Truthful Tuesday

Today's confession is that holy moly life is kind of crazy suddenly! Not because of the horses really, though that is going to be a huge change once Pammon gets here. It's more that summer arrives and there's so much going on. There's braiding jobs for one thing. No complaints there as that's paying for Shiny's new wardrobe. I have lots of friends turning 40 this year, so there are celebrations to attend. Those are super fun! But then there's all the boring stuff too. My car needs a bunch of maintenance, I still haven't brought it to the body ship to get fixed, and my emissions will be due next month. Boo. It seems I tend to schedule my dr appt's in the summer, so all of those are coming due. P needs her annual stuff done. And my job is CRAZY right now. Add in some home repairs, outdated electronics (looking at you 10 year old Macbook), and property taxes coming due, and the old bank account is looking pretty sad too. That new saddle might have to wait.
I guess what it boils down to is that I'm feeling a little bit of pressure between expenses and lack of hours in the day. But that's life right? I'm so grateful to have all the wonderful four legged creatures in my life to balance out the chaos!
Seriously, there's nothing like meandering aimlessly on your pony for a half hour to bring a little zen back into your life. Trust me, it totally works! (Assuming your pony is down for it too...)

  2. So much to do, so few hours in the day! Especially when work gets in the way! Sheesh!

I hear you on the electronics - I have an old iMac and it is making some strange noises and is soooo slow - add backing up my computer to my list of things to do!

    1. Seriously! If I could work less, I would have way more time to do everything else!

  3. I've been feeling that way as well. I was thinking yesterday that I really need to retire to be able to fit everything I want to do and everything I have to in!

  4. Ugh yeah why is everything compressing in summer - why couldn't all the shit to do kind of evenly spread out over the boring winter months lol

    1. I know it! I mean I probably should have tended to the car sooner... but there's really no good time for that stuff.

  6. I'm guilty of scheduling a lot in summer too - I always feel like since the days are longer, it will be easier to fit it all in and have time to ride, but instead I end up feeling overwhelmed.

    1. Yeah exactly. I think the daylight makes you feel like it's ok to keep going all the time, but eventually it wears you right out.

    1. Emissions are so annoying. We had a break for a few years because our state was so corrupt with all of it they had to revamp the whole system... Ah those were the days...
