Happy New Year to my fellow Jews! I wish I could say I'm all fancied up and headed to synagogue to celebrate the holiday, but alas, I'm not terribly religious and am at work instead. I do have a brand new outfit to share with you though!
See those things on my feet? HEELS! Since I've been a terribly inconsistent runner, I can wear heels again! Woohoo! You'll see them better down below.
Sweater:
Ralph Lauren
Truth is, I bought this sweater because I needed something to go with the booties. But it's a really cute top also! I probably would have gotten it even if I wasn't trying to find something to match my foot wear. AND it was on clearance. WIN!
Jeans:
Seven
The brown and tan stitching on these is perfect for my tortoise themed outfit. Obviously I needed them even if the last thing I could possibly need is more jeans.
Belt:
Brighton
I love this belt from Brighton. I love even more that I got it on ebay for around $11 including shipping. Supposedly it was used, but there's barely even a mark where it's buckles. I'm thinking MAYBE it was tried on once. The picture here isn't doing it much justice though. The brown sections are plastic and a tortoise shell color. The links and the buckle are silver toned, and the leather portion is a black patent. SO CUTE!
Booties:
Pour La Victoire
I know. They're amazing. Patent leather tortoise. You should probably get a pair too. Order a half size up (I'm so glad they were out of the 6's as the 6.5 is perfect). I found these on Amazon. No really, go get a pair.
Arm candy:
Left:
You've seen these all before so I won't drag it out... Horseshoe bracelet from House of Harlow, my trusty watch, and a stretchy bit bracelet from BaubleBar.
Right:
I went a little crazy and mixed my metals today on the right side. First is a leather buckle bracelet from Fornash with a gold tone bit. Next is a stretch bracelet I got at a local tack shop. The little charms are all horsey themed (helmet, bit, boot, horse, horseshoe, and stirrup). I love the braided leather detail too. So cute!
I was planning to use my super amazing tortoise shell purse from Michael Kors, but I was running late this morning and didn't have time to switch things over. I'll just have to wear tortoise another Thursday so I can show it to you all!
What are you wearing today? Did you order a pair of the booties yet? No? Well go! Get them!

Truthful Tuesday
I have such a conflict occurring... On the one hand I HATE winter. I hate everything about it: the short days, the cold, the SNOW and ICE! Ugh. I don't even like thinking about it. Which leads me to resent Autumn. It only brings one thing after all. But here's where the conflict comes in... I love boots. And pumpkin flavored everything. Does that make me a hypocrite? Does anyone else feel this conflict in their lives?? Seriously. Do I hide my love for boots and pumpkin, or own it despite hating everything they stand for? #firstworldproblems
I shall leave you with a pictorial description of my problem:

Thursday's Threads
Thursday's Threads day already! I have some new stuff to show you today from my "running errands" this weekend... And by that I mean the ridiculous amount of money I spent at J.Crew when I went shopping for a birthday present for my sister-in-law and bought myself presents instead.
BUT FIRST... let me take a selfie:
Ha! See what I did there?! My outfit is conflicted today: casual pony sweatshirt on the top and slightly dressy pony shoes on the bottom... But they match! So whatever. Let's look closer!
Top: JCrew
PONY SWEATSHIRT! I have this weird need to buy all the pony clothes when they are at stores that aren't generally pony biased. So obviously I needed to buy this. Plus it was on sale. It's comfy and cute and I love it.
Pants: Earl Jeans
These have been featured before. I gave the black jeans the summer off, and they're just working back into the rotation for fall/winter. I was worried they might be snug, but they're perfect! Yay for not getting any chubbier!
Shoes: JCrew
The lighting is funny here, but they're a nice charcoal gray wool with black ponies. SO CUTE! How does one NOT buy gray pony shoes? Seriously, tell me how. (Side note, I would not have bought them if they were not 40% off. The original price was over $100. That my friends is when you don't buy pony shoes. On a similar note, I want THESE really badly, but they are way tooooo much money.)
Accessories!
Lefty:
Your eyes are not deceiving you, I promise! I actually wore my silver watch today! Whoa! It's by A-Line and I've had it for a couple years now. The bracelet next to it is an Hermes inspired bangle from Ebay.
Righty:
Righty has a giant version of the same bracelet lefty is wearing. Momma and baby bangles! Heehee... The other one is a leather and stone bracelet I got from Zulilly.
Purse:
GUCCI!!!! I want all of the Gucci. ALL OF IT! But we all know I'm super frugal. I got these on Ebay. The wallet is pretty well loved, but the purse looks like it was used maybe twice ever. GREAT FINDS!
So that's it for today. What are you wearing?

