Thursday's Threads

Outfit day! Woohoo! I'll start with my riding outfit, cause I think it was pretty cute.
It was super muggy yesterday, so tech fabric shirts are the only way to go!

Helmet: One K
I almost went with brown boots and helmet, but my ankles were super swollen yesterday and I wasn't so sure the brown boots would go on. So I went with blast instead. The rose gold on the helmet matched my belt buckle, so it totally worked anyway.

Top: Ronner Design
I can't resist a good Ronner sale. It's my kryptonite. So when I saw this tech fabric tee ON SALE with tan ponies sporting green saddle pads (yeah I don't really get it either...) I had to have it.

Belt: Mane Jane
I paired the tee with my champagne colored Mane Jane strap and rose gold buckle.

Breeches: Ariat
It's almost like these breeches were made for this tee... or maybe the other way around? Not sure. I'm a fan of Ariat breeches, especially when they're basically my barn colors.

Boots: Patent Regals
As I mentioned, my ankles were pretty swollen yesterday (apparently this happens to me in the summertime now. gross.) so I went with my Regals. They are the most forgiving.

So that's what I wore last night to ride! And here's what I'm donning at work today:
Lemons! What's more refreshing on a hot day then lemons? Ha!

Top: Modcloth
Also a sale item, but from Modcloth not Ronner. I dunno, I thought it was cute. The sleeves have adorable little ties on them.

Belt: Tory Burch

I wasn't really sure what to wear for a belt with this, so I figured gold is basically a neutral. It works!

Jeans: True Religion
I was thinking I wanted lighter jeans today, but when I paired them with this top it was a mess. These darker ones are perfect!

Shoes: Lulu Hun
These were also in the sale section at Modcloth. I'm not sure I would have gotten the shirt if I hadn't seen these too... I think they're adorable!

Accessories!
Purse: Golden Tote (I think)
I've had this beaded clutch awhile so I'm not 100% sure I got it from Golden Tote. But I'm pretty sure I did? It's perfect with the sandals as the tan part of them is very similar to the burlap on here.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is donning my fitbit in the plain rubber band, one of my favorite Hermes bracelets, and the apple watch.

Righty:
Righty is donning an Hermes stack which I got second hand. I thought they were the same color, but they're clearly not... Oops.

And that's it for today! Any favorites? Any advice for swollen ankles?

Thursday's Threads

Outfit day!!! And... it's raining. AGAIN. 40 days and 40 nights it feels like. Sheesh. But it did stop long enough yesterday for me to ride Shiny (Pammon got a light lunge) so I do have a riding outfit to share! We can start there.
I've been donning a lot of purple lately. What can I say? Shiny looks ADORABLE in purple.

Helmet: One K
I bought this awhile ago, but haven't actually worn it till now. It's meant to go with my next pair of Celeris. (Shut up. Don't judge me.) I think it's pretty fun!

Shirt: Kastel
So, the story here is that I needed new nameplates for my brush boxes for the new horses. And Dover was the only place that still had the size and shape that I needed. And right on the front page of the website they had these Kastel shirts on bogo. So I got this one, and one with green trim. Cause I'm a sucker. But I like the shirts, and they go with my breeches, so I guess it's ok.

Belt: Mane Jane
Awkward angle here... sorry about that. This is the purple croc strap with the gold buckle. The reverse of this one is green croc. Ugh, I just love these belts! You're all probably tired of them, but #sorrynotsorry cause it's my blog! Ha!

Breeches: Um...
I'm embarrassed to admit, I can't remember what brand these are. They're one of the European brands. Maybe HKM, but I don't really think so... Ugh. Sorry. They're awesome though, and I wish I had them in more colors.

Boots: Stivali Romitelli
Spurs: Colortack
I actually took the spurs off because Princess Sassy Pants hates spurs. But I figured I'd leave them on for the photo. I still love these boots, but I really wish I hadn't messed up the height measurement. They are SO short. Someday maybe I'll try and sell these and buy them again at the correct height. Regardless of that issue though, these boots are really wonderful. They're soft and comfortable and I just love the colors.

So that's what I wore riding last night, and here's what I wore to work!

Semi-classy, right?

Top: Ronner Design
Technically, this is a show shirt. But the necks on these are a little too big for me, so I just wear them as regular shirts. Ronner is stupid expensive. They are! I admit it. But I've been able to find them on sale a few times, and to be real with you, they're totally worth full price even. They wash and dry and come out looking brand new every time. The fit is incredible, and the fabrics are lovely. Highly recommend.

