Truthful Tuesday

Ugh. Today's confession is that I have ZERO motivation to get Jamp going. I know 100% it's the weather. Who wants to ride a nervous horse outside on a windy 41 degree day? Or better yet, on a windy 39 degree evening after work? NO ONE that's who. And I mean, it keeps doing this for crying out loud:

It's easier to drag my lazy, grumpy, cold self out to ride on the weekends, but after work last night I just noped right out of it. I'll definitely regret that since tonight I think it's going to be raining. But I'm hopeful that spring will appear soon and snap me out of this funk.
I also think I'm under motivated because I know I have nothing to work towards. Other than the usual "bettering myself" stuff. Jampy isn't showing anymore. I still haven't sold Badger so I won't be getting a new horse to show any time soon. I suppose that's all probably perfectly okay, especially given the never ending winter. But it sure is frustrating! (#firstworldproblems I know...)
I know a lot of you are suffering also from never-ending-winter. Do you have any tricks or tips to get motivated?

  1. The weather has been awful here, too. I feel ya!

  2. The weather has been keeping me down too. And I know what you mean about not having anything specific to work towards. This year is for saving up to start house construction, so I probably won't have excess fundage for shows... So we're just kind of kicking along in a super boring spiral. Ugh 😑

    1. Yes, exactly! I guess I could still make some goals and work toward them. But it's definitely different than when you're showing.

  4. I could almost deal with the never ending cold if it would just STOP SNOWING!!!

  5. It's just a seasonal funk, and once your weather has chilled out (to be less bipolar and cold) you'll probably feel the motivation well back into you

    1. I think you're right. The one day of spring we had this weekend was glorious! I spent all day in the barn!
