Thursday's Threads

It's a short post today because sadly I have no riding outfit to share this week. I was really excited that I would get to ride over the weekend, but this is the current situation over here today:

Gross. With highs in the 20's for the next couple of days, riding by Sunday doesn't look good. It's pretty slippery out there and they don't get their winter shoes until next week. But I do have a cute work outfit to share today!

We've had corporate people here this week so we're on the no jeans policy. Of course, I haven't seen a one of them, so probably could have just gone the jeans route afterall. But I'm a good rule follower so here I am in my dress pants for the third day in a row.

Sweater: Tommy Hilfiger
I'm loving this sweater! It's like a sweater/cape hybrid. I especially love that it has sleeves, and the slits aren't super high on the sides. Very cozy!

Pants: Tommy Hilfiger
These are nifty little dress pants. They're almost like fancy leggings... But much thicker. Maybe more like fancy yoga pants? Either way... they're super comfy like jammies but LOOK like dress pants. And they are flattering, no lumps or bumps evident. (And believe me, I have plenty.)

Shoes: Boemos
So admittedly, I picked up the outfit whilst out holiday shopping on Monday night. And I had shoes I knew I could wear with it... But then at my last stop that night (TJ Maxx) I saw these shiny, blue, leather booties and well... I knew they'd be perfect with the outfit. So I got them too. Happy Chanukah to me?

Arm Party:
Lefty:
Lefty is wearing a pretty little braided leather wrap bracelet from Fornash along with my apple watch. Generally, I don't like to purchase things I can make myself, but this was on closeout for much cheaper than I could make it!

Righty:
I have a bunch of gold and lapiz jewelry because it matched my old watch. And it looks great with my navy outfit today! First up is a stretch bracelet that I put together myself, followed by a little rhinestone wrap bracelet from Fornash, and a cuff that I think came from Zulily.

And that's it for today! I'm hoping really hard to get to ride by Sunday, so maybe I can have a riding outfit next week... Any favorites from today? How's the weather where you are?

Thursdays Threads

Outfit Day! And since I spent the day at the horse show, I have a riding outfit AND a normal person outfit today. What I don't have is an arm party. Oh well, can't have everything. We'll start with today's riding outfit.
I can't zoom in on this or it gets grainy, but you'll see better when we look closer.

Top: Joules
I got this one when one of the local tack stores was closing. I had seen it before, but couldn't bring myself to pay full price for it. Once I found it for 75% off, I was sold! I probably can't ride in this one at home. It's far too white for me to be trusted playing with ponies in it. But here where I'm spoiled with a groom, I can pull it off.

Breeches: Grand Prix
These came from Tack of the Day awhile back. I love all the pockets. They're also a great material and super comfy.

Belt: Mane Jane
You've all seen my Mane Jane a million times. But I still love it so much!

Socks: Dreamers and Schemers
We all know how cheap frugal I can be, so I bet you're shocked that I would own expensive boot socks. Fear not. Dreamers and schemers occasionally sells what they call derp socks. Derp socks have some kind of printing imperfection on them somewhere so they sell them two for the price of one. I love me a good bargain! So I bought a few pairs. These are the party on top version. They have a black band at the top in case they pop out of your boot, they aren't as noticeable. I love that!

Ok, now on to my non riding outfit:
I think you've seen this entire outfit before....

Top: Tommy Hilfiger
A little black and white lumberjack. This shirt has tabbed sleeves so you can roll them up. I had them rolled for dinner, but just unrolled them as it got cooler. Convertible shirts are my favorite!

Jeans: True Religion

I got these at the Saks outlet around the holidays. I've always been really cheap with pants, but I splurged a little on these, and I honestly have zero regrets. They fit me perfectly and are so comfy!

Belt: C4
I think we're all well versed in my obsession over these by now. But how could I pass up a black and white lumberjack belt?! I couldn't.

Shoes: Sperry
These are oldies but goodies! I love the little bit of gold on the tongue and the brass rivets.

That's what I wore today! What about you? Were you in the path of the miserable blizzard back home? Have a favorite from today?

Thursday's Threads!

Outfit Day!!! I was super lame and didn't remember to take photos of my actual outfit today. It was a busy day getting ready to come up to VT. My bad! But I DO have a riding outfit to share from this weekend. Better than nothing, right? Yes. Yes it is.

This very awkward angle makes me look super long legged... And short waisted. These breeches have a higher rise, but not as high as this angles suggests. I swear.

Top: Tommy Hilfiger
I've had this navy long sleeve t-shirt for awhile. It was pretty chilly in the morning when I got dressed so i thought it would be perfect. I was wrong. I was so hot! SO HOT! But that's not the shirt's fault. I like that the gold stripes on here are actually metallic. Look SHINY!

Breeches: Horze Crescendo Celine
I wasn't sure about these when I first ordered them. They looked super high-rise. But I liked the color and all the fun details so I took the leap. I'm glad I did! I probably could have ordered a 28 which is my regular size instead of the 30 I went with, but otherwise I really love these. They're very comfortable and don't do the saggy crotch thing like some breeches.

Belt: Dior
I found this one on ebay. It's the real deal, but pretty vintage. I think it's perfect for breeches. I like the distressed feel to the leather and obviously the stirrup is super cute.

