What's Up Wednesday!

Is it me, or does this Wednesday feel an awful lot like a Thursday or Friday? Gonna be a long week!
It's been a weird week around here with some crazy weather. Needless to say, I haven't been on a horse since I got back from Florida. But I did some stuff, so we have something to talk about at least.

Thursday it started to get really cold around here, and by Friday it was snowing. Which wouldn't have been a big deal except for that fact that I was still truckless. The good news was he had arrived at the dealership Thursday and I had wired all my money over. I was stranded working from home Friday morning since Betty (my car) doesn't do snow. And I got the call that Jorge was ready! Woohoo! And better still, they could come retrieve me to finish signing my life away all the paperwork. I was ridiculously excited to get my new toy. And even more excited that it had stopped snowing and the sun was out.

Jorge and my first picture together <3.
Sadly, once retrieving my new beast, I had to actually go to work. So lame. Saturday morning was cold and dreary. Snow was coming. And I had to do the unthinkable. Go to the grocery store the day of a snowstorm. The HORROR! Seriously. Thankfully it wasn't as bad as I expected. There was still food there. Once home with the groceries put away, I headed out to the barn to groom ponies for a few hours. Let me just tell you friends, heating my barn was the best thing I've ever done. I know I've said it before, but it's just really true. While it was a balmy 9 degrees outside, my barn held steady at 45. It was a little colder closer to the ground (the thermostat is pretty high up), but it was definitely comfortable.
I finished grooming everyone and cleaning up around 4 and decided to head back inside. We had about 7 inches of snow and it was still coming down, but was supposed to be stopping in the next couple of hours or so. I decided to take an hour to be lazy and warm up before heading back out to feed and shovel snow. The pugs approved of that decision.
They're like little space heaters
The rest of Saturday was completely uneventful. I shoveled snow, fed horses, and sat around with the pugs.
Sunday morning I was happy to see the plow had come, so I didn't have to shovel much else out. Yay! I had BIG plans for the day, so I was happy to not be all tired out from shoveling. One of my Chanukah presents from my sister-in-law was a ticket to see Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood Live with her, my niece, and the grandma's.

It was surprisingly cute, and my niece LOVED it! So cute to watch a little one at that stuff. Afterwards we stopped for some food and I ate enough nachos for pretty much everyone in blogland. Moo. No regrets.
And then it was back to work. Nothing too exciting this week except for my poor behavior with my credit card.

oops.

I woke up this morning to it being over 40 degrees out and pretty much all the snow was gone. That makes me very happy! Unfortunately, by the weekend when the ring might have dried out enough to ride, it will be below freezing again. Mother nature is the worst.

I think I'll just spend the weekend doing a lot of this with these guys:

And that's about all that's up with me this week. What's up with you?

    2. I can't claim credit on that one, I stole it from the Yankees when Jorge Posada was still playing.
