Thursday's Threads: animal print edition

I mean... I couldn't NOT wear my new cow boots for outfit day this week, right?! So we should probably start there.

Seriously. Just look at them!

Helmet: one K
Recycled photo, I forgot a helmet pic, sorry! But it's the same old here... I thought about wearing greenie, but the green is not the same as the boot green, and also... that might be too much.

Top: New England Equitation Championships
Picked this hoodie up about 200 years ago when I showed at New England finals. It's hardy. I wear it all the time.

Belt: Tory Burch
I grabbed this belt at the Tory Burch outlet in Florida this year. I walked out of there with a belt, a sweater, and sunnies that day. And they were all the exact same color. I have a green problem apparently.

Breeches: Harry's Horse
You guys have seen these before, I've had them a few years now. They're not usually so dirty though!

Boots: Celeris UK
There's not really much to say here... They're amazing. Perfect in every way. And literally felt like I'd worm them 100 times straight out of the box. I do plan to get some green spurs for them from Punk Ponies. But I have to wait until next month as I'm currently horse poor.

I almost wore cow print to work today too, but at the last minute I switched to leopard.
Leopard is also fun.

Sweater: Brodie
Dad and Stepmom gave me this one for Chanukah this year. It's super soft, and I love it.

Belt: Fendi
I couldn't for the life of me find a plain brown belt this morning. I know I own one. Probably more than one. Who knows where they are hiding. This one is doing the job though.

Jeans: Hudson
Wish these were a size bigger... It was a workout getting in there. Hope I can get back in after I use the ladies room later.... Wish me luck.

Shoes: Kensie
So several years ago there was this website called Little Black Bag. You would buy an item and it would come with one or two other surprise items. Then you had a certain amount of time that you could trade items with other users. Or you could just ship what you bought. Whatever you wanted. It was a lot of fun, and I was able to make some pretty great trades. But eventually they went out of business. I snagged these shoes in their closing sale for $5. They're actually really nice, leather even! I love the horse bits on them too. Anyway, it was a good deal. But I still miss that site, it was really fun!

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is in charge of tech today. Fitbit in the leopard band and the apple watch.

Righty:
Righty is wearing a stack from Rustic Cuff. Perfectly matched buckle bracelet and wrap bracelet!

And that's it for today! Any favorites? I mean, probably the boots... Thoughts on animal prints? I think they're having a moment right now personally. Or maybe it's just me.

Thursday's Threads: Retro Pop Culture edition

Outfit Day already?! I kind of lost track of time again (sorry) and forgot to take outfit photos last night. But I do have flat Stacie photos of last night's riding outfit, so that will have to do... We'll start there.
It was pretty mild here yesterday, with highs reaching 50, and it wasn't too bad last night either. So not too many layers required! That's coming to an end though. Tonight is supposed to be 18 overnight, and weather is coming on Saturday. I guess it is still winter after all!

Helmet: One K
Recycled photo... I haven't been very good about bringing fun stuff over to the barn to wear. This guy has been my go to most of the winter.

Top: Friends
I'm not positive where I got this Friends sweatshirt. But I love the show, and am happy to represent some pop culture from my younger years!

Belt: Mane Jane
I wore this with the black side out and the gun metal buckle.

Breeches: RJ Classics
These look kind of tan against the wood floor, but they're actually a light gray. You've seen them before, I actually wear them often.

Boots: DeNiro
Another recycled photo. So mayday guys.... the zipper is breaking on right boot already. My blue ones haven't done that, and I think maybe it's a defect and hopefully not indicative of De Niro quality.... I need to get an email off to see what I can do. I haven't had these all that long!

So that's what I wore to ride last night, but I have a fun leopard outfit on at work today!
It's kind of 80's tastic isn't it?! Ha!

Top: H&M
A few years ago Marc Jacobs did a collab with MTV and had a sweater similar to this one with the retro logo. I couldn't drop that kind of money on something so ridiculous, but I discovered that H&M had done a similar collab at some point. I found this sweater on Poshmark and maybe did a  little happy dance.

Belt: Mane Jane
Purple belt strap to match my purple sweater.

Jeans: Unionbay
Nothing special about these blue jeans. Just stretchy and well... blue!

Shoes: Miz Mooz
I saw these on Zulily awhile back and HAD to have them. I knew I had tops to match, and I just couldn't resist the pink leopard and the purple starburst on the side. They're amazing.

Purse: Marc Jacobs
So funny story about this bag. A few years back I was shopping at the fancy outlets with my dad and stepmom. We saw these AMAZING Marc Jacobs bags in the store, and they were marked down 85%. Making them still kind of stupid pricey cause Marc Jacobs, but my stepmom was drooling over them. (I think the other one was pastel animal prints.) My dad loves a good bargain, so he treated us each to one. And that's how I got it. And I think it's pretty amazing.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty kept it classy today with just the Fitbit and the apple watch.

Righty:
Righty however, not so classy... I'm sure it shocks exactly no one that I happened to have a pink leopard bracelet to match. And then these two shades of purple are exactly the same shades that are in the sweater. Plus the lighter one matches the purple on the shoes. All three of these came from Rustic Cuff.

So that's what I'm wearing today (and last night). Any favorites? Thoughts on 80's and 90's pop culture references?

Thursdays Threads

Outfit Day! And a chilly one at that. It dropped down into the 40's last night. Nuts. I'm not ready. Fortunately, this weekend will be back in the 80's. Thank goodness. Anyway, let's start with last night's riding outfit, shall we?

I kept it in my barn colors last night. Since I only rode Shiny, she didn't participate in outfit date. Though her pad that will match this outfit should be arriving in a few weeks!