Belt: Mane Jane
I love this birch tree effect on this one. I couldn't decide what belt to wear, and then saw this one and thought it looked fun with the top.

Jeans: Lucky Brand
Nothing special about these at all. Just a plain ole' pair of blue jeans. Comfy and classic!

Shoes: Tommy Hilfiger
It's raining so I figured rubber shoes were a good call. I've had these forever! I snagged them years ago at DSW in the clearance section. They're fabulous, you can just hose them right off! I think the zipper detail is cute, and the little pop of blue makes them fun.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is donning the old faithful stack: My Hermes bit bracelet and my trusty apple watch

Righty:
Righty is wearing the full cheek bracelet, along with my fitbit, and then the two cuffs I have from Swanky Saddle. I was going for a bridle theme here obviously! It would have been better minus the fitbit probably.

And that's it for today! Any favorites? What are you wearing? Raining there too?

Thursday's Threads

I'm hanging my head in shame... I completely forgot to take riding outfit photos yesterday, so I have only a work outfit to share this time. So sorry friends! BUT my work outfit is equine themed, so hopefully that makes up for my error some.
You also can't really tell it's equine themed from this photo... but bear with me, you'll see! (Side note: see the SUN pouring in?! I'm soaking it in, because it's leaving soon and the rain comes back tomorrow.)

Tops:
Shirt: Ronner Designs
Cardigan: Sweet Rain

See it now?! My Ronner shirt is horsey! I can't condone paying full price for the Ronner stuff, but it IS gorgeous. And the quality seems to be there. They had a 60% off clearance a few months ago, so I snagged a couple shirts and a raincoat. These sweaters are interesting too. I had gotten one years ago from Modcloth, and really loved it. So when I saw they had them on sale for $15 I ordered a couple new colors. But they aren't the same as the old one. These are longer, which I actually really like, but the material isn't as nice. It's kind of stiff and says dry clean only. Yuck.

Belt: Mane Jane
I finally got myself a second Mane Jane buckle. My old one was scratched beyond belief, and I had been eyeing the new rose gold ones. No regrets! It's really pretty!

Jeans: Vero Moda
I snagged these at Marshall's from the clearance rack for $14. They're ankle length, which may be a tiny bit short for the shoes I paired them with, but whatever. I like the side detailing, and the cutout part around the ankle. You'll see that better in the next photo.

Shoes: Steven by Steve Madden

I've had these booties for a few years now, and I really love them. The gray color goes with so much, and they're super comfy. I feel like they're still fairly stylish too. Which is nice because I don't plan to retire them anytime soon.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is donning a dainty bit bracelet I found on Poshmark, along with a mantra bangle... I think this one came from KJ's Creations. It says, "survey says... ADD LEG" which is really appropriate to my current riding state. I've recently concluded that my left leg has not yet come off hiatus...

Righty:
Righty is wearing a really neat horse bracelet that I found on Ebay. It's gold (colored, not solid) and the eyes are green rhinestones. I often find rhinestone eyes to be really creepy, but these aren't somehow. The next one is my #backyardbarn mantra bracelet (KJ's Creations), and the last is from HKM.

That's it for today! Sorry it's so short. I'm going to have to start photographing random riding outfits so I have an archive available for days like this... Any favorites from today? Do you have anything from Ronner? Get anything new I might need to have?

Truthful Tuesday

Today's confession: I wore a show shirt to work yesterday. On purpose!

I've been drooling over the products from Ronner Designs for awhile now, but their price tag is not in my range. So when I saw that Mary's Tack and Feed had some of their shirts on sale... well you better believe I tossed one of those in my cart immediately.
But here's the thing... I chose a show shirt. I haven't really shown in three years. (Other than that Alumni class a few weeks back!) And when I do show, I wear plain white 98% of the time. The shirt I chose has horses on it. So I wasn't completely sure I'd want to show in it. I WAS however, completely sure I didn't want to wait until forever to wear it.
The shirt arrived Saturday, and I LOVED it! But (there's always a but), the collar is really big on it. Like it looks kind of ridiculous on my skinny giraffe neck big. But the shirt itself? GORGEOUS. I love the fabric. It's a bit heavy so wouldn't be a great summer show shirt, but it is an active type material. The cuffs and collar have a gorgeous striped pattern on them. It's seriously SO nice! I paid around $80 for it, which isn't cheap by any means, but reasonable for a show shirt anyway. Maybe a little too high for a work shirt... but I'm in love with it. Anyway, I've decided it won't be a show shirt, but I do plan to wear it as a regular shirt lots. Without further ado... Here it is:

Do you have anything from Ronner? Have you worn a show shirt for non-show purposes?
