Truthful Tuesday

Phew. Today's confession? It's been really busy around here, and I'm feeling a little stressed out. Mostly good things of course, it's just that it all seems to he happening at once.
Not sure if you've all heard about the tariffs being placed on imports from China, but many of the products my company sells come from China. The tariffs went into effect with only 8 days notice. Meaning that product we ordered three months ago which are first hitting port now, have a 10% tariff applied to them. Meaning, we have to raise our prices immediately. So yeah. That's fun. Customers love that... Needless to say, work is nuts. (That's the one not so good thing.)
On the bright side, I have lots of fun riding stuff to do. I've got Eddie, and we have a new unicorn in the works for the family horse! And of course I have the old men at home. The only down side is trying to fit it all in.
Long story not all that short, blog posts might be on the late side this week, and I'm getting behind on keeping up with all of you! But things will calm down soon I'm sure. I just love having a schedule, and being off it makes me feel unsettled.
Do you thrive on having a schedule or do you prefer organized chaos? Any tips on how to manage horses in three locations and a full time job?

    1. Fortunately, the three barns are all really close together. Eddie lives about a quarter mile up the road from me (literally on the same road) and the boarding barn is like 3 miles away. But it's definitely still a challenge! I wish work was closer.

  2. Oh you girl are superwoman for keeping up with all of that! I can barely handle my job, plus taking call on the weekends and ONE horse. Kudos to you! Such a bummer about those tariffs effecting your job/causing stress. I really feel for everyone negatively effected by them!

    1. I'm sure it's a lot harder having to be on call!
The tariffs are interesting because a lot of companies are just marking the price up to the customer 10% and are thus making more money off this thing. We're trying not to do that, to be fair to the customers. We're getting charged 10%, but we're trying to use that as the cost and keep the margins the same. Hopefully the customers see that and appreciate us for it!
