Thursday's Threads: Pineapple edition

Happy outfit day everyone! It's a perfect summer day here. Highs in the low 80's and it's not even that humid out, only 50%! I still dressed like I'm on a beach vacation though. #employeeoftheyear

I really don't know what I would do if I had to dress like an actual grown up on the regular. Let's hope I don't get fired any time soon.

Top: H&M

I saw this cute t-shirt in the window at H&M last year, and had to grab one. It's just so shiny and cute!

Belt: C4

Obviously I had to wear the pineapple C4 belt! I have the matching boot socks, but alas, no need for them today. (But I am riding a new horse on Saturday!!! Woooohooo!)

Jeans: Seven

These are probably more like a jegging/jean hybrid. They're fairly heavy like jeans, but so soft and stretchy! Definitely on the favorite list.

Shoes: Lilly Pulitzer for Target

I tried to include as little of my toes as possible. Ew. Still need that pedicure I've been talking about since winter... Anyway, do you guys remember the insanity that was the Lilly Pulitzer/Target collaboration? That was ridiculous. I got to Target the day of the release 10 minutes after they opened and everything was gone. Literally everything. They had even started taking down the displays. I wound up buying these flip flops from some stranger on Instagram. Worth it though, they're so cute!

Lefty:

Lefty is wearing this super dainty pineapple bracelet that I found on ebay along with my apple watch.

Righty:

Righty is donning this green leather wrap bracelet that I made along with a gold Juicy Couture bracelet. I was lacking in the pineapple themed bracelets, but I thought a crown reminded me of the top of a pineapple... kind of? Ok that's a stretch. Fear not though, I DO have a pineapple bracelet coming soon!

Sadly, that's it for today. I'm hoping to have a riding outfit for you guys next week though since I'm riding Saturday. Have any favorites from today?

Thursday's Threads

Happy Thursday all! I heard on the news this morning that it's Friday eve. I like the way the traffic lady thinks. It's actually a gorgeous day here in New England. The humidity has lifted and the sun is shining! I love summer. SO MUCH!
I mentioned yesterday about receiving my first Golden Tote. So today, I will give you a sneak peak at what I received since I'm wearing one of the pieces already.

Being at the horse show last week has left me in a preppy state of mind. Tucked in button down for the win! Also, on a side note, I need to switch out my shoes. My summer shoes are still tucked away and the boots are all still out. Thank goodness I never put away the Sperry collection, or I'd be wearing boots right now...

Top: La Reyna

This is one of the pieces I chose from Golden Tote and I am SO HAPPY with it! When I was looking through the gallery of items to choose from, this shirt was shown in white and I liked it but didn't love it. But when I opened the page for the shirt itself, I saw it was available in mint! AH! Then I LOVED it and had to have it. I am so glad I chose this! The colorful lines remind me a little of summers in the 80's, but totally in a good way. I decided to highlight the magenta stripe with my belt and shoes which you'll see closer in a bit.

Jeans: Seven

These are oldies that you've seen before. I love that they're dark and have a nice stitched detail, but are otherwise fairly nondescript. Makes them super functional in my wardrobe!

Belt: No Brand

Sorry that photo is blurry... it looked fine on my phone! This is one of my ebay finds, and I'm glad I went ahead and ordered it. Surprisingly, (or maybe not so much if you know me...) it goes with a lot of things in my closet!

Shoes: Sperry's (duh)

I found this pair at the end of last season and never even wore them! That little bit of shine you can see in the photo is actually gold speckling. I love the color on these!

Lefty is wearing a chain bracelet with mint colored enamel from BaubleBar. And you'll recognize my trusty watch.

Right:

Righty has on a delicate wrap bracelet from Stella and Dot and a stretch bracelet I found at Loehmann's a couple years ago. I really love the mint and gold combo (as if you couldn't tell, right?)!

I finally got my lethargic bum out of bed this morning and met up with Vanessa and Pepper for our run. Thus, I also have a running outfit to share!

Top: OutRun38

I've spoken about OutRun38 a bunch already so I won't bore you. But I love sporting my OutRun gear on my runs! Not to mention, they have really comfortable tanks.

