What's Up Wednesday!

I managed to ride almost every day last week! It's been busy, but so much fun. The horses have even kind of behaved... Kind of. Before I delve into the day by day recap, I have to blurt out my HUGE news. Well huge to me. Maybe not to anyone else. If you follow me in Instagram, you already know...
On Sunday, I RODE RIO!!!!!!!!
Best view in the world. Haven't seen it in two years!
 It was glorious.

Seriously. The best day of my life thus far. After nearly losing him almost two full years ago, (see this post, then this one, this one, and this one) I never thought I'd get to sit on him again. We didn't do much, just a few laps at the trot each direction. But we're going to do it again soon! And maybe one day we'll even canter. We'll see. He's not completely sound. But I'll have the vet see if it's just due to his handicaps, or if it's something we can help him with. He was just as excited as I was to ride together. Though he was probably more excited to eat grass afterwards. Either way, it was a great day for the both of us!

Ok, so backing up...  I rode Jamp and Romey pretty much everyday since last week's What's Up Wednesday. Right up until this week anyway. Monday I planned a day off for them all, because it was time and it was pouring all day. It stopped by the time I got home from work, but the ring was all puddles. I couldn't ride last night either because the wind was blowing at 25 mph and well... my horses don't really do that.

I don't know what is happening inside Jamp's little brain, but he's so edgy lately! He's not wild. I've tried lunging him to get the cuckoo out, but there really isn't much there. Regardless, every ride he's ridiculously spooky. Scoots at everything! I was heading to some trot poles on Saturday when he scooted right in front of them!
See that big footprint at the bottom of the photo?! That's where he decided to run! Sometimes he makes terrible life choices. He then stopped in front of the trot poles and proceeded to bounce through them. What a child. Eventually he behaved himself through there. Eventually. It's a good thing he's so handsome. Sunday I was hoping to jump him, but he was completely ridiculous. I decided to compromise and just jump this tiny x:
Does that even qualify as a jump? I'm not really sure. Romey has been trotting over that single pole and the little raised one to the left of the x. Canter still needs work. Lots of work. And maybe my trainer. Can't wait until she and GTO come home! I have one more visit in the works before then though...
This was the first weekend the boys could head out and enjoy some after work grass. They were pretty happy about it!

The puggers got to go for a nice long walk on Sunday. Artie was so excited to go, he could hardly contain himself!

They crack me up these two. On the way out they're pulling me along so excited, but by the half way point they start meandering around smelling this and that. Totally making excuses to slow their pace and catch their breath. They don't understand about pacing themselves and not going out too fast too early! Beginners... haha!

I had a braiding job Friday night after riding, but I'm going to write a separate post on that. It was a challenge though! Here's a sneak peak:

Are you guys sitting down? I did something crazy the other night! I cooked dinner! Like real food. Veggies, rice, chicken. I used a Thai peanut sauce marinade and even crushed some peanuts for garnish (and extra deliciousness). It's so rare that I cook a real meal. I had to share!
YUMMMMMMMMMMMMM!
And that's what's up this Wednesday! What's up with you? Have you been riding? Running? (Nope, not me.) Cooking? Tell me what's up with you in the comments!

Truthful Tuesday

I went on an egg hunt of sorts last night... Being Jewish, I called it a Jewish egg hunt. Because you know, it's the day after Easter, and everything is half off! I can't even tell you about my confession though... I just have to show you:
Yeah. I found some Cadbury eggs. I promise only one (or maybe two) a day. This may in fact be why I'm no longer anywhere close to 110 lbs. Whatever. They're delicious.

