Thursday's Threads: 80's edition

Outfit Day! Today's theme for spirit week is Throwback Thursday and we could dress for any decade up through the 90's. I went with 80's since I had a saddle pad for that. Here's what Pammon and I wore this morning:
Anyone else notice how awkward I'm standing? Apparently, the same awkward as Pammon's back legs... Ha! Like mama like son.

We can do Pammon's outfit first.

Bonnet: If the Bonnet Fits
Bridle: Camelot wide RCS Bridle
Browband: Boy O'Boy Bridleworks

For cheapo bridles, I really like these. Unfortunately, you can only get the padded version now which I don't like as much. I love this spiked bonnet so much. They don't normally bunch up like it's doing in the top photo, it wasn't put on properly. Oops.

Boots: HKM (I think)
I figured black glitter was pretty 80's. I remember a lot of glitter in my childhood.

Saddle: Voltaire Stuttgart
Pad: I forget the name of the company that made this for me... sorry!
Half Pad: Ippico
I've been using the Stuttgart on Pammon lately because I'm too lazy to drag my Hermes back and forth. I can actually sit his trot in this saddle which is kind of a miracle. But I still don't love it. Debating whether I should sell it and try a Butet or a new Hermes, or just keep it and learn to love it. Keeping it would certainly be easier. But we'll see. Anyway, it's maybe hard to see in this photo, but the pad is covered in neon cassette tapes.

So, that's what Pammon wore, and now it's my turn!

Helmet: One K
This helmet isn't particularly 80's... but it has a lot of sparkle, and so I think it works.

Top: District

You all have seen the cassette tank before, but this time i layered it with a neon pink cami. Cause the 80's had layers. And neon. So much neon.

Belt: No brand
I didn't realize the buckle was reflecting the shirt until I went to post this photo. It's all black and rhinestones, no pink on it in real life! I got this from Poshmark awhile back,

Breeches: Smartpak Hadley
These are really black even if they photographed gray here... Just winning at the photo game today aren't I? Sheesh. Anyway, I wore the neon pink breeches Tuesday and I need the neon yellow ones tomorrow. So I just went with black today.

Boots: Imperial Riding
These are DEFINITELY 80's. The 80's were definitely louder is better. And well... what's louder than these boots? Maybe just the cow ones, but they weren't going to work with the outfit.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is donning a bracelet I made a bit ago. I love those cassette beads. I have some left over still and definitely need to do something else with them.

Righty:
Righty is donning this boom box bracelet from Kate Spade. It's not a cassette... but it would play cassettes so close enough.

And that's it for today! Any favorites?

Thursday's Threads

We've been having some beautiful weather around here, but today is supposed to get stormy. So back to long sleeves for a day!
It's cool outside, but I'm being cheap and not turning on the a/c so my house is not cool. Hence my lack of socks. I promise to put some on before I go to the barn!

Top: Dover
I really enjoy equestrian themed prints. So I grabbed this base layer shirt from Dover when it was on sale. It's heavier than a sun shirt, so definitely best suited for spring and fall. Or cool days like today.

Belt: Mane Jane
I honestly can't decide what color this shirt is. I might be gray? Maybe kind of olive? Or just brown? It's like all three. So I decided to match my belt to the brown stirrup leathers in the print. Though this Mane Jane strap is a bit darker brown. Close enough.

Breeches: B Vertigo
These are pretty old, but they are one of my favorite pairs of breeches. They're very lightweight and super stretchy. They also have glue on them... (You can see it just above my knee here.) Don't craft in your favorite breeches my friends.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is donning this leather stirrup bracelet. I've had it for YEARS and I'm pretty sure i got it from Etsy.

Righty:
Righty is wearing the fitbit in it's brown band along with this fun wrap bracelet from Ralph Lauren- a great Ebay score! The strap doesn't fit me right though, and I keep forgetting to do something about that.

I'm still riding exclusively in a pair of Regals and my One K Rose Gold Avance helmet. Once the horses are home I promise to vary my footwear and helmets again!

Any favorites from today? Do you have any particular riding apparel that you're in love with?

Thursday's Threads

Happy Outfit Day! I was a good little blogger and remembered riding outfit photos last night, so we can start there today.

Nothing super exciting, but you may notice my foot wear is more fun today!

Helmet: One K
I wore the navy One K last night to match my outfit. I did not, however, get a very good photo of it...

Jacket: Old Navy
Vest: Old Navy

My Dad got my stepmom and me barn jackets with our names on them so we fit in with everybody else. It's actually a pretty nice jacket! Very warm. And I love the barn's logo.

