Truthful Tuesday

 

Happy New Year all! Hope you are off to a great start to the new year. Apologies for skipping Thursday's Threads last week, but I figured no one cared that much about my vacation wear. I'll be back this week with... something. Which leads to my confession today. 

I've been home since (VERY late) Saturday night, and I've done nothing but some grooming with my horses. The day I flew out, we got 10 inches of snow at the farm. (That wasn't stressful at all...) And then a couple more storms with just an inch or two. So that means the ring is covered. This week we're expecting a January thaw though, so I'm kind of focusing on other things while the ring defrosts. Like the utter mess my barn was. My helper as I've mentioned whined about before hasn't been living up to his past self in the cleaning department, and my horse sitter did her best, but she's not used to the routine here. So the place needed some TLC. And TLC it's gotten! 

Dedicated three hours to this floor today

I do plan to take the horses out for some kind of enrichment tomorrow. Whether it's mounted or in hand remains to be seen, but we'll have fun regardless! So that's my confession. My horses probably think they've abruptly retired.
