Outfit Day! And I'm tardy again. I was busy trying to decide which instant camera to get for the Photo Booth at Rio's birthday. Also, I am going to be really poor after this. I hope he appreciates it! Anyway, I was able to "ride" (I use that term loosely) last night so I have a riding outfit and a very casual work outfit for you today. We'll start with riding since that happened first.
So I have this new phone. And it takes LIVE photos! They're super creepy. If you touch the screen the photo actually shows me moving. Very Harry Potter. It won't work through the blog though so stop touching your screen. You know you tried it. Admit it. Anyway, here's what I wore last night up close!
Top: Under Armor
Oldie but goody! I really like Under Armour apparel, but not really the price tag. We have an outlet nearby so I've managed to score some deals at least.
Breeches: Smartpak
These are the new Piper breeches from Smartpak. They just arrived while I was in Florida, and I couldn't wait to try them out. I like them well enough. Don't love, but definitely like. They do that falling down thing that Equine Couture breeches do to me. But it's mostly just when I'm not on a horse. So I guess that's not so important? It's still kind of annoying though. They may get better once I wash them. The other Pipers I have did. Also, look how close the sweatshirt color is to the piping! Impressive!
Ok, on to my very casual work outfit:
I'm trying to think Spring with a little powder pink today!
Top: American Eagle Outfitters
I love that the gold is sparkly on here, but not in your face sparkly. Just enough. Also, how pretty is powder pink and gold?
Jeans: Wallflower
I found these on Zulilly a few weeks ago for super cheap and was excited to get them. They are reminiscent of some jeans I had in college, which makes me wonder if they're actually in style? But then also, I don't really care if they are or not, because they are awesome. They're super comfy, and fit perfectly. Not too long, not too tight. Just right. Ahhhh magic pants!
Belt: Mane Jane
I wore my gold Mane Jane belt strap today with the logo buckle. I seriously can't get enough of these belts. Go order one! GO! Sorry. Didn't mean to get pushy.
Shoes: Sperry Top Sider
Aren't these adorable? Metallic powder pink boat shoes! I got them several years ago in the kids section. They're the best.
Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty has some adorable bangles I found on Etsy up first. The pug bracelet cost me an arm and a leg, but it was totally worth it. The underside has Live*Love*Bark etched on it. So cute. The horsey wasn't too pricey, and is equally adorable. And of course you'll recognize my apple watch.
Righty:
Righty stacked them high today! First up is a stretch bracelet I made using real stone beads. I love the pink and bronze together. Next is a friendship bracelet from Nicole's Creations, followed by one from Nakamol. And last is an Hermes inspired ebay special which I love because GLITTER!
And that's what I'm wearing today! What do you have on? Have you tried the new SmartPak breeches yet?

Thursday's Threads: Rio's Birthday Edition
First things first... Today is Rio's 19th birthday! A day to celebrate for sure. Sadly, his cake isn't arriving until tomorrow... but what can you do? That's ok, Friday's are better for celebrating anyway.
Ok, now we can get down to business. Since I ran this morning, I'm going to share my running outfit AND my work outfit again. Let me know in the comments if you enjoy seeing both, or if you prefer one or the other....
Also, I feel it's important to note (no it's really not, but I'm going to anyway) that it was 38 degrees for this run. Where is spring?!
ROOTD:
I feel like this crazy outfit hides my chub. I'm not sure how, but I'll take it!
Wait till you see those tights up close!
Top: American Eagle
Admittedly, I bought this in the wrong size. It's an XS and really I could have used a small. But it's not too tight, so I don't mind. I love that little stripe of turquoise along with the herringbone pattern. Definitely not your typical running shirt!
Shorts: Champion
Charcoal gray = they go with everything! Definitely was a good find.
Tights: Justice
Why yes, I DID buy these at the little girl's store. So what, they fit! And they have PUGS ON THEM!!!!! Best tights ever. Well... tied with the french fry ones anyway.
Sneaks: Mizuno
Yep, totally recycled the photo. My phone is out of space. I still love these shoes. So glad I have another pair for when these retire.
Obviously when running you should have some ID and also it's nice to have a gps to track your route and time. So here's my running arm candy:
Watch: Garmin
My brother gave me this watch a few years ago as a Chanukah present, and I love it! I do wish they had a better plug, it's tough to get all four prongs lined up just right to get it to charge. But other than that, it works great, and I'm happy with it. As you can see, we took our time and enjoyed the company on today's easy run.
ID Bracelet: Endvr
This is my second ID bracelet from Endvr. I also have a navy and pink one. I took a survey and got a 70% off coupon so figured I'd treat myself to this pretty one. The bracelet is a little different than Road ID in that it has a QR code on the underside. Anyone with a QR reader app can scan it and find out your necessary information. I like that I can record my allergies and my insurance on my profile so if something were to happen, I could be treated readily even if I wasn't able to communicate those things. And it's pretty! They have a few different styles, this is the most pricey. Check out the website if you're interested in one of these!
Work outfit:
In honor of Rio's birthday today I decided to wear a horsey theme. Though it's hard to see in the photo below, you'll see better in the close ups.
Top: Express
What's cuter than a pony print button down?! Um... Nothing. Nothing is cuter than that. Well, not much anyway. This was a Chanukah gift from one of my friends this year, and I've been dying for it to warm up enough to wear it! Today's the day!
Pants: Rue 21
These are oldies, you've seen them before. They're a bit tighter than I recall though... Must be the dryer. Ha.
Shoes: J Crew
I want to love these pony shoes. And I do... Just not wearing them. They're totally uncomfortable. But one must occasionally suffer for the sake of the pony.
Arm candy:
Left:
These don't really go with the outfit exactly... but I wore them for Rio's birthday! First is a pretty gold horse shoe from House of Harlow. Next is my Rio bracelet. This one has his name in black and gold beads, and all the clay beads mean something about him. Cookies and apples because he loves them and ribbons because he's a winner! Next is a stone bracelet that reads "Ontario" in gold letters. Ontario is Rio's registered name. And last of course is my watch.
Right:
Righty is a little classier. First is my one and only actual Chan Luu wrap bracelet. I love the chain on this one, so pretty! Next is the Rebecca Minkoff snap bracelet that my sister-in-law gave me for Chanukah. Definitely one of my most favorites!
That's what I'm wearing today! What are you wearing? Don't forget to let me know if you like seeing two outfits, or if I should keep it to just one. Happy Thursday!