Bags for a Cause
Last week a friend of mine sent me a text and said her Aunt was making bags to earn some extra money. Asked if I was interested or if I knew anyone who was. Most of you know that I love bags. And shoes. And belts... Sorry, I got distracted. I decided I'd buy a couple, as I'm always wanting to help a small business, especially if they have a great product. I purchased the two bags you see above: the medium tote and the cosmetic bag.
What I didn't know, was that my friend's Aunt is making these bags to help raise money for her husband who is battling lymphoma. All proceeds from the bags go toward their living and medical expenses. Once I learned this, I decided to post here on the blog. I figure maybe one or some of you could use some bags too! Who doesn't want to help out a family in need?
The bags are really well made. The fabric is a parachute material, so it's very durable and is water proof! The cosmetic bag has a velcro closure. The tote is open on top, and has both an interior and an exterior pocket. Also available are duffle bags which are adorable! I may get one in the future. Below are photos of the two I got, as well as some photos my friend sent me of the others available.
If you're interested in any of the bags or have questions about them, please contact Ashley at starfish85@sbcglobal.net.
Truthful Tuesday
Happy Tuesday! I have an anecdote and a lazy dote to share with you today!
First, remember last Thursday when I actually got up early and went running before work? Well, I might have gotten up and gone running, but I'm pretty sure my brain was still asleep. When I got back from the run, I took a shower and proceeded to get ready for the work day. Apparently I'm so very stuck in my routine that I put my contacts in. Problem being, I had already done that before I went running. Contacts over contacts! Took me several minutes to figure out why things were so blurry.
And now for my lazy dote. See those empty shoes above? Yeah. Those are my poor sneakers that were promised a run this morning. I woke up at 6, saw that it was dark, and decided it was raining and I should go back to sleep. Just to be clear, it WAS NOT RAINING! #lazy
So that's it for today... Any good stories you want to share?

Monday! again.
Hey everyone! It's Monday again... Back to the grind. I had a lovely weekend at the farm, and figured I'd bore you with the details!
Saturday morning I brought the short kids (P and Artie) to the vet for their annual check up and some shots. They were hilarious going at the same time! Such cuties.
Oh but Artie pooped on the floor. Oops.
After that excitement, the Pugs were pooped (not literally since Artie already did that). So it was time to play with ponies. Jampy had a great school over fences and Rio went for a 1/2 mile walk. They both got to graze for awhile too.
The rest of my day was spent running errands and doing a little shopping.
Sunday was a day off for the ponies, but I had to finish errands and de-clutter the house. (It's amazing how messy I can be during the week!)
During the above mentioned errands, I stopped at the dollar store. I couldn't resist some new Halloween jump decorations:
The pugs and I did find some time to hang out in the yard for awhile, and we had a ton of fun taking pictures! (Warning: I'm about to inundate you with adorable Pug photos. If you're not up for the cuteness, just scroll waaaaaayyyy down!)
I know. It's almost too much cuteness to even handle. I need to print some of these for the office.
After Puggy Playtime, I headed out for a 3 mile run. Hills! SO MANY HILLS. Also I changed my mind about my route... twice. And wound up running 3.5. Once again, I went out without my Garmin. Slow and steady is the name of my running game for now! It really is liberating not worrying about pace and time. Maybe I'll start bringing my watch, but hide it where I can't see it. The run was actually decent, despite the hills and added length. I let myself go as slow as I needed as long as I kept running. I'm happy to report, I'm not even sore today! Perhaps it's time to start pushing the pace just a little. We'll see how this week goes!
How was your weekend? Did you get time to hang out with the four-leggeds? Do any running? Shopping?
