Thursday's Threads

Happy Outfit Day! So yesterday, as I already whined, was full of annoyances. Due to that, I didn't get out of work until 5:30 which made me 30 minutes behind schedule for the evening. Boo. That left me a bit scattered and I totally forgot to take outfit photos. Fear not though, I remembered this morning and thus bring you a flat version of what I wore to ride last night!
I may have fished that stuff out of the laundry... excuse the wrinkles.

Top: Eddie Bauer
I couldn't get an accurate photo of the color, but I think you've all seen this one before. It's a nice heathered green.

Belt: Mane Jane
I went with the hunter green Mane Jane strap last night. The other side of this one is black and that's what I wore to work yesterday. So convenient to have two belts in one!

Breeches: Horseware
I've decided that my corduroy breeches are the warmest, so I've pretty much only been wearing them when it's cold out. Last night was ridiculously cold, and I went with the tan ones.

Boots: Tredstep
recycled photo...
Alright, these have won my cold little heart. Last night when I arrived at the barn, my truck said it was 17 degrees out. It was probably a bit warmer in the indoor, but not significantly. My toes never even felt cool, let alone cold. I LOVE these, and highly recommend if you want a boot for very cold winters.

So that's what I had on to ride. I wore my embroidered farm jacket over top and my black snakeskin one K helmet. Ok, now on to today's outfit!

It MIGHT get to 30 today for a high, so clearly, once again, the theme is WARM. But I'm also sick of winter, so I'm trying to push spring along with some more spring like colors.

Sweater: The Republic
It reads Eclectic which honestly describes me pretty well. It's a fancy word for weird after all! Hahaha! I love the colors though, pink and purple were my jam growing up.

Belt: Swanky Saddle
I actually think this belt strap is from someplace other than Swanky Saddle, but I couldn't tell you where it came from. It's 100 years old (give or take). But the buckle definitely came from SS and I love it so much! I don't wear it nearly enough.

Jeans: True Religion
Couple of things here... First, having a True Religion outlet so close by has been a real detriment to my wallet. Second, real talk here, these jeans are probably a size too small. But I got myself in! I HAD to wear the pretty pink stitching with my pink and purple sweater. HAD TO.

Shoes: Forever
These sneakers I think came from one of Zulily's huge sales, and are basically from a no name cheapo designer. BUT they are full on pink glitter and therefore pretty amazing. They're also super comfy, so who cares who made them? I think I paid like $8 for them. Well spent my friends.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is sporting a wrap bracelet and a cuff bracelet that I had made awhile back. Love the glitter! And the colors are PERFECT with the sweater.

Righty:
Righty is totally eclectic today! (See what I did there?) I've mixed my metals (rose and yellow gold) and my materials (string, metal, leather).
First up is a waxed cord friendship bracelet from Pura Vida with a dainty little rose gold rose. Next is a vintage bracelet I snagged on Poshmark. The wrap bracelet is made from coiled string. It came sold by the inch and I just added a clasp to make it a bracelet. The last one is a spikey bracelet from BaubleBar that I bought YEARS ago.

So that's it for today! Any favorites? Has spring started to show itself where you are yet?

Thursday's Threads: Shark Week Edition

Happy Outfit Day! I'll admit I'm kind of a fraud with this whole Shark Week theme. I haven't actually watched a second of it on TV. But I'm always in favor of a good theme, so let's just roll with that shall we?
If you've been around awhile, you may realize that this outfit is a repeat. But I do have a new accessory, so all is not lost.
Hee hee...

Dress: Peach Love
I seriously love this dress. I will wear it for every shark week until I can't fit into it anymore or it falls apart. So... expect repeats. That up there is still my horse necklace, but expect something more sharky next year.

Shoes: T.U.K.
It would be silly to wear a shark dress without shark shoes, don't you think? I nearly got a new pair of shark shoes this year, but decided these were way cuter. And how many pairs of shark shoes does one need? (This logic does not apply to lobster nor unicorn shoes however.)