Nicole's Creations: January, February, and March

http://www.nicolescreations.net/
Rather than do individual posts to catch up, I'm throwing three months worth of Nicole's Creations at you all at once! Hope you're ready to be jealous of my pretty new bracelets! But first... the details.
For those not in the know, Nicole's Creations offers a monthly subscription service that delivers handmade jewelry to your door each month. There are two options, $10 per month or $20. I went with the less expensive option, and let me tell you, I get MORE than my moneys worth. Not only do I receive beautiful hand made items each month, but Nicole pops over here to the blog to see what my style is currently. I love that she takes the time to personalize the sub for me.
Ok, down to business. Here's what I received in January:

And indvidually:

As always, the bracelets are sized PERFECTLY for me. They are so well made, and beautiful! They look fantastic alone, but I love that they stack together too.
On to February!
February is my anniversary month with Nicole's Creations! Nicole is so sweet she gave me a bonus bracelet to celebrate! Here is everything up close:

I love the green she used! It was perfect for St Patty's day, and for any day really. The bead on that chain bracelet is so beautiful, I couldn't get a photo to do it any justice. You'll just have to trust me. Here they are all stacked together:

And last but most definitely not least... March!
If you follow me on Instagram (you really ought to...) you saw a sneak peak of these already. I can't believe Nicole stumbled across the charms! I'm so excited she got them for me! I seriously love these bracelets... Dare I say it? I think these may be my favorite so far. Because I was rushing, and didn't photo with my normal black background the color isn't showing accurately here. These are kind of a mossy green and beige not gray and white like they appear. SO PRETTY! I love all the greens. All of them!
Let's look closer:

Obviously these can stand alone or even match up with some gold bangles. But they look amazing together too:
I'm so impressed with the fit of all the bracelets from the last three months. Well no. All the months ever really. Nicole is amazing at her craft. Every piece is so unique and gorgeous.

I say it every month (literally), but I'm really impressed with how Nicole personalizes this subscription. She does a great job designing pieces she knows I will love. Not only that, but she's such an artist! Everything is extremely well made and fits PERFECTLY!

What do you think of my new bracelets from Nicole? Which is your favorite? Have you tried out the sub yet? If you would like to try it, or even just browse the shop online, head over here to see what Nicole's Creations is all about!

Thursdays Threads!

Outfit day!!!!! I'm trying really hard to think Spring today. Yesterday was 65 degrees and the sun even made an appearance! Totally spring right? Well.... today is overcast and 45. So no. But I'm bringing my own spring today... and a few layers.
Hope you all are ready for Mint season... because I totally am.

Top: Chance or Fate

I found this at Marshalls when I was in Florida. I love that it has just a little mint around the pockets and the neckline. It also has a little in the back! I love that detail back there.
Since it's freezing out, I added a thermal top underneath. Because while I can pretend it's spring out... I don't want to get hypothermia.

Pants: Mavi
I got these from a Moxie.Style sale and I LOVE THEM!!! I also got them in pink. Because why not? They are ankle length and fit me perfectly.

Belt: Harry Potter

I mean... who doesn't need a seatbelt with Harry Potter headlines around their waist? Everyone needs that. Trust me.

Shoes: Roxy
These are felt with a fuzzy lining, and are basically like wearing slippers with a sole. I wish I knew where to find them in every color.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Now that lefty sports this big apple watch, it mostly keeps things simple with just one small something.. Today it's from Nakamol. Once again, a purchase from the late Little Black Bag. RIP Little Black Bag. I still miss you. Terribly.

Righty:
The adorable little mint bracelet with gold bead is from Ettika. And to be honest, I can't remember where that large chain and ribbon bracelet came from. I have been racking my brain all morning. And I have nothing for you. But it's very well made, and I love the colors!

I remembered to model last night's riding outfit too! It was a pretty casual evening.
Also, I didn't remember until the end of the night so I'm completely filthy and sweaty. Cute right?

Sweatshirt: Nantucket
I picked this up a couple of years ago when I went to Nantucket with my family. I hope we get to go this summer too! We have a house there, but it's a rental, so we only get to use it on the off season or if one of our tenants cancels.

Breeches: Smartpak Piper
Yay for piping! Smarkpak just revamped their line and I may or may not have ordered a pair of the new latex grip breeches.... And by that I mean I did. But they were 20% off! But I digress... I like these piper breeches. They are pilling some, and I'm not sure how long they will last, but they are really comfortable, and I love the pop of color.

Belt: LV
Maybe it's from ebay... Maybe it's real. Who knows?

You're probably wondering when I'm going to wear my fun brown boots, or the awesome croco ones I got recently... And the answer is soon! But I'm trying to feel confident that my horses are not plotting my murder before I try and break in boots.

So that's what I'm wearing today! What do you have on? Any favorites from today's post?
