I was up early Friday morning to get the horses all set and to drop the pugs at their grandma's.
When I arrived at my dad's (we were carpooling to the airport) I was greeted by THIS adorable nugget:
My stepmom's niece had been staying with them for a few weeks, and while there, she got a puppy! Obviously I stole her for the plane ride.
The celebration was at Plum Bottom Farm. It's gorgeous there you guys.
They grow alfalfa there (and I wanted it...) but it had just been hayed, so the grass was short. Perfect timing for the celebration.
Friday was a free day, we arrived, saw the farm, and headed to the hotel for dinner. Nice quiet day before everyone arrived. Saturday was an all day affair. Kind of a meet and greet starting at 10, followed by a short service, lunch, some free time, dinner at 5, followed by a slideshow and sharing stories into the night.

dessert back at the barn! That's cherry pie in those jars. SO GOOD! |

We were flying back in the afternoon, so Sunday we went into town for breakfast and did a little shopping. Plum Bottom Farm is in Door County, which is a touristy area along Green Bay. Cherries is the big thing there this time of year, and lucky for us, there were cherries everywhere! We didn't pick our own, but we did stock up on cherry flavored goodies. If you ever find yourself near cherry salsa, eat it. It's amazing. Trust me. Obviously, we stopped to pick up some cheese too. But alas, I couldn't find a cheese hat anywhere. Boo.
Also boo? We got rear ended leaving the market.
Nothing too bad thankfully though, and we were on our way more or less on time.
I got home later than I expected because, well... maybe I forgot about the time change ok? Oops. It wasn't crazy late, just later than I planned. Which meant no time for riding. Bummer. The horses were just as happy to get fed though. And the pups were even more happy to be home I'm sure.
I did get to ride each day after work this week so far. Tonight is up in the air as storms are in the forecast.
I gave Pammon a lunge Monday before climbing on. Glad I did! He was a freshy pants! But was perfect as always after that. Shiny was quiet as can be since that's how she rolls. Nothing too exciting to report otherwise.
How was your week/weekend? Do any traveling? Showing? Lessons? Tell me all about it in the comments!