Purse: Sleepyville Critters
I think the bloody hand fob really makes this purse... It's not attached to the purse itself, just is on a little key chain hanger. I think it's pretty hilarious. A little much maybe... but hilarious.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
I don't have any shark bracelets currently (stay tuned for next year though!) so I went with an ocean theme for the arm party. This one here is a cute wrap bracelet with an anchor clasp from Pura Vida.

Righty:
Righty is wearing this ADORABLE anchor bracelet from Nicole's Creations. She makes them all herself, and this one is definitely one of my favorites from her. It's perfect with the shark theme too.

Unfortunately, that's it for today. I really need to get back on a horse soon, partially for my own sanity, but also so I have a riding outfit to share! Speaking of riding outfits, my pink helmet and pink glitter topped boots have both arrived from Europe and I can't wait to get to wear them! It will probably be awhile, since I don't really think I should break in boots when I haven't ridding in weeks... but be prepared to see those hopefully soon! There is so much sparkle. And it's amazing.

Any favorites from today? Do you watch Shark Week? Anything else you want to talk about?

Thursday's Threads: Flamingo Edition

It's AMAZING out there today! Not a cloud in the sky and I think we're going to be around mid 80's. THIS is my weather. Finally! To celebrate, I decided to dress for the tropics.
It's hard to tell from far away, but there are a lot of flamingos happening here. I'm extra bummed the horses aren't working because they have matching flamingo outfits too. I'm sure eventually I'll get to share those though. And I mean, you can't have too many flamingo posts can you?

Top: Velvet Heart
How adorable is this loose fitting button down? I saw it at Marshalls and got super grabby hands about it. I already had the shoes (you'll see them soon, be patient) so I obviously had to own this too.

Belt: Mane Jane
To mix things up a little today, I paired a Mane Jane belt strap with an "H" buckle.

Jeans: Kut From the Kloth
My camera wasn't picking it up, but these actually have a really subtle pink wash to them. Perfect for a flamingo theme!

Shoes: Bucket Feet
I know. So Cute! I got these either last year or the year before, but have only worn them a few times. Definitely perfect with the top!

Accessories:
Tote: Kate Spade
I've been using a tote bag as a purse for awhile out of laziness, but it's pretty convenient because it holds so much stuff! The one I've been using is one of those ones  you can print a photo on. The photo on it was my holiday card photo... Clearly not appropriate for the season. So I switched to this one today.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Left is sporting a Stacie original. I found this tutorial on a bead store's blog, and altered it to have a Flamingo theme. I think it came out pretty cute!

Righty:
Righty is donning this ridiculously cute rhinestone flamingo cuff and two beaded bracelets from Pura Vida. The first has a little rose gold flamingo charm. So tiny!

That's it from here today! What are you wearing? Have any favorites?

Thursday's Threads

Happy Outfit Day everyone! As mentioned yesterday, there's been no riding so I only have a work outfit to share today. Fingers crossed for pony clothes next week!
Here's what I wore to work today:
It's definitely still winter here in CT (and from what I'm seeing, it's also winter in the south, settle down mother nature!). It was 9 degrees when I woke up this morning, but I think we actually may get above freezing today. Forties tomorrow, and maybe the fifties for the weekend though! Woohoo! Anyway, my point is, it's still sweater weather.

Sweater: Lucky Brand
I picked this sweater up at Macy's when I was down in Florida. They were having a sale on all Lucky Brand apparel and I might have stocked up on a few things... What I like about this layered sweater is that the blousey lining that sticks out the bottom is attached up high at the neck. So it actually is a full lining on the sweater. Often they just stick some fabric on the bottom.

Belt: Mane Jane
This is the flip side of my gold strap. It's actually also the flip side of my tan one... Yeah, I wound up with two straps with the same color on one side, but that's because the tan one was a stock belt that I found in the sale section.

Jeans: AG Jeans
I also grabbed these jeans when I was in Florida and realized I had under packed. Oops. Nothing very special about them, just your average blue jean. They have lots of stretch and are super comfy.

