Thursday's Threads

It's a dreary outfit day here today. Rainy with a high of 59. Brr. Yesterday, however, was 88 degrees. So try to make sense of that! Oh New England...
Last night's riding outfit included short sleeves and lots of bug spray with DEET.

And also tie-dye. Very bright tie-dye.

Helmet: HKM

I was really proud of myself for not spending $400 plus dollars on the rose gold One K that I have been drooling at for a bit now... But then I saw this $135 helmet and was like, welll..... So here we are. I think it's gorgeous. It won't stay gorgeous very long I'm sure as that quilted looking part is all glued on gems. It comes with extras but we all know I would never get around to replacing any that fall off. But for the price, no complaints there. It fits well enough. It's definitely a bit rounder than my more oval shaped head, but since my head is small, it fits safely. It has a dial so you can adjust it too.

Shirt: The Juice Bar
This tee is from my favorite ice cream place on Nantucket. They do smoothies too in case you're confused by it being called The Juice Bar.

Belt: LV
Snagged this one on Ebay years ago. May or may not be real. I did not pay real prices for it.

Breeches: SmarkPak Piper
I haven't worn these in quite awhile because they're a size smaller than what I usually wear. But my laundry situation has reached critical status so I grabbed these. Turns out, they stay up a lot better. So maybe I should be wearing this size? Who knows.

Boots: Tuffrider Regal
I know you're wondering why I didn't wear my boots that match the helmet... Well. I forgot socks. So I figured I should wear the boots that were next in line for retirement which is these. They match anyway. (Note the broken tab on the bottom...)

So that's what I wore to ride last night. Probably one of the last posts with short sleeves for the season. Waaahhhhhh!

And here's what I wore to work today:
Not super inspired and I realized when I was going to put on my bracelets this morning that it was kind of the same color scheme as last week. I made a bracelet change to mix things up a bit.

Top: Haley and the Hound
This top is the same brand as last week's but a slightly different neck style. This one has more of a scarf type neck, much more material involved. It comes up higher and is a lot warmer. Perfect for a cold rainy day!

Belt: Rebecca Ray

This one happens to match my gray Celeris boots perfectly! But also this top pretty well.

Pants: D. Jeans
Nothing too special about these. A nice dark wash. Super stretchy.

Shoes: Irregular Choice
I figured I should spice things up a little somewhere... These shoes did the trick! Unicorns are always appropriate.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is donning my sort of everyday go to stack. I've been wearing the middle one more to try and get it to darken. I'm not sure if it will as much as the others have, the leather seems a little different. Time will tell!

Righty:
Righty is wearing the alternate universe version of what lefty has on... A bit bracelet, the gold version of the Hermes saddle nail, and a fitbit instead of the apple watch. Alternate twinning?

So that's it for today. Any favorites? What are you wearing?

Thursday's Threads

Happy Outfit day! It's a beautiful day and will get up to almost 80, so I'm not minding fall so far. I hope the nice weather sticks around. I'm not ready for 60 degrees or colder. Nope. Not ready. Anyway, I wore my new boots for this week's outfit, so let's start there!
I REALLY need to address the ear hair situation here... (Shiny's, not mine.) Anyway, this outfit was from Saturday.

Helmet: One K Defender Glamour
I figured this DEFINITELY worked with silver boots. I mean, what else do you pair with them?

Top: Ronner Design
You guys have seen this one before. I love that it's technical fabric. And love that the ponies are are sporting my barn colors.

Belt: Pony Locks
I've been thinking about Jampy a lot lately, so I wore his belt this weekend to keep him close.

Breeches: Piper by Smartpak
I really should take photos before I get filthy. But hey, just keepin' it real over here! You all know how I feel about Pipers. I want them to be better, but do enjoy the colors.

Boots: Imperial Riding

These aren't available in wide, but since they lace all the way up, I was able to make them work just fine! And while I realize they are completely ridiculous, I also don't care and love them completely! I mean... LOOK AT THEM! They're silver! And oddly enough, pretty comfy. I didn't take necessary new boot precautions though, and did wind up with some blisters. Oops. #worthit

So that's what I wore Saturday to ride. I hope short sleeve weather sticks around a bit longer! And here's what I wore to work today:
It's pretty warm outside, but it's not in the office. So long sleeves it is!

Top: Haley and the Hound
You've seen this top before I think. If not this one, then the same in another color. I picked up a bunch of these one year on the end of season clearance sale. They were under $10. I want to say like $4, but I'm not positive. They're beautiful tops!

Belt: Tory Burch
I snagged this at the Tory Burch outlet in Florida quite a few years ago. It's a fun neutral!

Pants: True Religion
I'm pretty sure you guys have seen these too. They're the best teal color, and I love the contrasting, bulky stitching.

Shoes: Durango
I know you've all seen these before too. Kind of a repeat sort of day I guess. I'm loving these boat shoes from Durango. It's like cowboy boots and Sperry had a baby.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is sporting a jelly wrap bracelet from Tory Burch. I snagged this one on Ebay for practically nothing.

Righty:
Righty is donning a second hand Hermes wrap bracelet I found on Poshmark and bargained hard for. The one in the middle is more designer inspired than the real thing... (Sorry.) And last is my fitbit in an off white bracelet.

So that's it for today! Any favorites? What are you wearing today? And ok, be honest, thoughts on the boots?

Thursday's Threads!

