What's Up Wednesday

I feel like everyday is pretty much the same right now. Jampy seems to be feeling a lot better, but I won't know for sure what kind of damage we have until next week when we take more x-rays. I'm glad he's in good spirits though. He's allowed out for a two minute walk once a day. So that's pretty exciting! He's definitely wild, but he's trying to behave himself.
He is standing more square than he was last week, but I have noticed him pointing the left front a bit:
Not a lot, but it's definitely a thing. So I'm a little worried about that. He's still getting iced regularly, but I have cut it back slightly so I can go to work. He's not any worse for the wear with the slightly less frequent icing fortunately.
Rio has been getting plenty of attention too, fear not! He gets a 20-30 minute hand walk in the evenings and a few minutes of grass too.
Last night we got hit with some crazy storms when I got home from work though. Tornadoes touched down a few towns over even! Needless to say, everyone stayed in last night.
The weekend was mostly the same minus the work part. I ran a few errands, but otherwise have just been staying close to the farm. My brother and sister-in-law hosted mother's day though, so I did go over there to see my mom.
Since I've been somewhat house bound I finally started getting my old riding videos transferred onto my computer. So that's been a hilarious walk down memory lane. I imagine you'll see some clips over on my instagram in the coming days.
And really, that's about it from here. Not very exciting, but sometimes not exciting is preferable. I'm looking forward to when Jampy can wean off the ice and I can get a full night's sleep!
What's happening with you all? Have you been showing? Do anything fun? I need to live vicariously through you, so please share some fun stories with me!

  1. Sounds like no news is good news until it's time to x-ray 🙂 glad Jamp is hanging in there! No showing here, but switching to summer hours means I'm finally riding regularly and I love it! (Sorry to rub it it while you can't ride, that feels mean)

You're not rubbing it in! I mean, I'm a little jealous, but also happy for you :)

  2. I'm not doing anything super fun like showing but I hopefully will be acreage shopping soon! Glad to hear that Jampy is continuing to improve (being wild is hopefully a good sign :P).
