So funny story... I was going to post today about my love of Matryoshka dolls. But while I was shooting photos of my fanciest doll, I managed to lose the littlest one. Sadly, it's not the first time. I've also lost the littlest piece to my very first Matryoshka doll. Perhaps I should stop handling the collectibles?
Thankfully I managed to get a few shots before losing the itty bitty doll. **Note: I didn't realize how careless I had been with spacing in these pictures, so I apologize if you're need for order gets a little itchy... Mine totally has looking at them!**
This doll I bought from a Russian seller on Ebay. She has (had) a total of 20 pieces that all fit into one.
These 20 piece dolls are pretty hard to find, and can get very expensive. I got a great deal on this one, thankfully since I can't be trusted with nice things. (Clearly.)
These are the four smallest. That little one at the end that looks like a bead? Here it is in my hand (just minutes before it's escape).
Can you even see it? It's that spec between the two lines that run sort of parallel on my hand there. That's how TINY it
is was. You can imagine why I couldn't find it when it jumped ship.
So now you know not only that I have more than one doll (but I mean, they're not super creepy like some dolls right?) but also that I'm terribly clumsy and lose tiny things.