Outfit DAY! Woohoo! I have a RIDICULOUS riding outfit for you today. I almost didn't share it, because I totally clashed with myself unintentionally. But then I decided you'd probably enjoy a good laugh, so hey, I've got very little pride anyway. Here it is:
It's not so bad from far away... but wait till you see the closeups. Those breeches are snakeskin printed! When I grabbed clothes for the barn, I thought I was grabbing plain brown breeches. Oops.

Helmet: Charles Owen
It's still my favorite. I like the blue sparkles... but this one! Love!

Shirt: Kerrits
I loved these sort of paisley horse prints when they came out. I kind of liked the blue better, but they only had my size in this color. But really, it's brown and tan horses on there... just like my herd!

Belt: Tory Burch
I picked this shiny number up at the outlet when I was in FL around the holidays. I had been eyeing it for awhile, and it was down to around $35.00. Can't pass that up!

Breeches: Romfh
See? Snakeskin. Snakeskin does NOT match with pony paisley. Nope. But these pants actually made me feel better about myself. So these and the ones I wore last week are the same breeches, same size. The gray ones from last week I wear a lot, but these not as much. These are like twice as big as the others! And they started out the same. So my theory that the dryer has been shrinking my clothes is obviously completely accurate. (Shut up. Let me have this.)

Boots: Tuffrider
I think I'm almost proficient enough to think about breaking in some of the new ones. But not quite just yet. I'm not sure how many more rides are left in these though.

Well there it was. My clashing riding outfit. Thankfully I was a bit more put together for work today:

How do you like that? Collared shirt! Like I'm an actual professional or something. Ha!

Shirt: Haley and the Hound
I went a little crazy during Haley and the Hounds warehouse sale last month. I LOVE their button downs (which sadly there are none on the site right now. I was hoping for fun new styles this season). These were 70% off! I only managed to find two in my size though. But I digress. You may not notice right away, but the print inside the cuffs and the collar is actually full cheek snaffles. LOVE! I wish the shirt was green checked to match, but the contrast is nice too.

Jeans: Mavi
These are somewhere in between jeans and jeggings. They have all real pockets, but they're super stretchy and comfy.

Shoes: Western Chief

These adorable little flats are actually rubber. Perfect for springtime showers! Or when you have to go in your horse's stall at lunch time because he somehow took his sheet off... (ask me how I know that.)

Arm Party!
Lefty:

Lefty is wearing a relatively new leather bracelet from Swanky Saddle. I'm not sure if it actually is or not, but it appears to be made from an actual rein. I thought the little rhinestone on the clasp was a nice touch too.

Righty:
Righty is also wearing a rein bracelet from Swanky Saddle, but this one is brass. The mantra bracelets I got from Olde Dog Designs on Etsy. She can even customize them if you ask. I believe Swanky Saddle is doing these now too, and they may be a touch thinner, but they're also more expensive and have less options.

And that's all I have for you today. What are you wearing? Any favorites from today?

Thursday's Threads!

Outfit Day!!!! I know it's late, my apologies... It was a busy day! Despite not riding again on Wednesday (I had to break my Yom Kippur fast with the family), I did remember to take pictures of my riding outfit on Tuesday. So let's start with that!
Such a classy amateur I was on Tuesday! And by that I mean too lazy to fully change out of work clothes... Let's look closer!

Sweater: Ariat
My dad and stepmom gave me this sweater for my birthday in April along with the shirt underneath. I love the yellow stitching on the elbows! I also love that this sweater is machine washable.

Top: Ariat
How cute is this pony print button down?! Yellow isn't the best color on me, so I haven't worn it without the sweater, but it's the cutest top ever. I wish it came in other colors... Ariat, if you're reading this, more colors please!

Breeches: Smartpak
I'm certain you've seen these before. They are denim breeches that I got on sale in the spring. I like them, but they do that saggy crotch thing I hate when I'm not riding. Thus, it's a like and not a love. They're very comfy to ride in though.

Belt: Mane Jane
I have so much love for Mane Jane. Currently they have a gorgeous pink belt for sale with proceeds going to breast cancer research. Head over there and get one!

Boots: TuffRider Regals
I've retired the sport boots as the zippers were no longer staying up. They're in otherwise good condition though, so maybe I'll just try replacing the zippers? Not sure. Regardless, the Regals are my current go-to everyday boots. So comfy!

Ok, now on to my work outfit for today:
I think I had ponies on my mind after not riding Wednesday.

Top: Haley and the Hound
I actually discovered this brand via Zulily, but then this summer I saw some of the mobile tack stores carrying it at Vermont. I love the horsey themed items they have, and I hope they come out with some more! I especially love that the buttons have dogs on them:
So cute!

Jeans: Rue21
I'm a sucker for inexpensive denim. These are surprisingly perfect in that they fit great and are even the right length for me! Shocking!

Boots: Steve Madden kids
These light blue boots are crazy cute! They're almost like pastel paddock boots. And yes, I have ridiculously small feet and can wear children's shoes.

Arm party!
Lefty:
I hope you all love the Gucci bit bracelet as much as I do cause it's gonna be on here a lot... Next to that one is a vintage bangle from ebay, and last but not least is my apple watch.

Righty:
Righty is sporting a Tory Burch wrap bracelet that I got in Florida last year along with a bit bangle from Fornash. They both matched the top so well!

That's what I wore today (and yesterday). What do you have on today? Have any favorites from today's features?
