Thursday's Threads

Outfit day already! Just Al is modeling today because I kept forgetting to snap photos of the others. Outfit day is admittedly a little weak when I'm at the boarding barn. Plus it's winter. Winter is stupid too. Anyway, here's what I wore today:

Rita's first outfit day cameo!
It's pretty cold here today, so this was layered with outerwear too of course. I'm pretty much already counting down the days to spring. Unfortunately, there's a lot of them left.

Helmet: One K

Rocking the KN95 just in case still. Looking forward to being able to switch to a more comfortable face cover though!

Hoodie: Horseplay Apparel
You guys have seen this before... but probably with less dog hair. Lol! Still a favorite of mine. I wish they made a hunter green version!

Belt: Rebecca Ray
I love these Rebecca Ray belts! The leather is super soft, and I am a big fan of fancy stitching (clearly).

Breeches: Dover Wellesley
I am super into the color of these breeches! It's more accurately depicted in the belt photo above. They're almost a heathered light blue. Really pretty. And the Wellesley breeches are a nice weight for this time of year. Not too thick, but definitely provide more warmth than Tailored Sportsmans do.

Socks: Dreamers and Schemers
It's almost time to switch to thicker socks for the winter, but so far as long as I wear my warm boots, these are keeping my feet warm enough!

Boots: Tredstep
Recycled photo... sorry!

It will be the saddest of days when I have to retire these boots. Okay, well not this pair exactly, I do have a backup pair. But they're discontinued, so once those go, they're gone for good. And THAT will be a sad day.

So that's what I had on, and here's what Al was donning today:

Bridle: Camelot
Browband: Boy O' Boy Bridleworks
Don't believe this serene face... Big Al was WILD tonight! We both survived though. Phew.

Saddle: Butet
Saddle Pad: Premier Equine
It's officially everything-rubs-the-horses season so I've got everyone wearing this type of pad with the half pad sort of built in. These PEI pads have increased in price slightly, but they're still probably the best price you'll find for this type of pad.

Boots: Equinavia/Horze
I had wanted to get Al a pair of the PEI boots, but they were sold out of his size. I found these on sale instead from Equinavia, and they're doing the job just fine.

That's it for this week. Kind of a low key outfit, but after several weeks of holiday and spirit week outfits, I think it's a nice change! Any favorites from today?

  1. How do you feel those Horze boots fit/run size-wise? I want to get a grey set for Opie.

    1. They're pretty true to size. I usually do medium or cob size up front depending on brand, and I believe these are medium and fit well. The fuzzy is just trim on these though, just fyi, they are fabric on the inside.