Sweater: PS of Sweden
I loved my green sweater so much, I got one in navy too. Or actually sapphire as they call it. I wasn't planning to get a second one, but I got Eros a cooler from them for Chanukah and decided to add this to the order so I could get free shipping. I have a bad habit of getting gifts for me along with everyone else... Oops.

Belt: Mane Jane
I'm not sure why I still have this old buckle in rotation. I have a gorgeous, shiny new one at home.

Breeches: ROMFH
I can't decide what color these are. They're kind of an olive-tan I guess? I dunno. I just know they're comfy and they fit me well.

Half Chaps and Paddock Boots: Cavallo
Spurs: Color Tack
You've all seen these before, but it's been a long while! I forgot (temporarily) that these paddock boots have room for extra socks! So they're back in the winter rotation. It's been awhile since I've ridden in anything other than tall boots, and I honestly felt a little loosey goosey in them. Interesting.

So that's what I wore to ride last night, and here's what I'm wearing at work today:
Winter Puggy!!!! So cute. So comfy.

Top: Bass
My mom gave me this adorable sweater for Chanukah, and I LOVE IT! That little puglet is PERFECT! He has the head tilt going on and his accessories are completely on point.

Belt: C4
I figured the best thing to do here was match my accessories to the pug's. I can't imagine you disagree.

Jeans: D Brand
These are just a boring ol' dark blue jean. Stretchy, comfy, staple sort of thing.

Shoes: Khombu
I'm not sure what time the insane rain is supposed to start here, but figured I should be prepared. Plus they match the pug's outfit.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
I haven't gotten around to making the extra from this belt into a bracelet yet, so that wasn't an option this morning. Instead I went with pugs. Can't go wrong there. These two stretchy bracelets I strung myself. One says Pia and one says Artie, but I figured I'd show the other side of Artie's so you can see the cute beads.

Righty:
More pugs!!!!!!!! One can never have too many pugs. Fact. The first little cuff bracelet I got several years ago on Etsy. I love the little curly tail on the butt side! The next two I made myself. I think those beads with the tongue out look just like Artie.

And that's it for today! Any favorites from today? Any favorites you've been wearing a lot lately?

Thursday's Threads

Happy Outfit Day! It's a semi nice fall day here. Highs are in the upper 70's but rain is almost here... I'll take the rain if it stays warm though! I have both a riding outfit AND a work outfit to share today, but they're both horsey, so I'm gonna do work first.

See?! Horsey! And the colors are very fall. Can you believe I had pants that matched the weird tan color in this top exactly? You can? I mean, I was surprised...

Top: Haley and the Hound
I grabbed this in the warehouse sale (which is still going on) for $12! The sleeve length is a little weird, but I like the rest of it. If you want one, click here to get your own.

Belt: Mane Jane
New belt strap, old buckle... This new strap is an awesome rose gold snakeskin on the other side, and it has a matching rose gold buckle too! But that didn't match with today's outfit, so you'll have to wait for that.

Pants: Vigold jeans
They look normal tan in this photo, but they're really the weirdest mustard color. I don't really know why I have them, being such a weird color, but now that I have this top I'm glad I do!

Shoes: Sperry
I should have gotten a side photo of these. They have gold soles that match the laces... And also my outfit. Is it possible to be addicted to boat shoes? I may need to find a meeting about this.

Arm Party!!!
Lefty:
Lefty is wearing a pretty rhinestone bit bracelet from Poshmark and my trusty apple watch.

Righty:
I did a little bracelet making the other day and these are two of them! I LOVE the new horse shoe sliders I found, and the dainty little ponies! Also mildly obsessed with the stitched leather.

So that's what I'm wearing at work today, but here's what I rode in yesterday:

Yep, green again. I can't help it. I like green. Plus I'm riding chestnuts these days, and how great is green on a redhead?! Answer: It's amazeballs.

Helmet: Charles Owen
Sorry it's so blurry. It was actually a lot darker out than it looks. Anyway, you all know greenie. Still love this one! It's gonna be a sad day when we reach that five year mark.

Top: Kastel Denmark
I really love these shirts. I should have more of them. This is the wool version.

Belt: Rebecca Ray
I had this belt in a fabulous metallic teal color, and I love the quality. So when I found this hunter green one on sale at Shop Hunt Club it immediately found its way to my house. I'm not even sure how it happens. One minute it's on the interwebs, next thing I know, it's in my mailbox. So weird.

Breeches: Ariat
It's an odd angle, but I wanted you to know that these breeches have butt pockets! I love butt pockets. Good place for a hoofpick to hang out.

Boots: Regals
I know, you're all tired of them. But I can't be breaking in boots right now! Some of them are close, so hopefully soon I can get those finished up and you can see fun boots again. At least you saw some yesterday though!

That's it for today! Have any favorites? Get any fun riding clothes lately?
