It's stupid cold here, so I rode yesterday and gave the horses today off. (They'll get tomorrow too.) But I decided to be very productive and clean all of my tack that's at the boarding barn currently. That's two saddles, six bridles, a martingale and two sets of draw reins.The saddles got cleaned and a healthy coating of conditioner. Everything else got cleaned and some oil. Very productive. But that's not my confession. My confession is that whilst engaged in said tack cleaning, I managed to spill an entire bucket of water all over the tack room floor.
Our tack room has saddle racks and bridle hooks in the center of the room for tack cleaning. The room also triples as our lounge and viewing room for the indoor. So it's a lovely heated space. Perfect for cleaning tack. But boy did I feel like the worst boarder ever when I managed to dump all that water all over the floor. Thankfully no one was really there to see and I had it dried up quickly. Still though... leave it to clumsy ol' me to make such a mess!