Skirt: Fila

I randomly went to Kohl's a few weeks ago and saw this skirt there. The neon green and pink stitching matches lots of of my running tanks, so I figured I should get the skirt. (Clearly I NEEDED it, right? RIGHT?!)

Shoes: Mizuno

These are my short run sneakers. I really like them; they're very lightweight and comfortable. I have tried running long in them however, and that was a HUGE mistake! They do not offer enough support for real distance running. Perfect for the 5K distance though!

Happy Thursday Friends! Though my running buddies weren't able to make it, I did manage to get up and rum 3 miles. Slowly. On the treadmill. SOOOOoooooo.... that means you get a double dose of threads today!
First up, my ROOTD:

Top: Outrun38

Flashing my "L" for Liz this morning

I love this top. Not only because of what it stands for, but also because it's ridiculously comfortable and light weight. I need to stock up on some more Outrun gear soon!

Shorts: Pony

I've recently decided that the 2-in-1 shorts (or skirts) are my favorite. Having leggings under the shorts cuts down on the chub rub considerably! Not so much for longer runs, not much you can do there, except maybe drop some chub... but for the shorter runs, these are the way to go! Plus, how could I not have clothes by a brand called Pony?

Sneakers: Mizuno

I had found Mizuno's past season colors for really low prices awhile back, so I had gotten a second pair of the ones you're used to seeing, and also these. These are the Wave Hitogami. They are a little lighter weight than the Wave Sayonara that I normally wear. I've been throwing these on here and there to mix things up a little. I think my Sayonara's are getting close to running retirement, and I'd like them to get me through the half at the end of the month. So these are taking up some miles to help with that. I like them a lot! Yay for Mizuno!

And now, my work outfit:

I had a little trouble dragging myself out of bed in time for my run since I didn't have friends waiting for me outside. (Shocking I know.) Which meant I was super late getting myself ready for work. I knew I wanted to wear some of my birthday presents today. But I really should have unfolded the items prior to planning my outfit.... I thought my top was a polo shirt. Turns out, it's a tank top. But I didn't have time to find something else, so I'm wearing a jacket at work today. It's cool though, the jacket is adorable!

Here's everything up close!
Top: Ariat

My dad and stepmom gave me this top for my birthday along with the jacket. I love the colors, and I even love that it's sleeveless. I just wish I had figured that out sooner. I would have saved this for later in the season. Either way, the color is perfect, and it's fits great too!

Jacket: Ariat

I love the details on this jacket. The pink logo that matches the lining, the stirrup zipper pulls, the white stitching... It's all so cute! It's a great weight too, a shell with a very light lining. Also the sleeves have elastic on the inside to keep the draft out. Very well constructed! I think I could also use this for running on cool mornings, it's very breathable.

Pants: Seven Jeans

I wear these a lot. Comfy, only a little too long, nice dark color. Good pants!

Shoes:

I know! Best Sperry's ever, right?! I found these last year when I was in Saratoga on CLEARANCE! I think they were $35.00. I almost didn't try them on  because they're a half size smaller than I normally wear. But I decided to give them a shot. They're leather, so they could stretch... They fit PERFECTLY! Clearly, they came home with me. (Have I mentioned how much I love boat shoe season?)

Arm Candy:

 I kept it pretty simple today. (Mostly because I was running so late! It's a good thing my bracelets are stored sorted by color.) Anyway, the first bracelet is from the late great Little Black Bag. And you'll recognize my trusty watch.

Right:

The tiny pink rhinestone bracelet actually game from Julep. I believe it came in a pack of three in one of the mystery boxes. The blue rhinestone bracelet is from Express. It was also part of a multi-pack. And last is a Stacie Original leather bracelet. You can't see it, but the leather is a metallic blue, so it fits perfectly with today's color scheme.

Purse:

My mom got me this gorgeous Coach bag and matching wallet for my birthday! I couldn't wait to switch into it! I'm so glad my gifts all happen to match each other (does my family know me well or what?!). How spoiled am I to have such generous family members with incredible taste?

