I very much need to stop buying stuff. I'm going to be in for a very rude awakening when my bill comes from the snow plow driver. Which I must tell you, is really frustrating considering he shows up whenever he feels like it, with no regard to my needing to leave the house at 8 AM. Or my worker needing to get in the driveway at 7 AM. But I digress.... Despite my needing to save some money, I also need to get back in shape and drop some pounds. So I made one last large purchase:
Yep, I bought a treadmill. A ProForm 505 CST Treadmill to be exact. It's nothing fancy. Probably wouldn't suit a very serious runner. But I think it will work just fine for me. Hopefully anyway. It's temporarily on sale from the manufacturer for $599. Marked down from $999. So that's a deal right there! On top of that, I got it from Target with my Target Credit Card, which means I saved an additional 5% plus got free shipping. Free shipping is kind of unheard of for an overweight item like this, so major score there! On top of all those savings, I clicked through to Target.com from Ebates, so I'll get 2.5% back. I could have gotten it through a few other web sites that would have gotten me more back from Ebates, but the transit time was a lot longer and/or I couldn't get the free shipping. When all is said and done, this baby will have set me back $554.82. Not terrible for a semi-decent treadmill delivered to my door! I have enough of my holiday bonus left to pay for it when the bill comes, so no interest charges either. Yay! But the real question is... will I admit on Truthful Tuesday in a few weeks to not using it?! I hope not! Time will tell. It should be arriving tomorrow, and I probably won't get it assembled for a day or two (I read it's a little time consuming, especially for one person), but hopefully by the weekend it will be up and running. Literally.
Anything you need to confess today?
And and and? You probably burned calories with all that clicking and saving! WINNING!
ReplyDeleteI confess that I didn't go to the gym yesterday because I didn't want to. How sad is that? So sad.
I also confess that I spent the majority of the past two days in PJs and in bed because little man wasn't feeling well and needed to rest. We watched movies and I read a lot. I'm good with that. ;)
You're right! And also they delivered it to the middle of the driveway... Getting it in the house was a good calorie burner too!
DeleteI hope little man is feeling better! Although I bet a little mom/son cuddle sesh is pretty great too :)
