Thursday's Threads

Outfit Day! Unfortunately, no riding outfit today since I haven't been on a horse yet this week. I do have a few new horsey items at the bottom of this post though. So that's something!
Also a quick Jamp update, his fever was back up last night after work, so Doc is finally coming out today. I imagine there will be some bloodwork and antibiotics in his future. The good news is that he's definitely more comfortable than he was Tuesday, so there's that at least.
And now, back to outfit day... I have a cutish work outfit to share!
Layers! Because spring is really reluctant to show up here. Pink because I'm trying to encourage it.

Jacket: Cabi
Top: Listicle
I 100% bought this cute tee because it matched my booties perfectly. It's super soft, but is short sleeved, so I topped it with this cotton jacket from Cabi. It zips closed in a moto style, but I liked it open with this tee shirt.

Belt: Mane Jane
I didn't have a matching shade of pink for a belt, so I went with gray to go with the jacket. And your eyes are not deceiving you! That is the newest Mane Jane buckle in gunmetal. It's a really pretty matte black. LOVE it!

Jeans: Vigoss
These jeans are easily eight years old... possibly older. I've had them forever, and mostly wear them in the barn these days, but my laundry situation is getting pretty real... These only can be worn to work if I have a long top on though, because they have a broken belt loop.
I really should let them go to jean heaven, but I'm not ready yet. They're one of my favorite pairs!

Shoes: Toms
I snagged these on sale from Off the Rack for a steal. I didn't realize how much Toms had expanded their line from their cute slip on shoes, but they make all kinds of shoes and boots now. And in true Toms fashion, they are super comfy. As per always, every pair of shoes sold means a pair for someone in need. So I'm doing a service here with this purchase!

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Yeah, I know, you saw this exact arm last week. Well. It happens. I've been wearing these two together pretty much every day. I'm sure I'll mix it up next week to share, but today, I just stuck to the norm. Hermes bit bracelet, and my trusty watch.

Righty:
Righty is still having to don the Fitbit, but I found it a way cuter house second hand. It's the one in the middle. That pretty wrap bracelet with the unicorn hardware Fitbit house is from Tory Burch originally, but I found it on Mercari.
The bracelet in the front is an Hermes clasp with some flat cord that I cut to fit it. And the last one is the same cord in a cuff bracelet.

In lieu of a riding outfit, however, I thought I'd share some sneak peaks of a few items I mentioned having potentially bought a few posts ago.

First up is my new Mane Jane strap (I bought the new buckle along with this strap):
It's a matte blue croc that looks quite nice with my DeNiro boots, on one side, and really light, pretty pink on the other. The new buckle looks fab on either side.

Next is a terrible photo of the new chocolate AA Motionlite jacket:
We've all raved about the Motionlite enough, I think, but the new color is really gorgeous. I couldn't resist! Someday, hopefully, I'll have a legitimate reason for owning a couple  five of these show coats...

And lastly, I decided a few weeks ago it would be nice to have a gray helmet, and then this stunner turned up somewhere and I was like "add to cart".
It's from One K, and I found it at Victory Canter with a sale code so the damage wasn't TOO bad. It's super sparkly on the top/back panel. I tried the long oval this time, and it fits even better than the not oval ones I have. My head is so small (I wear an XS One K), I don't think the difference is that great between the round and oval, but this one is a touch more comfy than the others. Probably a  bit too loud and sparkly for the boarding barn... but I'll probably wear it there anyway. Hey, I am who I am.

So that's it for today. Any favorites? Have any fun, new riding apparel you've picked up recently?

  2. I really like that matte belt buckle.

I got a pair of Horze grand prix breeches with the silicone knee patches that I'm really loving. Bonus is they run a size big so I feel good about myself and I bought them off a friend because they were too big for her.

    Feel better soon Jamp!

    1. I could, but the jeans aren't long for this world. They're getting a bit thin in some areas you don't want...
