What's Up Wednesday

Nothing terribly exciting to report here this week. I've been plugging away in the craft room, and it's just about finished. I have one more small bookshelf en route, and then then some stuff to hang on the walls, and that should be that! I'm really happy with it. It's morphed into a craft room/library. And it's pink! I've tried three times to upload a little video tour, but to no avail. So here are some photos instead.

It was terrible weather this weekend, cold (in the 40's Saturday!) and really windy. So I didn't feel so sad about staying inside and getting things done. I did get to visit the horses on Saturday morning. I had to drop off supplements again and Pammon was almost out of his treat pockets for his meds. It was perfect timing as he was just heading out for his walk. While I was watching him walk, Eros came out for his hand walk, too. So I got to see both boys out and about. Shiny I visited in her stall, and everyone was pumped full of snacks accordingly. Still waiting on the quote to fix my ring, but hopefully that will get moving along soon. I haven't talked to the parentals yet, but I'm leaning towards bringing Eros and Shiny home and keeping Pammon at the barn with Fefe for the summer. But we'll see. Eros isn't just my horse, so I have to see if the family will be okay with that.

Sunday was a little nicer, fortunately, and I got to socially distantly visit with my mom for Mother's Day. I had flowers delivered ahead of time and her gift had arrived earlier in the week. So no contact required. And I even brought my own folding chair for comfort. Ha! Life is so weird right now.

I got to see my nieces from a distance last week also as they both had birthdays. So I guess it was a very "social" week for me! It was really nice to see my family, even from a distance. Dad and Stepmom will be home in a couple weeks (Fefe too) so that will be nice also.

So I guess that's it for now. Hope you're all hanging in there!

Truthful Tuesday

Well. We've had the plague and the murder hornets... And now I'm fighting the mice. Those little ass holes got into a fresh bag of P's prescription dog food. The jerks! So I've waged an all out war. So far I've caught five. Five! Disgusting. I don't even want to know how many more there are. The curse of old houses I'm afraid. Everyone always thinks old houses are haunted, but usually it's just a horrible rodent infestation. Still though, I prefer the mice to when I had the squirrel problem. That was a nightmare. Literally, because those effers are nocturnal and would wake me up at night.
I think with all my house cleaning and moving into the upstairs after all these years, I've dislodged all their secret living places. So I guess I've been living with a lot of mice all over the house for a long tine and was just in denial. How gross.
So that's today's confession. It's mouse hunting season.

And as promised I have a Tuesday outfit to share. Not a full post, just some pics for you:

Thursday's Threads

Happy Outfit Day! We've reached the point in quarantine where it's extra difficult to keep track of the days. So I wore my Thursday outfit to make sure I can remember all day.
And if you're wondering, yes, I have a sweater for each day of the week. I've been collecting them for awhile now, and I just finally completed the weekdays.

Sweater: Unbranded
I found Thursday on ebay. There was one seller that had all the days, which made it pretty easy to finish my collection, but I didn't like their Thursday color scheme. So I had to go hunting for this one. Kind of Halloweenish, but I like it.

Belt: C4
C4 put my favorite meme on a belt. I thought it was just an April Fool's joke but then they actually had it on the website so I had to get it. So perfect for these times. Plus it matches my Thursday sweater.

Jeans: True Religion
I went with these gray jeans for the Thursday outfit.

Socks: Betsey Johnson
Betsey made it easy to get all the days on my feet. One pack of socks covered the whole week! These are actually a halloween themed set it seems like, but that's sort of perfect for my orange and black Thursday sweater. This pair says "Spooky Thursday" which is also appropriate for these scary times we're living in.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
As much as I love my Hermes watch band in all it's beauty, I am having a lot of fun with watch bands too. So obviously I had to get this one that matches the belt. I also made that childlike stretch bracelet that says Thursday. It's amazing the things I've discovered in my home while cleaning up. Those giant letter beads was one such find.

Righty:
Righty has my Fitbit up first. I went simple with just a black band for that today. Next up is a cuff bracelet from Rustic Cuff. They had this days of the week set on their site for awhile, but it was stupid expensive so I didn't buy it. At the start of this pandemic they put it on clearance for 80% off and I was all "Sold!". So I have all the days in cuffs as well. The next two I strong together during one of my quarantine craft sessions.

So that's it for today! Are you all still in your jammies? Keeping track of the days?

