Thursday's Threads

Happy Outfit day! It's a beautiful day and will get up to almost 80, so I'm not minding fall so far. I hope the nice weather sticks around. I'm not ready for 60 degrees or colder. Nope. Not ready. Anyway, I wore my new boots for this week's outfit, so let's start there!
I REALLY need to address the ear hair situation here... (Shiny's, not mine.) Anyway, this outfit was from Saturday.

Helmet: One K Defender Glamour
I figured this DEFINITELY worked with silver boots. I mean, what else do you pair with them?

Top: Ronner Design
You guys have seen this one before. I love that it's technical fabric. And love that the ponies are are sporting my barn colors.

Belt: Pony Locks
I've been thinking about Jampy a lot lately, so I wore his belt this weekend to keep him close.

Breeches: Piper by Smartpak
I really should take photos before I get filthy. But hey, just keepin' it real over here! You all know how I feel about Pipers. I want them to be better, but do enjoy the colors.

Boots: Imperial Riding

These aren't available in wide, but since they lace all the way up, I was able to make them work just fine! And while I realize they are completely ridiculous, I also don't care and love them completely! I mean... LOOK AT THEM! They're silver! And oddly enough, pretty comfy. I didn't take necessary new boot precautions though, and did wind up with some blisters. Oops. #worthit

So that's what I wore Saturday to ride. I hope short sleeve weather sticks around a bit longer! And here's what I wore to work today:
It's pretty warm outside, but it's not in the office. So long sleeves it is!

Top: Haley and the Hound
You've seen this top before I think. If not this one, then the same in another color. I picked up a bunch of these one year on the end of season clearance sale. They were under $10. I want to say like $4, but I'm not positive. They're beautiful tops!

Belt: Tory Burch
I snagged this at the Tory Burch outlet in Florida quite a few years ago. It's a fun neutral!

Pants: True Religion
I'm pretty sure you guys have seen these too. They're the best teal color, and I love the contrasting, bulky stitching.

Shoes: Durango
I know you've all seen these before too. Kind of a repeat sort of day I guess. I'm loving these boat shoes from Durango. It's like cowboy boots and Sperry had a baby.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is sporting a jelly wrap bracelet from Tory Burch. I snagged this one on Ebay for practically nothing.

Righty:
Righty is donning a second hand Hermes wrap bracelet I found on Poshmark and bargained hard for. The one in the middle is more designer inspired than the real thing... (Sorry.) And last is my fitbit in an off white bracelet.

So that's it for today! Any favorites? What are you wearing today? And ok, be honest, thoughts on the boots?

  1. Nice outfits! I love that you have a helmet that goes with those boots! Honestly, I wouldn't buy them but not because I don't like them. I can't wear tall boots, I'm on a huge spending freeze, I rarely get myself out of black and grey...etc. etc. Oh yeah and I don't ride English...etc etc.

I really love your dedication to your outfits - it always makes me smile to read your posts.

    1. They definitely aren't for everyone! haha!
Thank you! I have a lot of fun with my clothes.

  2. I LOVE that the boots are so shiny, but I am not a fan of the laces up the front. I've just never cared for that style.

    1. I kind of agree. But at the same time, these wouldn't have fit me if they didn't have them so I'm embracing it!

  3. I am LIVING for all the matchy-matchy elements of your riding outfits. Everything is so coordinated and perfect yet somehow you make it look effortless! I'm also not usually a fan of bracelets (love the look but find them uncomfortable), but that Tory Burch one looks like it'd actually be comfortable.
I've been eyeing those silver boots (or at least something similar) for a while now, but I'm worried they might be a little tall on me. Do you mind if I ask how tall your calves are? And did you find they dropped a lot?

    1. I can't speak for how much they'll drop as I've only worn them the one time so far. My height measurement is 17" give or take. My parlanti's are extra tall, but most "standard" height boots are pretty close for me. Sometimes a hair short. These are in line with most standard height boots. I think eventually they will be a little short on me. They're pretty soft though, so even if they are a bit tall for you, I think the back will bend over without being uncomfortable.