Thursday's Threads

That's it. If spring is going to take its sweet time showing up, maybe I need to give it a little fashion kick-in-the-pants. It's pseudo spring-like today: sunny with highs near 50. (31 degrees when I left the house however...) So here's what I picked to try and force the season:

Anchors! The outfit was going to be more springy with off-white pants. My dilemma was that the pants were ankle length, which would totally work with those shoes except for one thing: too cold to go sock-less. Socks and ankle length jeans looked ridiculous. So I settled on blue jeans.
Let's look closer!

Top: Rue 21

This baseball t-shirt is adorable with the anchor pattern all over. It's a bit chilly in my office, so I'm a little bit wishing it was a sweatshirt... but that's not the shirt's fault! Even better, this must have been a leftover from last year, as I got it in the clearance section for $3.

Pants: Seven Jeans

Oldies but goodies. You've seen these a bunch! I apologize for the blatant butt pic, I forgot to snap a photo before dressing myself.

Shoes: Sperry's (kids section)

I love these slip-ons! I found them online... I think from Rue La La? Maybe Zulilly? I can't remember. They were closing them out at the end of the season, so I was able to snag them for under $30. Good deal! I love the rope detail on the side and the anchors are made from SEQUINS! I like shiny.

Apparently my camera does not love shiny... Sorry for the terrible photo. I don't really need to mention the trusty watch at this point, do I? The bracelet is a lobster bangle for Fornash. Lobsters make me think of summer. Summer makes me happy. Thus, this bracelet makes me happy!

Right:

First up is a stretch bracelet I made with some lapis lazuli beads. Next is a bracelet I was able to score for free! It's from Ettika. They just celebrated they're birthday and offered up a free bracelet to the first 50 orders on their anniversary day. I bought a horseshoe bracelet I've had my eye on for awhile, and was surprised to get this perfectly adorable beaded number for free! (You didn't know what they would send, so it was a blind surprise. I definitely got a good one!) And last is another Fornash bracelet. This one is super preppy, and I love it!

I really didn't plan my outfit ahead of time today. I wish I had though. I have an adorable bucket bag that navy and off white, with rope handles, which definitely would have completed the outfit. Alas, it's still tucked in safe for the winter. Time to start switching things over!

Thursday's Threads

I have a half day at work today so I can meet with the squirrel man and the horses can get their spring vaccinations. Thus, I needed an outfit that was both work and barn appropriate. I went with my old stand by:

Jeans and a cable knit sweater. Kinda boring, but gets the job done and keeps me warm in the tundra.

Sweater: Tommy Hilfiger

This one is OLD. I think I've posted it before, but I can't quite remember. I have several cable knit sweaters! It's a nice chocolate brown colored washable cotton. Everyone should have one (or 11, whatever).

Pants: Seven

I've had these quite awhile too, and I'm pretty sure they've been on the blog before. Are Seven's even cool anymore? I'm not sure. I remember when they were super popular and cost like $200. These were maybe $20 at TJ Maxx, so I'm guessing they've lost their cool. I think they're cute though!

Boots: Ariat

These are actually riding boots.  But I really like them so I don't ride in them. Logical right?! If I wear them for riding, they'll end up bathing horses and hanging around in mud and poop and they'll die a quick painful death. If I save them to just wear around they'll live a long happy life. These are by Ariat, who makes the BEST boots. They are so comfy. They teamed up with 5A Baker to incorporate the famous brown plaid. (If you are a horse person, you KNOW Baker. If you're not, this plaid here... that's Baker Plaid. They started out just making horse blankets but have branched out into riding apparel as well.)

Belt: Equine Couture

Hey look! There it is again! I know you're shocked to see my belt matches my boots. 5A Baker has also teamed up with Equine Couture to showcase their plaid on belts, jackets, breeches (riding pants), and shirts. Obviously I had to have the belt. (And maybe a polo shirt and two pairs of breeches.)

Arms:
I kept it simple with bracelets today since playing with horses and jewelry don't really mesh well.