Thursday's Threads
I've been super lazy this week about planning ahead with my outfits. It's been more of a mad scramble out of bed and throw on whatever is clean kind of week. I did however manage to at least match. Here's today's outfit:
Sweater and jeans is always a safe way to go in the winter time! (Please excuse my mountains of shoes in the background.) Let's look closer:
Sweater: American Eagle by way of TJ Maxx
I'm such a sucker for cable knit... I like the big cowl neck on this one, and it's loose boxy fit. Perfect for all the holiday goodies I've been packing into my belly!I love the marled pink and gray; makes it more fun than just a regular solid color. There's a chance if they still have them after the holidays that I may need this in another color...
Pants: Hot Kiss
I'm confident you've seen these before. They're a light gray denim with a distressed look to them. But NO HOLES! I don't really like the pre-ripped jeans. At least, not to wear to work. It's casual here, but I think that's probably taking it too far.
This color is perfect with the sweater as it makes the gray pop. Last time I wore this sweater with navy blue and it looked great, but I think it's better with the gray pants.
Boots: Sugar
These are a short boot, and truth is... They're from the kids department. I wear a size 6 which is the same as a children's 4. They are canvas with pink laces and pink elastic inserts on the sides. They go perfectly with the sweater! Perhaps too much gray on gray with the pants? I'm undecided there. But I think it works.
Arm candy:
Left is sporting my horse bracelet that you're going to get tired of soon. (Sorry, not sorry, I love this one!) Also a friendship bracelet, that I THINK might be Shashi, but honestly I'm not sure, and my trusty gold watch.
Righty has a friendship bracelet from Gypsies and Debutantes and a wrap bracelet from Zulilly.
Well that's it from here! What do you think? Too much pink? Too much gray? Just right? What are you wearing today?

Thursday's Threads
It's starting to get chilly here in New England! Yesterday it was a balmy 75 degrees, but this morning was barely 50 when I left for work. I decided to keep it casual (and warm!) today after having to dress nicely for an open house at work yesterday. (In other words, I wore heels all day and my feet hurt.)
Comfy, yet respectable. You really can never go wrong with a cable knit sweater and dark jeans.
Top: Ralph Lauren
I love this sweater. I have LOTS of Ralph Lauren cable knit sweaters (I live near the outlet!), but this one is my favorite. It's the prettiest mossy colored green, and the stripes make it feel more on trend than the traditional solid colors.
Jeans: American Eagle (via Marshalls)
It's possible you've seen these before. I can't remember. They have a slight boot cut to them, which was perfect for pairing with my cowgirl boots! I like the dark denim and that they have a tiny bit of stretch to them... They did seem a touch tighter than I recalled them being last time I wore them... Probably not the jeans fault though... Oops.
Cowgirl Boots: John Deere
These boots! They're actually from the kids collection. I love having small feet! Truth is, I bought these for riding Ducky with his western spurs. Only I didn't think that through all the way. Since I ride in an English saddle, cowgirl boots and jeans will not work! Ooops. But they are the cutest boots ever, so I don't mind just wearing them for everyday life. The green in them matches so well with my sweater today! And I love pink. So despite the poor planning in purchasing them, I'm confident they'll get a ton of use.
Belt:
I'm not sure of the brand on this one. I've had it a long time, and figured it was the perfect complement to my cowgirl boots today!
Jewels:
I figured it was time to dig out some oldies but goodies for today's arm candy. On Lefty is Jules Smith cuff bracelet that I got from Little Black Bag back in the day. (Yep, still miss that site.) Next is a custom bracelet with my name on it I got from Etsy. It's super delicate, so I try not to wear it too much. I don't want to break it! And you all recognize my watch by now.
Righty has another Etsy find up first. That stirrup is brass with a leather bracelet attached. So cute! Next is a horseshoe cuff from Sloane Ranger, and then a bit cuff from Baublebar.
So that's it for today! What are you wearing? Is it getting cold where you are?