Boots: Horka
Spur Straps: Ovation

It's been a minute since I've bragged about my love for these boots. LOVE! They're breaking in pretty quickly considering I don't remember to ride in them all that often. They are very soft, and I really love how tall the Spanish top is on the outsides. No falling and getting too short for these guys! I thought these spur straps from Ovation were super cute with the distressed boots too.

I thought the outfit looked pretty cute with all the boys too:

So that's what I wore today last weekend. What are you wearing today?

Thursday's Threads

This might technically be Friday's Threads by the time I get it posted... It was a long day! But due to my long day, I have THREE outfits for you! We'll start with Wednesday's riding outfit:
It's cold here. Because spring quit and went home. Seriously. Sunday's high is going to be 37 and it might also snow. Spring, you need to try harder. And soon. But I digress. Let's look at my riding outfit closer.

Top: Stridebox
This sweatshirt was sold as a fundraiser for a little girl fighting neuroblastoma. Such a great cause. Childhood cancers break my heart into tiny little pieces.

Breeches: Unbranded
Pardon my shoes... I hadn't put my boots on yet. These breeches were from my trip to Equine Affair in the fall. I love them so much. I got three pairs that day, and I totally wish I had bought more. Since these don't have a brand on them, I have no idea how to find more of them! Oh, also, they were only $40.

Ok next up is my work outfit from today:

And possibly the most awkward photo ever? I need to work on my posing. Clearly, I'm a rider not a model.

Top: Ariat

I love this sweater so much! (Elbow patches, duh!) I picked this up on sale at my favorite local tack store, Reins. It was after the holidays so it was finally on sale. And was the very last one in my size! WIN!

Jeans: Vigoss
Vigoss jeans are my absolute favorite. They are the perfect length on me and fit my ample butt quite well. Whenever I see them at Marshalls or TJ Maxx I almost always buy them,

Shoes: Lucky Brand
I bought these two years ago right after imposing a no buy on myself. Clearly I failed at that no buy. But these were completely worth it. They're soft leather with brass studs and buckles. So comfy. And they're green, so how could I not?

Arm Party!
Lefty:

Sad news to report on lefty here... When I went home to change into outfit #3 that adorable pug bracelet broke in half spilling beads all over the laundry room floor. Thankfully I made it myself, so I think I can make it again. And hopefully more successfully!

Righty:
Righty is wearing two bracelets made by me today! The first is a wrap bracelet I constructed years ago. I really should wear it more, I love that one! Next up is a stretch stone bracelet that I know you've seen a few times now.

And on to #3! I had a work function to attend in Syracuse tonight, so I had to pretend like I dress business casual instead of like a hobo.
Would you look at that?! I practically look professional!

Shirt: H&M
Yes! That pony shirt came from H&M! I saw it there and had to have it obviously. Who doesn't need a pony shirt? Or three?

Sweater: Tommy Hilfiger
This is one of those sweaters I've had for a million years. But then it went missing in the dry cleaning pile for possibly two years. I'm glad it's back (and clean) as it was perfect for tonight's event.

Pants: Calvin Klein
I live 15 minutes away from a Calvin Klein outlet. Thus, anytime I need dress pants, that's where I go! I like how they fit me, and they are a decent quality. I need to head over there to get some new ones soon. Most of mine are short length which is fine if I wear flats, but I can't wear heels with them. And that's annoying.

Shoes: Kensie
Horse bit shoes! Believe it or not, I got these leather shoes from Little Black Bag during one of their insane shoe sales for $5.00! Yes. That's $5.00. I also have them in leopard. Because $5. Obviously. Aside from their bargain price, they are also really comfortable. I was on my feet much of the evening, and they felt great. Sometimes it is nice to wear flats!

So that's what I wore today yesterday. What do you have on? How do you prefer to dress? Work wear? Casual? Hobo?

Thursday's Threads!

Outfit Day! And it's pretty much over already. Sorry. Work is crazy lately! Without further ado here's what I'm wearing:
And here it is ready for the great outdoors:
This jacket is my everything lately. It's super cozy and so, so, SO soft! All faux everything so I don't have to worry about it getting wet in the rain that won't stop. I'm not doing a special photo on the jacket, but it's from Modcloth if you want to grab one for yourself!
Ok, let's look closer:

Sweater: The Classic
I saw this one on Zulilly recently and clicked buy before I even thought about it. Such a good plan. I love the color, the fit, everything! It's warm and cozy. Perfect for winter! And soft too. Love me some man-made yarn.

Jeans: Unionbay
I know you've seen these a gazillion times. They're really thin and stretchy. Might even be considered jeggings? But they have a button and zip fly closure, so to me, that makes them jeans. Really comfy jeans!

Belt: LV
Fancy schmancy... I love a good leather belt. Sorry vegan friends.

Boots: Tommy Hilfiger
These boots! Go find a pair. Seriously. They're ridiculously warm. And comfortable. I also found these on Zulilly. They weren't super cheap, but I see myself wearing them A LOT. They are also all faux everything so the elements shouldn't ruin them.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Nothing new here today. I wore my small gold H bracelet with my leather Hermes wrap bracelet and my trusty watch. I think it's pretty classy!

Righty:
Righty is donning a leather and chain bracelet from Fornash. The leather is really pretty, it's a shimmery rose gold. The other bracelet is from Tory Burch. Also leather, but no shimmer to it. I love both of them, and I was pleasantly surprised by how nice they look together.

So that's what I'm wearing today! What do you have on? How's the weather by you?
