I've been keeping a secret from you all... Not just you, I haven't told many people at all. And I figure today's a good day to spill the beans! I've secretly had a horse on trial at my trainer's farm in Wellington, FL. I'm having him vetted tomorrow, and if he is healthy, he'll be joining the herd! I'm SO EXCITED!!!
Meet Grand Tourismo:
He's a very green 5 year old from Holland. So far, he is not at all spooky and LOVES to learn new things. Which is good because pretty much everything is new to him. He jumps currently 2'6"-2'9" but I think will wind up in the amateur owner hunter ring eventually. I hope so at least! If he joins the herd, he'll stay in training with my trainer at least through the end of circuit. He may or may not move home for the summer. I want to keep him in a solid program. Plus I have Romey at home who needs my attention, so it's best to share the babies!
Fingers crossed that he vets well!
What a doll! (plus I'm a sucker for sportscar-themed pony names :))
ReplyDeleteThank you! I thought it was cute too! Maybe better for a jumper than a hunter, but I'll keep it if he stays for sure!

You definitely should! As they say, there's something about the outside of a horse that's good for the inside of a girl... Actually I think they say man, but whatever...
