Thursday's Threads

Outfit Day! It's a weird day over here... Supposed to get up into the 50's today, but since it's been cold, it's super foggy. And I think it might rain. But hey, at least it's not snow, which is apparently heading here for the weekend. Crazy!
Since I did sit on my horse this weekend, I have a riding outfit to share! It's pretty weak and not at all matchy matchy though... It's actually kind of clashy clashy... Not quite up to my norm!

Ok, full disclosure. I put the boots on to take the photo, but I did NOT actually ride in them. It was a muddy mess out there! No way was I taking them out in that! But I figured you all could use a break from my Regals.

Helmet: Charles Owen AYR8
I should have grabbed my blue one, but I was obviously feeling incredibly lazy.

Jacket: Eddie Bauer
Fleece top: Eddie Bauer
All the layers! It was still pretty chilly out, and VERY damp. I've discussed previously my love for packable down. No need to rehash. As for the fleece top, I have mixed feelings. I really love this kind of knitted fleece. it's soft and warm and super cozy. But everything sticks to it! Probably better for lounging at home than wearing in the barn. But whatever.

Belt: C4
I picked this one up from one of the tack sites when they had it on clearance. I think it's fun how it looks like a leather belt with metal bits on it, but it's actually just printed. And yes, I now have a matching cuff bracelet! Though I didn't yet here.

Breeches: Ariat Heritage
Another clearance find! I love that these have pockets. Though I think maybe that makes them kind of manly looking. Also, the first time I wore these a few weeks ago, they were kind of big. I haven't really changed shape in the last few weeks, but after washing these were pretty snug. So I do think they shrink a bit in the dryer.

Boots: Pioneer

I'm really so happy with how these came out. They're a little crazy, yes, but they're so fun! I can't wait to actually try riding in them!

And now, on to today's work outfit:
I didn't get a very good night's sleep and was feeling kind of blah this morning, so I really just wanted something comfy. If I could have worn jammies to work today, I totally would have.

Sweater: Kaisley
I found this I think two years ago on clearance at Marshalls or TJ Maxx. I think I paid six dollars for it. $6 well spent my friends! It's a cotton/poly blend, which makes it super soft, and washable too! I love how oversize it is. Perfect for a blah day.

Belt: Mane Jane
This is the belt strap I won in the Mane Jane contest. I love the dark gray, it goes well with so many things! The other side is pink.

Jeans: True Religion
These definitely have been near the top of the favorites list for awhile now. I think the thick, contrasting white stitching is really fun. And True Religion jeans seem to fit me really well. As long as they're the stretchy ones. Got a not stretchy pair once in error, and well... Those went off to consignment immediately.

Boots: Lucky Brand
You've seen these a million times now. I just love them. They go with almost anything, and are SO COMFY! Plus they fit like a glove.

Arm party:
Lefty:
Nothing fancies up an outfit quite like glitter, amiright? Lefty is donning a pretty little glitter cuff I made along with the apple watch.

Righty:
Righty is also wearing some Stacie Originals. While the patterns aren't exactly the same on these bracelets, the color are so I think they work together. I love the horsey one!

And that's it for today! What are you wearing? Don't tell me if you're wearing jammies, cause I'll be super jealous.

Truthful Tuesday

You guys, I was SO well behaved on Black Friday. I even made it through Amanda's (the900Facebookony) epic list of deals without buying ANYTHING! I was slightly less good for small business Saturday. There were a couple things I wanted to grab for my blogger gift exchange present, and whilst on the site I stocked up on a few things for the new trailer and the barn. But none of that was too bad at least. Sunday night is when things took a turn...

I was sitting down after I successfully packed myself up for Florida next weekend. Minding my own business. Paid a couple bills. Snuggled the pups. When it happened. The Connected Rider sent a 25% off SITE WIDE coupon to all current customers. Now this doesn't seem that impressive. Riding Warehouse has been doing that all weekend. BUT... The Connected Rider is one of a very few stores in the country repping the Pioneer boot line. If you don't know what those are, go google them. I'll wait....

Did you find them? I've been lusting after two pair in particular for quite some time. I just last weekend sold my Fama boots to a good friend. AND I've been hoarding all the money I've made over at Used Horse Stuff. Which mostly covered my accidental spending spree... mostly, not entirely. So fingers crossed the other boots I sent to Used Horse Stuff sell quickly. Because I didn't choose one of the two I was wanting. I got both. I know. Someone take away my credit card!

But enough teasing, I guess you'd like to see what I ordered huh? Ok first are these ridiculous ones that I'm stupid excited about:

I didn't pick any different options here. I went right for the black patent with gold glitter because subtlety just isn't really my thing (at home). I mean, I'm super traditional in the show ring and usually in public. But at home I like to have fun!

And next up are these beauties that I've shown you guys once before:
For this pair, I am getting them in blue though, not brown. I already have brown boots. I sent my blue ones to Used Horse Stuff so obviously there is space in my wardrobe for them. They'll look pretty fab with my blue sparkly Charles Owen don't you think?
So those are my confessions today. I DO clearly have a problem. But there are much worse addictions.

An aside: If anyone wants to buy my extra Hermes saddle (16.5" regular flap) or my very old PJ saddle (16" short flap) that would be really helpful considering my recent confession.

Ok your turn! Anything you need to confess about this past weekend's spendathon? Did you behave and only get gifts for your friends and family or did you have a bad moment like me and get yourself a little something too? Any amazing deals you're dying to share?

Thursday's Threads: Pug Edition

Outfit Day!!!! It's been about a minute since I wore something silly and fun for Thursday's Threads. I figured that's a minute too long!
I know what you're thinking... That doesn't look silly at all. Looks kind of classy and boring. Well you are right. Sort of. Wait till we look closer!

Top: Oat and Fawn
That's right. There are little PUGS all over this top! Pugs! Curly tails and everything! I can't even. I happened to be browsing the sale section of the Golden Tote website one day, and lo and behold, I saw this top. I didn't think for a second before adding to cart. Best. Shirt. Ever.

Jeans: Earl Jeans
I wear these a lot. They are super comfy, very stretchy, and have rhinestone rivets on the pockets. What's not to love there?

Shoes: Anvali
Why yes, those ARE Pugs on my flip flops too! I stumbled across these adorable leather sandals when I was browsing Etsy. Seriously, I should never browse Etsy.... Costs me an arm and a leg every time. EVERY. TIME. These are super cute though. They are hand made in Africa.

Arm Party!
Lefty:

In keeping with the Pug theme, I wore the bracelets I made with my dogs' names on them. I had to show you both sides because the beads are so cute!

Righty:
Righty had some fun today! First up is an Alex and Ani inspired Pug bracelet from Etsy. Next is a leather wrap I found at the Tory Burch outlet when I was in Florida. That's followed by a Jules Smith cuff I had gotten many moons ago from Little Black Bag. I love the wooden hearts on the ends. And lastly, is a rhinestone bangle from Fornash that just arrived in the mail earlier this week. (I may or may not have had a little too much fun during their memorial day/moving sale.)

Ok, on to my riding outfit! Not to brag, but I've been having lots of fun with my riding outfits this week. Since it's so late in the day, I'm going to give you a bonus outfit! Not one, but TWO riding outfits today! One at a time though. Be patient.

I was feeling lazy about snapping pics with my watch, so this full outfit pic is a little weak. But you get the idea. I'm starting to think that Annie's Equestrian and US Polo Assn are in cohoots with their color schemes. There is a polo shirt to match every pair of Annie's I have!

Top: US Polo Assn
Why yes, the binding on the sleeve and the giant pony DO match my breeches. Thanks for noticing! Zulily featured this brand a few weeks ago, and I stocked up on new polo shirts. Mine were getting pretty icky.

Breeches: Annie's Equestrian
I think this color was called Berry? But honestly I can't remember. I've had them awhile. So long, some of the bling has come off. I still love them though. They're like riding in jammies. SO COMFY!

Belt: LV inspired
 Another ebay special...

Boots: Horka

I know! How pretty are these babies They're distressed leather, so totally a different color than my brown Tuffriders. Totally. I think I will get a comparison post written soon, but in the meantime, I will tell you, these are ridiculously comfortable for new boots. I had a terrible time zipping them up, but once I got them on, they molded right to my leg.  So much in love with them. I got them from the Connected Rider. The spurs and straps both came from Horseloverz. Spurs are from Centaur and the straps are Ovation.

Now for outfit number 2:
I've clearly been on an Annie's kick lately. This whole outfit is from various small businesses.

Breeches: Annie's Equestrian
These are the Original Blue color. It's pretty much exactly the color of your favorite jewelry company's boxes. So pretty! But try not to let you horse slobber all over them...

T-shirt: Hunt Club
Hunt Club has the cutest t-shirts! They run very true to size and hold up great in the washer and dryer. Important for a screen printed tee. So many of them fade really quickly.

Belt: Mane Jane
As if it needed an introduction... Have you gotten one yet??

Ok, that's all I have for you today. Maybe next week I'll have some running clothes to share.  What do you have on? Talk to me in the comments!