Boots: INC
Here they are! These are the boots I had to buy to fly home in due to that stupid Bomb Cyclone while I was away. I was so excited to find a color I didn't already have. It helped me justify the purchase. Plus they were 50% off. That helped too.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is donning quite the party! First up is a gorgeous bangle wrapped in wine color thread from Nicole's Creations. The other two are waxed cotton bracelets from Pura Vida, and lastly is my trusty apple watch.

Righty:
I know it appears I have two left hands, but I have the horse facing out today. Rather than flip the photo and have the horse upside down, I just left it this way. I promise it's my right hand. Anyway, righty is wearing a leather wrap bracelet and horse bracelet made by me. I hadn't been able to find these clasps for awhile, but thankfully my favorite craft supplier has them back in stock! Hopefully I can get back to creating soon. Rio ripped a large section of tail out a few weeks ago, and I'm thinking about trying to make a horse hair bracelet with one of these clasps. We'll see how it goes!

That's what I'm wearing today! Any favorites from today? What are you wearing? How's the weather in your area? Have you ever made a horse hair bracelet?

Thursday's Threads

Happy Outfit Day! It's effing cold here you guys. The day started at 28 degrees, and it's been dropping ever since. Plus the wind is blowing at about 25 mph. Lovely day. Wah. Obviously, I know how to dress for such occasions though.
I feel everyone needs to know how I'm feeling. This outfit sums it up pretty well.

Sweatshirt: LC Trendz
I should probably just wear this every day for the rest of my life. This shirt really gets me.

Jeans: DL1961
These jeans are ridiculously comfy. I got them from Moxie.Style in a denim grab bag. They're a little too short, but with boots on, no one can tell. They're super stretchy, but still a nice thick material. Perfect for a miserable day like today.

Boots: Coach
My mom got me these boots a few years ago for Chanukah. You can cuff them and wear them shorter, but I want all the warmth. All of it! Just for me. They are super warm, and I'm very glad I wore them today!

Arm Party!!!
Lefty:
Lefty is wearing two Ettika bracelets and my apple watch. I really love the bracelets from Ettika. They are so well made. You should feel the weight of the stone one. Sturdy!

Righty:
Righty is sporting a braided bracelet from Pura Vida. I think it has a Frozen vibe to it, don't you? The middle bracelet is another weighty piece from Ettika. I love the mixed media on it. And last is a vintage leather and metal bracelet. I'm uncertain of the brand on that one. It doesn't have any markings on it.

So that's what I'm wearing in an effort to not get hypothermia. What do you have on today? How's the weather where you are?

Thursday's Threads!

Happy Outfit day! It's freakin' freezing outside today... No it's not literally actually. But it feels like it. It's about 40, damp, and windy. So it feels like it's freakin' freezing. I opted for casual and cozy today.

Sweater weather! Literally! Ha.

 Sweater: Olive and Oak

It was nearly impossible to photograph the color of this sweater. It's definitely a pretty teal color and not gray like it looks in the top photo. I found this one in a flash sale from Moxie.style. I love how it looks kind of curly.

Jeans: Levis
These have been around awhile. They're a little short, I think maybe they're ankle length? But that's pretty perfect for wearing with tall boots!

Boots: Two Lips
I got these either last year or the year before. I love that you can adjust the height on them. Since it's cold out, I opted to wear them as tall as they go for as much warmth as possible.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is donning a mixed media bracelet from Ettika. I love that the beads are all different shapes. It's nice and heavy too, so it feels like a really quality piece of jewelry. Looks fab with the apple watch too!

Righty:
Righty is wearing all gray bracelets. The first comes from Nicole's creations, and has some purple beads in it though they photo didn't really pick them up well. The other two come from Pura Vida. I can't believe how well these two brands matched each other!

That's what I'm wearing today. Sorry I forgot to photograph my riding outfit last night, but it wasn't anything exciting anyway. I wore my gray Rider's Choice denim breeches and the same sweatshirt I showed you Tuesday but in a dark blue.

What are you wearing? How's the weather where you are?