Helmet: Charles Owen AYR8
Greenie! Still going strong. The One K's are cooler when it's hot, but clearly that's not an issue anymore.

Sweatshirt: Teespring
I accidentally found myself on Teespring one day and made up this sweatshirt. I must have been feeling particularly angsty that day about my riding... I slapped my logo on the back for fun too.

Belt: Boy O'Boy Bridleworks

I love my ribbon belt! Boy O'Boy is helping to raise some funds for Kevin Babbington right now. She made up both the stirrup belt and the regular one, plus some key chains and browbands. All the proceeds will go to Kevin and his family while they navigate their future after his accident in the Hamptons. Head on over there if you'd like to make a purchase!

Breeches: Tailored Sportsman
I'm am honest girl... to a fault. I pulled these right out of the dirty laundry pile to wear. Yep, I did!

Socks: Swanky Saddle
Logo all my socks please.

Boots: Fama 4 All
Spurs: Color Tack
I still think these are amazing. Do I wish the leather was a little nicer now that I'm spoiled by the Celeris? Sure. But still. These are awesome.

So that's what I rode in last night, and here's what I have on at work today:

Sweater weather. Gross.

Sweater: Ellen Tracy
The lighter colors make it feel less wintry, don't you think?

Belt: Swanky Saddle
It's been awhile since I've worn the hologram unicorn! Love it on this pink belt strap.

Jeans: True Religion
This kind of medium wash is one of my favorite denim colors.

Shoes: Sperry
It might be sweater weather, but I still can't bring myself to wear socks. Anyway, these are a really pretty light pink like the sweater, but they photographed kind of funny. I thought the color blocking on these was fun with the sweater.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is in charge of tech today, donning the apple watch AND the Fitbit. (Side note, C4 is going to be making bands for the apple watch. That sounds like trouble for my wallet.) The other two bracelets are from Rustic Cuff. A little bundle of seed bead bracelets and a larger stretch one.

Righty:
Righty is also sporting a Rustic Cuff stack. I loved the green and pink ones in the middle so much, I paid retail for them! Can you imagine?! I never pay retail.

And that's it for today! Any favorites? How's the weather where you are?

Thursday's Threads

Outfit day! And I actually DID get to ride last night (stepmom ran out of time, yippee for me!) so I have a riding outfit to share. We can start there!

I should have grabbed a photo, but I got a new half pad to try for Eros, and it matched these breeches exactly. It's this one, in the peacock, in case you're curious. I was going to get black, but I figured since I'm not sure whether or not I'll like it, I should try the cheapest option first. Jury is out. He was kind of sassy last night, and I don't know if I can blame the pad or just a mood? Will have to use it a bit more and see. Anyway... back to outfits!

Helmet: One K Defender snakeskin black
Recycled photo... I forgot to snap one last night.

Top: Beval
Awhile back Beval had these sunshirts on sale really cheap, so I got a few. It's your typical sunshirt. I like that they aren't too tight and clingy.

Belt: Mane Jane
I went with the black belt strap and the gunmetal buckle for this outfit.

Breeches: Horseware
I feel like the fit on Horseware breeches is totally hit or miss. Some fit amazingly well (like this pair and the corduroy ones) and others run really small and awkward in places. This is the former though, and I really like them! Especially the teal color.

Boots: Regal Patent
I tried on like four pair of boots for this outfit before settling on the old standby. The first two I couldn't zip... (Um. My name is Stacie and I'm a snack-a-holic. Please send help.) The next pair was brand new and I couldn't do it. (Before you get too excited, I've had them for a year, I just haven't worn them yet.) And then I was going to do the Celeris again, but my ankles begged me not to yet. (Gotta rest the battle wounds sometimes.) So I settled for the old comfy pair. They actually look pretty good with the outfit though, so probably should have just done that from the start and saved the depression over the tight boots. Oh well, live and learn.

So that's what I rode in last night! Now on to my work outfit today, where the theme is powder pink. Alternate title, sometimes I dress like a six year old.
It's cold and dreary today. Like high is maybe 50 and rain on and off for the rest of my life for the next several days. So I needed something warm, but I couldn't bear to return to winter wear.

Sweater: Vince Camuto
Nordstrom Rack had a big clearance sale a few weeks ago, and let's just say my closet did well but my wallet not so much... I loved this pale pink sweater though, and the super cheap price tag was of no help in the not shopping department. It's ridiculously soft and cozy. Perfect for a day like today.

Belt: Mane Jane
I'm so glad I finally got this pale pink belt strap. I've already worn it a ton. And the gunmetal buckle has been getting a lot of use too. It's perfect with the sweater. Pretty much matches the stripes exactly.

Jeans: True Religion
It's tough to photograph, but these jeans have a pink wash over them. You can probably see it best in the full outfit photo above. I think they're super fun. I was worried it might be TOO MUCH pink, but it's pretty subtle in the pants, so it's working.

Shoes: Diba True
I discovered this shoe brand on Zulily a few years ago, and I really love a lot of their stuff. I'm not sure if they're expensive out in the real world, but on Zulily the prices are great, and the shoes are real leather. Thus high quality, low price tag. My favorite combo! I LOVE these slip ons, they are white underneath with a light coating of metallic rose gold. Super fun!

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is donning this cute leather bangle from Rustic Cuff along with a dainty rose gold flower bracelet from Pura Vida. Along with my trust watch of course.

Righty:
I've really jumped hard on the rose gold bandwagon lately... Whatever, it's pink and metallic and those are a few of my favorite things! The first one I put together myself. I love those little rearing ponies! The next one is housing my Fitbit. And the last one is a strap I cut to fit that rose gold clasp from Hermes.

And that's it for today! Do you have any favorites? Opinions on rose gold? What are you wearing?
