Thursdays Threads

Happy Outfit Day friends! It's back down in the 30's here and after being in FL and then stuck in bed, I had a feeling it would be a real shock to my already ailing system. Obviously this means I needed to wear a furry vest today!

I never thought I'd be a furry vest wearing kind of girl. But here I am. Wearing a furry vest.

Vest: Rue 21
Shirt: Old Navy

It's definitely more tame looking like the top photo than it appears in this picture, I promise! It's a nice wine color. I feel a little bit like a muppet. But it's so warm and cozy. Oh and also, it was $5.00. My only complaint is that it closes with hooks, and those darn things DO NOT STAY CLOSED! I tried squeezing them shut more, but they wouldn't budge. But hey, for $5 I can't complain really.
The shirt underneath is just a waffle shirt from Old Navy. I love them for an added layer under all kinds of things.

Pants: Express

I'm certain you've seem these, and probably recently. They're currently my favorite pants. They are more black than this photo shows, and are made of coated denim. LOVE THEM SO MUCH!

Booties: Very Volatile

Soooo... truth is, these boots are the reason I bought the muppet vest.  I had seen them on Zulilly a million times but never bought them because I don't wear a lot of wine colored clothing. But I kept being drawn to them. And when they showed up in the blowout sale for super cheap I finally caved and bought them. And then happened upon the muppet vest. And a furry outfit was born!

Belt: Mane Jane

I know you've seen the Mane Jane from the gold side, but I'm not sure I've ever shared the wine color side with you. I love that this belt is reversible. It's like getting two for the price of one!

Arm Party:
Lefty:

Lefty was boring today, because I'm still exhausted from fighting the plague. I was like, hey lefty, hows about just a watch today? And left was all, "sure dude." And then I checked that I don't still have a fever because who talks to their arm?

Righty:

Righty is all done up in a stack from Nicole's Creations. I can't remember if this one made it on the blog yet because I'm horribly delinquent in my posts lately. But either way, the beads on here are gorgeous. They have a shimmer to them and as usual, the bracelets are exactly perfect in size.

Thursday's Threads

I nearly forgot to do a Thursday's Threads today! Ooops! But I remembered with plenty of hours to spare. Yay me! Today I spent the day riding my yellow horse and watching my trainer show in the 1.35 Meter jumpers at WEF. Great day if you ask me! Thus, today's outfit is a riding outfit:

Top: Dakini

I had never heard of this brand but found a similar top last year at Marshalls and fell in love. It's a very light weight washable wool. They are pretty pricey, but I found this one on clearance for around $25. If you ever see one, definitely grab it! It's on the cool side here today and quite windy, so I was happy to have a wool long sleeve shirt to wear! (Also, it has thumbholes making it the best shirt ever.)

Breeches: Ariat

Again, sorry for the awful photo. There was a shadow that I was unwilling to move out of. These Ariat breeches are awesome. They are navy with an aqua blue (turquoise maybe) stitching. They fit perfectly, and I wish they made other colors.

Belt: Mane Jane

I'm still so in love with this belt. I think I may have to order another color or two... The neat thing about Mane Jane is you can order just the belt strap. Since I already have a buckle, I don't need to pay full price for another belt with buckle.

Shoes: Margaritaville

These are my barn boat shoes. They have stood around in mud, walked through dry, dusty rings, and cleaned stalls. I take terrible care of them and treat them with reckless abandon. And yet they are still going strong. I bought them at least three years ago in VT. I had been shopping in town and realized I didn't have shoes with me to do night check. Rather than drive back to the hotel, I stopped at the shoe store and found these in the clearance section for $10. That's money well spent my friends.

I don't ride with an arm party, so I just wore my apple watch today:
