Thursday's Threads

Outfit Day! This is my last pre-saved outfit to share. After this week, we'll have real time Thursday outfits. Expect lots of navy. But today? Today we have another cute autumn themed outfit modeled by Eros. Here's what he wore:

I dunno guys... I think the dad bod has slimmed down a little bit. Or maybe this is just his good side? Hard to say. Either way, he's the cutest chestnut I know.

Bridle: Joseph Sterling
Browband: Hand made by me

Okay, yeah, I've had way too much fun with these wooden beads from Amazon. They seem to make them for every season and every holiday, and I just think they are SO CUTE for silly browbands. Way more fun than the repurposed dog leashes I sometimes use. Or at least, I think so.

Saddle: Butet
Saddle Pad: Ogilvy, embellished by me
Half Pad: Ippico
I loved this leaf ribbon so much! I was trying to decide which ribbon to use for fall themed outfits, and I absolutely could not choose between this one and the pumpkin truck one we saw a couple weeks ago. So I just made both. Who needs to make responsible decisions anyway?

Boots: Eskadron
I really was torn initially on whether or not I needed these boots. But we used them a ton this fall, and I'm so glad I made the splurge.

That's what Eros wore, and here's what I had on:

My barn colors just scream perfect fall outfits so it's really easy for me to just keep putting them together.

Helmet: Samshield
I really can't get over how purple this helmet has gotten! It's very reminiscent of the old velvet helmets I grew up with. It was a real status symbol to have a properly faded helmet! And I guess I've reached that status level once again.

Shirt and vest: Ariat
Nothing new here today, you've seen these both before. But they are definitely a couple of my favorite things, so you will be seeing them again I'm sure. The shirt is a quarter zip base layer that is merino wool. I hope Ariat does them again one of these days. They're SO nice. And the vest is just so perfect with the hunt scene. I love it.

Belt: Pony Locks
This is Jamp's tail hair belt. I'm really impressed with the quality on these belts. I wear it a lot, and it's holding up beautifully. Hard to believe it's already four years old.

Breeches: Horze Grand Prix
I don't give these breeches enough wear time. They're really comfortable. They do run a little big so if you're kind of between sizes, I'd go down. I generally wear a 28, and that's what these are, but the waist is a bit loose.

Boots: DeNiro
So I gotta tell you guys. I've had these boots about three weeks now. I ride on average four horses a day in them. I have already worn off part of the leather on the left boot. That's approximately 70 rides. To be fair, I paid very little for these boots since they were a closeout. But still. I do love DeNiro's for how comfortable they are, but the quality is really meh. If I could, I would wear nothing but Celeris. And maybe Romitelli. I need to try them again.

Anyway, I got to rambling about boots again... Sorry. It's one of my favorite topics! So this is what I wore for my very last at home outfit. Any favorites? Do you have De Niro's? How did yours hold up?

Thursday's Threads

Outfit Day! It's so nice having riding outfits to share again. Though admittedly, my outfit this week wasn't all that exciting. Let's go see!
We're having our first real heat spell here in New England with temps right around 90 and humidity around 75% which isn't too bad. I hear tomorrow it will be 90% which is pretty sticky when it's in the 90's. So it's time for me to switch to short sleeves and lightweight breeches!

Helmet: One K
This is the same one I wore last week. I like the lighter color, and the bling is fun too.

Shirt: Smart ass and sass
I subscribe to this box called Smart ass and sass. They send out snarky items each month, and the tee shirts are usually pretty great. This one in particular speaks the truth about me.

Belt: Mane Jane
This is the plain black strap with the gunmetal buckle. Simple, yet classy.

Breeches: Irideon
These are super lightweight, which is perfect for this weather. I liked that the trim matched the t-shirt letters and the gray color is pretty close to the helmet too.

Boots: Regal Patent
I was boring and just wore my trusty regals. I'm thinking as the last of my stash dies off I may replace them with Deniro's. The Deniros are more money, but they are even more comfortable.... We'll have to see how that plays out in the next couple of years!

So that's what I rode in last night! And I have a work outfit too.

Time for the shorter pants to come out! Though my office is freezing and I might be having regrets right now.

Top: Green Envelope
I love a nice tee that's not clingy. This one is so perfect I actually have it in two colors. This one here has olive stripes, which I'm not sure is obvious in the photo. My other has navy.

Belt: Pony Locks

This is my Jampy belt. I really love it, and thus had to show you all the angles. Again. Seriously though, how gorgeous, right? And the green piping matches the shirt pretty well too!

Pants: Kut from the Kloth
I'm not sure if these are boyfriend fit or if I bought the wrong size, but I haven't washed them yet, so they'll probably shrink anyway. Either way, they're super comfy since they're not too tight!

Shoes: Sperry
I went with my green Sperry's to match the stripes on the shirt. I've had these awhile now and wear them a lot, and they still look great!

Accessories!
Necklace:
I know you've seen this one before, and I actually never take it off. But I wanted to highlight it today since it matches so nicely with my top. Samantha over at Auburn Jewelry custom made this for me. It's my farm logo and I just love it so much!

