Thursday's Threads: Ariat edition

Outfit Day! As you might have assumed, I do not have a riding outfit today, but I did wear an equestrian themed outfit to try and make up for that. So here's what I wore today:

So much Ariat. Ariat all over!

Sweater: Ariat
Shirt: Ariat

I had the bright idea to try layering this sun shirt under a sweater, and frankly, I'm not sure why I haven't done this sooner. It's super comfy and they look adorable together! Also, this sweater that looks boring is actually super cute with the yellow stitched elbow patches. It doesn't come with the dog hair though, my short kids added that for me.

Belt: Rebecca Ray

I thought a bit belt would work great with this theme, and was super excited when I remembered that the one I have is navy like the sweater.

Jeans: True Religion
These were a little bit of a fail. I pulled out like three options for jeans, and they were all ankle length. I didn't any more time to hunt down some appropriately long jeans, so I just stuck with these. They look a little silly, but whatever. I sit at a desk all day.

Shoes: Ariat Cruisers
They matched my shirt so I had to have them. Cruisers are really comfy, if you don't have a pair, definitely add them to your next birthday list.

Purse: Rebecca Ray
I snagged this purse during the holiday sales, and I have to tell you guys, I LOVE it. It was not cheap, and I was sure that I would be disappointed, but I'm totally not. It's canvas, but very sturdy, and the halter details are really thick and high quality. Huge fan.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
In keeping with the bit theme, I loaded up lefty with my most favorite bracelet I've ever gotten (the green bit one) and the tan bit bracelet that I made.

Righy:
Righty is donning some new additions. Whilst in Florida, I had a particularly good thrifting day on the interwebs one morning. I found this ADORABLE full cheek bracelet on Poshmark for half what the retail is. And it's basically brand new. Then, on Ebay, I discovered an Hermes bracelet like the one you guys all see all the time, but in gold tone. Had to have it. And they look perfect together! (Also, no more shopping for awhile.)

That's what I'm wearing today! Sorry for the lack of riding attire, but hopefully the fun bit theme is a suitable substitute. Any favorites from today? Do you have a pair of Ariat Cruisers?

Thursday's Threads

Happy Outfit day everyone! Lots of people are whining about it, but I'm still enjoying these hazy days of summer. It's been in the lower 90's, but I know what's coming so I'm not complaining. I really don't want the return of sub zero temps, ice, and snow. No thanks. Bring on the heat waves! Despite it being hot and summery out there, I still dressed for fall today. But before I get to that, I have a riding outfit AND a running outfit to share. It's a full post here today! We'll go in order of wearing, so I'll start with last night's riding outfit.
I was in a rush, so please excuse this super awkward pose. And lack of helmet. I try not to drive in it when I can remember!

Helmet: One K
This photo is fake news because I actually wore my black snakeskin one K, but I forgot to snap a photo. So please enjoy this photo of my new one.

T-shirt: No idea on brand
You all have seen this shirt before. It's probably my most favorite and most accurate shirt ever.

Belt: Mane Jane
This strap from Mane Jane matched the piping on these breeches PERFECTLY! Love me some Mane Jane. May or may not have one in the works to match my new helmet...

Breeches: Smartpak Piper
The color on these is more accurately represented in the belt photo. They were the new color this spring. I say it every time, I wish pipers fit a little better, because I LOVE the fun colors.

Boots: Regals
Old standbys. Not much to see here.

So that's what I rode in last night! Next up: Running outfit

How cute are floral running tights?! Answer: ridiculously cute. For the sake of brevity I'll just say here that both top and bottom are from Fabletics. (Big fan!)

I especially like that the pants don't get see through when you stretch them (ahem... cough, cough... Lululemon)

Sneakers: Asics
Yes, you're seeing this correctly. I do not have matching running shoes for all my outfits. Sneakers are expensive and I don't love running shoes like I do riding boots. #truth

Headphones: Aftershokz Trekz
Try to look past my crazy bed head hair.... These headphones are awesome, not only because they are wireless, but because they are bone conducting. They sit outside the ear, so you can hear everything around you while still enjoying your music or whatever you're listening to.

And now on to today's outfit!

Fall colors! And barn colors kinda...

Top: I can't decipher the brand on this tag...
This is a light weight, short sleeved sweater. A bit warm maybe for today, but my office is arctic, so it's just fine!

Belt: Swanky Saddle
I haven't worn this one in awhile! Love the monogram and metallic belt strap.
Jeans: Calvin Klein
These are one of my favorite pairs of pants. I love the green color which is tough to really photograph. They lean more olive, but neither of these pictures is exact.

Shoes: Fabletics
I was going to wear my boat shoes today, but decided I really wanted to try out these sneakers I got from Fabletics. They're not running shoes, no real support, but they're super comfy. And I LOVE the color! Plus, they have memory foam in the foot bed. My feetsies are so happy today!

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is donning my most favorite bracelet. I spent more than I should have on this vintage Gucci bit bracelet, and honestly, I have no regrets. I just love it. Next to that is an H bracelet that I'm quite sure is just an "H" and not short for Hermes. And you all recognize my trusty Apple watch.

