sports
Browband: Southern Sweet PGH
I snagged this browband on Etsy for a STEAL! ($35!) and though it does work for Chanukah colors, it's also similar to the barns colors, so he'll wear it for schooling year round.
And that's it for our Chanukah edition of Thursday's Threads. Any favorites from today? Do you embarrass your horse with theme outfits? If not, you should. They don't usually buck you off in retaliation... only sometimes.

Thursday's Threads
Outfit DAY! It's back to winter here again... Might even snow later. Sheesh, mother nature is losing it I think. But, since it was 62 degrees when I got home from work yesterday, I obviously HAD to ride my horse last night! So you know what that means... Riding outfit today!
I really can't wait until it's light out in the evening so my photos don't look like this...
Helmet: Charles Owen AYR8
Greenie! Love this helmet so much.
Top: Eddie Bauer
There's an Eddie Bauer right next to the store where I get dog food, so I popped in there a couple weekends ago when I was passing by. They had 50% off clearance, so figured I should see what winter apparel was cheap. I found this adorable button down and couldn't leave it there. I like how it has two different plaids. I have a pair of boots (not riding boots!) that match the front perfectly. And we all know Jampy has a matching saddle pad to the backside.
Yep, he wore it last night! Not the polos though, because mud.
Belt: C4
Not surprised are you? Love me some C4. Anytime I think, hey I could use a belt to go with (insert theme here), C4 always seems to have me covered.
Breeches: George Morris Collection
These breeches fall around a 6/7 on the like scale. LOVE the colors since they're my farm colors. Like the details. But the fit is kind of meh. Like everything from this brand, the don't stay up and I get the saggy crotch. But they're green and have crowns all over them so that's definitely something.
Boots: TuffRider Regal
Spurs: Evo Equine
Spur Straps: Stacie Originals
I know you're tired of these. But it's muddy out. No new boots in the mud! PLUS I haven't ridden, so I'm not putting on new boots to go die. Nope. Sticking with these grippy knock arounds, thankyouverymuch.
So that's what I rode in last night! And now on to today's work outfit.
My mom and I have tickets to the local (ish) theater tonight and I wanted to wear something nice. But then I saw the weather report and decided to compromise. This is "nice enough" I think. Plus if it's icing and snowing out, I'm not driving 45 minutes into Hartford. Sorry mom. We'll get dinner instead locally.
Sweater: Olive and Oak
I had planned to wear this sweater with some black pants and my burgundy boots. But the black pants were not very heavy, and it's cold out so I switched it up a bit. I love the wine colored details on this sweater. Makes a kind of plain top a little more fun.
Belt: Mane Jane
This one's getting worn a lot lately! I never thought I'd wear so much red... I'm really not a red person, but I guess I'm becoming one?
Jeans: Lucky Brand
These aren't quite a perfect match with the sweater, but they're pretty close. They have frayed bottoms which I love for warmer days with cute little sneakers or sandals. You know, when you can be sockless. Frayed hems are ADORABLE sockless. I can't wait for those days...
Boots: Lucky Brand
You've seen these a ton this year I know. Truth is, I never switched my shoes out for winter, so I have only a few pairs of boots downstairs. I'm generally rushing in the morning because sometimes I'm bad at adulting. This results in me only wearing what's down stairs. Maybe something different next week? Time will tell...
Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is donning this mildly creepy looking horse bracelet from Betsey Johnson. It's creepy, but I still like it.... Not sure what that says about me.
Righty:
Righty is wearing this stack of bracelets that I made. I really love this silk fabric. Wish I could find more to make a cuff to match!
That's what I'm wearing today! What do you have on? Any new riding stuff you want to mention? How's the weather where you are?

Thursday's Threads: Travel Edition
Outfit Day! I mentioned yesterday that I'm heading to Florida to visit Badger today, so I have just one outfit to share, and it has layers. Obviously. It's a beautiful day here, 60 and sunny! In December! It's almost hard to leave. Almost. Anyway, here's what I'm wearing today:
When traveling south in December it's important to wear layers so you don't get hypothermic en route to the airport and don't get heat stroke upon landing. Although the temperature difference today will only be about 10-15 degrees. I'm happy to be able to check my jacket instead of carrying it on. I'm sure I'll need it Monday when I get back, otherwise I'd just leave it home!
Sweater and Button Down: J Crew
I broke my rule of refusing to step foot in a retail outlet on Black Friday this year. My bestie wanted to make a couple stops while she was home so I agreed to join her. We went to J Crew where everything was 60% off and I bought presents for no one but myself. (Sorry, not sorry.) And these two tops were them. I love the fox sweater, and thought the plaid button down looked perfect with it.
Jeans: Rue21
You're seen these before. They definitely have become a favorite of mine. It's super exciting when a $9.99 pair of jeans earns favorite status.
Belt: Burberry
The plaids aren't exact on the belt and top, but I think they're similar enough to pull this off. Plus, you can't actually see the belt anyway.
Shoes: Vince Camuto
Well, this is rare... I wore these boots last week on Thursday's Threads too. I like to try and space wearings out usually, but they go perfectly with the sweater so couldn't be helped!
Arm Party!
Lefty:
I kept the arm party really simple today because I don't want to have to take 90 bracelets off to go through security. So apple watch is on his own today.
Righty:
Righty is sporting a slightly creepy fox bangle from Betsey Johnson. His pink gemstone eyes are definitely a bit creepy, but I still think he's cute.
And that's all I have for today! It poured buckets the last few days so I didn't have a riding outfit to share. Maybe next week!
Do you have a favorite piece from today's outfit? Do you like critters on your clothes, or think they're too kiddy? I love them obviously! What are you wearing today?

Thursday's Threads
Outfit Day! And SURPRISE! I ran away from home, so it's outfit day in Florida. You know what that means right? Riding outfit ALL DAY LONG! Here's what I wore to ride today:
Sorry for the awful lighting. I'm literally in a closet. Well, closet/office. You're seeing the office side obviously. Anyway, you'll see better when we look closer.
Top: K. Marie Equestrian
When I saw this t-shirt on Instagram, I died. Figuratively of course. For my non riding readers, probably 90% of all riding mistakes come from not asking our horses to go forward enough. Which very simply means fast enough, but really it's a lot more than that. But for the sake of an easy explanation, we'll just say that. To get your horse to move more forward, you ask by squeezing with your legs. So to summarize, 90% of riding mistakes come from not using enough leg. And that's why this t-shirt is hilarious. I also love the color. K. Marie Equestrian is an indy brand with REALLY cute horsey items. Definitely check them out here!
Breeches: Ariat
I'm pretty certain I've featured these breeches on here before. They're absolutely one of my favorites as the fit is spot on. Rare for me to find breeches that fit this well. I only wish they'd made them in more colors!
Belt: Mane Jane
I've shown all of you my gold Mane Jane belt that reverses to a purple color. Well.... I found a hole in my belt wardrobe and decided Mane Jane could definitely fill that hole for me. I was even able to pick which two colors I wanted. AND not only that, I was able to get the size customized! Mane Jane is awesome you guys. Definitely check them out here. Anyway, this one is navy patent crocodile pattern on this side. The other, which you'll just have to wait and see is a turquoise matte crocodile. This thing is amazing. I'm so in love with it! I also love that I was able to buy just the belt strap and save some money since I already had the buckle.
Socks: Betsey Johnson
Best socks ever. Trust me.
So that's what I'm wearing today! I thought about going for a run and sharing my running outfit with you, but it's 91 degrees out so that's not happening! And also, I'm not complaining about 91 degrees. I LOVE 91 degrees. Please don't make me go back to the frozen spring tundra!