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is supporting all the tech stuff today. Fitbit in the rubber band bracelet, then the one non-tech bracelet is my favorite dee bit, and last but not least is my apple watch.

Righty:

Righty is donning a full on Jamp stack today! First is the bracelet you all saw already from Horse Hair Creations on Etsy. The middle one I actually got along with the belt from Pony Locks. And the last one just arrived yesterday! It is also from Etsy, from a store called The Sugar Lady. I wanted to combine a couple of different designs that she has, and she did that for me no problem. It took awhile, but it was worth the wait. So one nameplate has his name on it, then the middle has two rows of braided tail hair, and then the other plate has his years, 1999-2019. I just love how they all came out, and I think they look amazing all stacked together. So nice to take Jampy with me some days.

And that's it for today! Any favorites? Do you have any horse hair jewelry or accessories that are special to you?

Thursdays Threads

Outfit Day! I have a riding outfit and a work outfit today, cause I'm a good blogger... I'll start with Shiny's outfit because she's the cutest pony in all the land.

Bridle: QHP Shiva Bridle
I bought these bridles for the horses awhile back, but since everyone was retired, they're stored away. (For now.) When I got Shiny I decided she needed one too. Yes, the crown, browband, and noseband are green leather! The bridle is really cute! It's not the highest end leather by any means but the price point reflects that. It comes with web reins which aren't really my preference, so I'm going to swap them out whenever I get around to it. Shiny is wearing a cob size, and it fits her perfectly. The bridle comes in a few different color options, I believe there is navy, gray, and burgundy. They also come in plain black or brown, but that's kind of boring... AND they're on sale over at Deco Pony right now. Use code 20OFF to save 20%. The bridle is $125 so with the code it's $100. Not bad for a bridle this cute that comes with reins!
She's also sporting a rainbow bit. I got this one on ebay so I'm not sure of the brand. Punk Ponies carries them though!

Saddle Pad: Premier Equine
Saddle: Butet
You guys didn't think I had only bought one saddle pad for the pony did you? Lol. Do you even know me? I actually bought this one first to see if it was going to work. It was on sale for $40 USD so I figured I'd start with that and see if the design was going to work. When it did, I got the purple one you saw last week. I prefer the more square version than this shaped one. But I like this one well enough too. I hope they come out with some other color options.

Boots: Punk Ponies
Obviously my little golden pony needs golden boots! I bought this pair alone to see how the sizing was, but she has some other colors on the way now. I would have preferred green with this outfit, so I'm looking forward to those getting here! But these worked well with my outfit, so all was not lost.

I decided to match Miss Shiny, because why not?
I like that her pads both have green fleece. I have many items of apparel that work with that!

Helmet: Charles Owen
You guys remember Greenie? I still love this helmet. SO much.

Top: Smartpak
I snagged this one from the clearance section a few weeks ago. Can't have too many sunshirts!

Belt: Pony Locks

My belt made from Jampy's tail arrived not long ago, and I decided it was time to wear it. This really came out beautifully. I HIGHLY recommend Pony Locks if you want something special done with your horse's tail. You can choose the padding color and from a few different designs. This one was my favorite. It has hunter green padding. The hair is braided and you can see it on two sides. There is a break in the exact middle in the back where this nameplate with his name is affixed. And I upgraded to the horse shoe buckle. You can also choose nickle hardware instead of brass if you prefer. It's incredibly well made and the process was very easy.

Breeches: Tailored Sportsman
These are hunter green, but the photo washed out a bit. TS breeches still fit me the best. I wish that weren't true. But facts are facts.

Boots: Fama 4 All
You guys haven't seen these in a bit! They could use a washing... But they're breaking in nicely and I'm still so in love with them! I mean, how awesome to have your farm logo cut out of your boots?! You'll notice I'm not wearing spurs. It seems my troubles with Shiny were directly related to her hatred of spurs. So I go without and we are both happy now.

So that's what I wore to ride! Here's what I'm wearing at work today:

It's cold and raining, so I needed a sweater. But I still wanted to feel summery so I picked one with a flamingo on it. I'm definitely having a moment with flamingos this year!

Sweater: Modcloth
I think this is so cute with the Flamingo wrapped around the collar. Like a birdie hug all day long!

Belt: Mane Jane
Obviously the flamingo pink belt strap was the way to go here... I have a C4 flamingo belt, but it's aqua and pink and wasn't quite right for the sweater. This was though!

Jeans: Lucky Brand
You guys may notice I've been wearing Lucky Brand jeans a lot lately. They had them on super clearance at Marshalls a few months back, and I totally stocked up. They're so comfy and the fit is really nice for me. So you'll probably keep seeing them.

Shoes: Bucket Feet
I've had these awhile now. I think you've seen them before even. They're SUPER comfy and perfect for a rainy summer day.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is wearing a wire bracelet I made I think last year. It has cute little sleeping flamingos on the ends!

Righty:
Righty is donning the cutest, daintiest, little flamingo bracelet from Pura Vida, my fitbit is in that pretty rosegold wrap bracelet, and the super shiny cuff in back is from Kate Spade.

And that's it for today! Thoughts on flamingos? Any favorites from today? Are you going to get a new bridle from the Deco Pony sale?