What's Up Wednesday

Another week! Things in my state are teetering on being able to move to phase 2, but yesterday our hospitalizations spiked again, so we have to see how that goes. My dad and stepmom (And Fefe!) will be heading home at the end of the month, so I think I'm going to aim for that as my return to the barn time. We'll just have to see how things are going! I really want to start riding again. Pammon is on full training board right now, so may wait on him until June. He's pretty hot and needs a lot of sedation for his walks. So probably best I don't get on him after not riding for two months. I'm hoping to have the ring work done by June ish, so maybe I can bring some horses home then. I'm thinking about asking the fam how they would feel about letting Eros come home for his rehab (with Shiny of course!) and keeping Fefe and Pammon at the boarding barn for the summer. Eros is an easy going guy, and I feel much more comfortable managing his rehab on my own. Hopefully they'll be on board! But we'll see where things are with the ring too.
I did get to see the horses again this weekend as I had to drop off some supplements. Which I get to do again this weekend too! Shiny's and Pammon's come together, but on a different schedule from Eros. Kinda nice since it means I have more excuses to visit my ponies.

We had a glorious weekend here. It was actually warm out! And we saw the sun! So I did just a few small things in the house because I really want to get it all finished before I jump back into the full swing of horsing. Namely, I moved my shoe chairs from my shoe closet to the craft room, and put together the book shelves that had arrived.

So this room is close to being done. I just have to organize all my crap and put it away. I'm planning to actually put books on those book shelves too, which are mostly down stairs. So that will be good exercise one of these days... This leaves some cleaning up in the office/spare bedroom, fixing the mess I created in the shoe closet, and the same in the downstairs spare bedroom, and finally the switching over to spring/summer clothes. Phew. Sounds like a lot left. Ugh.
Anyway, the puggers and I had lots of fun outside this weekend.

I also did some work out in the barn and the shed organizing all the saddle pads and horse boots. Over the winter, my helper did a deep clean of the barn, but he moved everything around to get that done. So I started putting things back where they belong and getting things organized in there. Definitely a few more days of work to do in there still. But it's a start! I also want to get all the show stuff sorted out and moved back into the trailer. It's only been two years that it's been sitting in an extra stall... No rush still obviously, but I feel like this is the best time to do it.
In other news, my 40th birthday turned out pretty decent! I had a social distant visit from a friend from work who brought me flowers and a balloon:
Got some lovely cards:
Had a zoom with some of my favorite people, AND got this delicious basket of cookies delivered from my bestie:
And of course I made myself a cake which I enjoyed with a little too much Rose.

This weekend's quarantine craft (maybe not a craft... but whatever) was putting together the Lego version of Central Perk.

So that's it from here. How was your past week? How is "The Situation" where you are?

Truthful Tuesday

I have a few confessions today... but nothing major.

First, I still have some girl scout cookies I hoarded away, and today I ate a whole sleeve of thin mints. #noregrets

Next, and this is a real #firstworldproblem, but I miss having someone else clean my house. I love to organize and make things neat. But I really just despise actually cleaning. Not sure why honestly. I think I just don't want to spend my time doing it.

And last, I got my MIPS helmet today, but I am not in love. I'm not sure if the size smaller would be better, but I think it's just too round honestly. It has a dial so I can crank it up so it's tight front to back, but there's too much room on the sides. I had a feeling that might happen, but had more than one person tell me Tipperary fits long ovals well. Perhaps the MIPS helmet is a little different than their norm though. It is an attractive helmet, and if you have a more normal shaped head, I think I would recommend.

I think this was a final sale, so I'm going to see if it fits my stepmom. But if not, I may have it for sale. Kinda bummed as I really wanted a MIPS helmet that's pretty. But I'm willing to bet One K will come out with something soon, and that brand seems to fit me best. Time will tell. Not like I need it right mow anyway!

What's happening with all of you? Anything you need to confess?

Thursday's Threads: Quarantine Birthday Edition

It's my BIRTHDAY! I'm officially 40. And hopefully fabulous. Time will tell there. So here's today's birthday outfit!
Um yea, that's an inflatable crown. I found it when I was cleaning out the family room. Solid find if you ask me. I've been wearing it all day.

Tops:
I don't remember the brands on either of these. The cardigan lost its tag and I bought the t-shirt from a targeted Facebook ad (#sucker). The tee says 2020 The One Where I Celebrate My Birthday in Quarantine. It's supposed to be Friends themed. And the 0's in 2020 are wear masks. So it's silly and perfectly appropriate.

Belt: Mane Jane
Went with the purple belt to match my shirt and the rose gold buckle.

Pants: Seven Jeans
It didn't pick up well in the photo, but these have a silver coating on them. So they're shiny. Which makes them party pants. Perfect for my birthday.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Excluding my tech, all of my bracelets today are from Rustic Cuff. The little cuff here has my initial S on the other tab, but you can't really see it in the photo.

These resin cuffs remind me of the silly bagles I used to wear for dress up when I was a little kid. They are classier. But they remind me of those. And I love that floral strap for my fitbit!

So that's what I'm wearing for this quarantine edition of my birthday!
Cheers!
