I'm back! Did you miss me? It was a busy week with a few long nights, and that means I have a couple of really silly things to share with you guys. Oddly enough, both happened after I finally had a full nights sleep which just goes to show that I really do function at my best with a mild case of sleep deprivation.
The first silly thing I did happened yesterday morning. I went to bed Sunday around 10 and Rita and I woke up around 7 so it was a really full night of sleeping for the both of us. But I think I must have still been sleeping when I fed Rita. She won't eat kibble so her food is canned. And since she's a teeny tiny doggo a can is four meals for her. I have these silicone lids for her food to keep it covered and fresh in the refrigerator. So yesterday morning I feed the dog, and use up the can evidently. But you know what I did? I put the lid back on the empty can and put it back in the fridge. Had no idea until I went to feed dinner and the can was empty. I mean, I had more food, so it was no big deal, but how silly?!
The second one happened today. Al was feeling a certain sort of way because he didn't work enough last week and Autumn has arrived here all of a sudden too. Which no biggie, he let me know his feelings and rather than argue about it, I let him blow off some steam on the lunge line. Well, he lets out this big buck (which surprised me, he's not much of a bucker) and kicked the top board of my ring right in half! Impressive. Perhaps he's trained in the martial arts? So anyway, I had to replace the board. I successfully removed the broken board no problem. Important to note, my boards are composite so they are screwed on to wood posts rather than nailed on. Which honestly, it's a lot easier to use a drill than a hammer, so yay for that. Anyway I digress, I got the broken board unscrewed and removed. Then I go to screw the new board on, and I cannot get the stupid screw to go through! Tried a different screw even. Guys. Know why it wouldn't go in? Cause my drill was still set to back out a screw not screw one back in. Lol. Sheesh. It's a good thing no one was here to witness that. How embarrassing! And thankfully I figured it out in a fairly reasonable amount of time. Still though. I'm blaming the lack of sleep from the weekend.
Any of you guys do anything this brilliant lately? Come on... admit it! No? Just me? Okay then...