Righty:
Righty is donning a larger "H" bracelet that came from Ebay. Based on price, I do believe it is also just an "H". The leather one though is the real deal courtesy of my dad and stepmom.

That's it for today! Any favorites? Get any new riding apparel you're excited about?

Thursday's Threads

Outfit Day!!! My favorite day! Well, you know... other than Saturday of course. I have lots to share today as the boys wanted to be included in outfit day this week. I also got up and went for a run so I have a running outfit to share too. We'll go in order and start with the horsing clothes.

I  based my outfit around my horses' saddle pads this week. True story.

Helmet: Charles Owen
Greenie here is definitely still my favorite. It's not as breathable as the One K, but it's GREEN! With gold and brown! Perfect.

Top: Rue 21
This t-shirt is super old. I think it's a cute tee for riding with the apples all over it.

Belt: C4
Probably a solid color belt might have been better than having pattern on pattern here... But I think it's working anyway.

Breeches: Tuffrider
I think you've seen these before? Might have been the black ones. I saw them on Tack of the Day awhile back for under $40, and they're definitely worth that. I like the technical fabric and the grippy knee patches a lot. The silver zippers on the pockets are cute too.

Boots: La Mundial
I'm very slowly but surely getting these broken in. They don't fit with some of my breeches that have a lot of fabric at the bottom, so I don't wear them as much as I probably should. I guess they'll last longer though, right?

Spurs: Centaur and Color Tack
Straps: Mane Jane
So I just discovered that Mane Jane has brass buckles available now AND golden crowns! So I may be replacing these straps pretty soon. But I still can't get over how perfectly they match the boots.

The boys wanted to play matchy-matchy too this week. Here's what Jampy wore:
What a handsome guy. Please excuse the hay belly.

Saddle pad: Lettia baby pad
I love foxes. Gimme all the foxes! What I love about Lettia, is they make most things in both a baby pad AND a regular pad. Rio wears regular pads these days since he's losing muscle along his topline. But I generally prefer baby pads. So it's nice to be able to get for both horses and still match.

Boots: Clarendon
I love how these boots look. But I don't like how they work. You have to pull the elastic across both the front of the leg AND the back. I don't like that. So I think these may be going to Used Horse Stuff the next time I send a bag. I'm thinking I may order the next size up, so I don't have to tighten across the back to get the hooks to reach. Or maybe I'll just not get these again. So pretty though!

And here's Rio's outfit:
It was dark out so we had to take his photo indoors.

Saddle Pad: Lettia
The saddle pad is a bit cuter than the baby pad with it's fancy trim and foxes all over. Rio liked it very much.

Boots: Pelham Ascot
Oldies but goodies! I've had these awhile and you've seen them before. I definitely prefer this type of closure to the pair Jampy wore.

Rio also got some new tack that we tried out last night.
Bridle: Royal Sports (I think a lot of us bloggers fell victim to the 60% off sale!)
Bit: Sweet Billy'sBits

That's all the horsing clothes, let's see what I wore running this morning!

NEON! It's important to be visible during the morning commute. And also, I was born in the 80's so I love neon.

Tank: Puma
This tank is kind of mesh, but not really. So it's minimally see-through. I like that it's not totally see through, but I especially like how breathable it is. I get ridiculously hot when I run, so it's nice to have a little ventilation.

Tights: Fabletics
I've pretty much stopped running in shorts and run exclusively in different length tights. They don't ride up, and you don't chafe. Win-win! And how crazy is this pair?!

Sneakers: Mizuno Wave Sayonara
I probably don't have to reiterate how these are my dream shoes. You already know that.

And now on to today's work outfit!
I wish I could take that Pug accessory to work with me...

Top: Devoted
I picked this top up in one of Zulily's blowout sales. It's kind of gauzy and so comfy! It's pretty sheer which kind of makes me question its appropriateness for work, but I wore a cami underneath, so I think it's fine.

Belt: Ariat
This was a Tack of the Day find awhile back. It matches some awesome brown croc boots I have that you all haven't seen yet. I love the spur buckle! Plus, it reverses to a plain belt, so you could use it to show as well.

Pants: Paige
You guys have seen these before. I also have them in black and white. They are my most favorite pants EVER! I mean, they have horses on them, and yet somehow don't seem like they should be on a six year old. Magic pants.

Shoes: NYLA
I feel like Katharine Page sandals would totally make this outfit. But I also will never drop $300 on sandals. So this pair of $20.00 real leather sandals are doing a fine job! I've had these for several years now, and they are holding up great.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is donning my most treasured Gucci bit bracelet, along with my rein bracelet from Swanky Saddle, and my trusty apple watch.

Righty:
Righty is wearing a stack of Stacie Originals. I love the horse head clasps I found and I'm really glad I decided to make matching wrap bracelets. I have a cuff I need to assemble too, so the stack will be growing eventually!

And that's the end of this week's Thursday's Threads! Any favorites from today? What are you wearing?
