Thursday's Threads: Flamingo edition

Pammon and I both got all decked out in flamingos this week. Flamingos everywhere!
I probably owe him an apology for this.
But I just realized I forgot to use the bonnet! I have a flamingo bonnet that matches, and I forgot all about it. Bad blogger. Sigh. Anyway, here's what I wore to ride last night:

Mint and pink! So much pink... On a chestnut... It's something for sure.

Helmet: Harry's Horse
I've had this for awhile now and haven't gotten around to wearing it until last night. It's ok. It has a dial to make it nice and snug, but it's definitely a bit more round than my oval head. I have a tiny noggin, so I can usually get away with round helmets on my oval, but this one JUST makes it. By my second horse I was looking forward to taking it off. I'll keep wearing it though, cause LOOK AT IT! Pink, sparkles... it's pretty fab.

Tee shirt: Kohl's
Pretty sure I got this last fall at Kohl's. It's just a plain tee with a couple of cute flamingos snuggling.

Belt: C4
I know, right?

Breeches: Piper by Smartpak
I wish they would make Hadley's in all the cute color combos like the pipers. I'm not a piper fan really other than the aesthetic. That said, LOVE this color!

Socks: Lettia
My calves are huge so they always distort my socks. But you can still tell these are adorable.

Boots: Cavallo
Spurs: Color Tack
This is my second time riding in these, and generally they're pretty comfy! They need a few more rides to finish breaking in though. The fit is kind of amazing on me. Normally boots are just a hair too short if I get standard height, but talls are way too tall. But these standard height boots are PERFECT. I love the glitter top. So fun!

Pammon got in on the flamingos too, though I'm not sure how thrilled he was. Shiny was left out, poor girl, but I did just get her a saddle pad second hand that will fit with the color scheme for next time. (It hasn't arrived yet.)

Baby Pad: Lettia
Half Pad: Ebay
Saddle: Hermes
Girth: Tough 1
Stirrups: MDC
I really like the Lettia baby pads. They tend to fit really nicely and don't bunch up usually. They have a little wither relief to them which I think helps. Plus, how cute is that flamingo?!

Boots: Pfiff
Indeed, that flamingo is sporting a top hat! They don't make these in Shiny's size which I think is really sad.

Bridle: Royal Sports
Browband: Dark Jewel Designs
Bit: Evo Equine

These photos don't do justice here... The browband has unicorn beads that match the unicorn bit. But these photos didn't really pick up the colors very well. I'm so sad I forgot the bonnet!

I figured I might as well keep up the trend, so I wore flamingos to work today too.
But they're hard to see from this photo....

Top: Old Navy
There they are! I used to wear these tie tops back when I was a little girl in the 80's. I wasn't so sure I could pull them off anymore. I'm still not sure. But I did it anyway!

Belt: C4
Yep, same as yesterday! It doesn't exactly go with the outfit... but it'll do.

Pants: Kut from the Kloth
Relaxed cut, capri length jeans are one of my favorite summer staples. I should wear them more often.

Shoes: Vera Bradley
Flops! I never really intended to wear these to work. But here I am. Figure I need to wear flops while I can before the seasons change!

Arm Party:
Lefty:
Lefty is wearing this fun pink wrap bracelet with a pyramid clasp alongside the apple watch.

Righty:
Righty is wearing my new pink fitbit bracelet with a couple of flamingo bracelets that don't seem to have brands.

And that's it for today! Opinion on flamingos? What do you think of Pammon wearing pink? I'm on the fence... But we'll probably do it again!

Thursday's Threads: Travel Edition

Happy outfit day! I'm heading down to Florida for a long weekend, so I think this is my first post done entirely from a tablet... Hopefully it goes ok!
Edit: Annoyingly glitchy on the tablet! It did not go ok. I am finishing it at home in Florida. Boo.
I'll start with my travel outfit since I titled this the travel edition.

Comfy clothes for airplane is a must!

Cardigan: Modcloth
Top: Ronner Design

Modcloth calls this sweater the Airport Cardigan, so I figured I should wear it there, right? I have it in a few colors. I like that it's cute open or closed. You already know of my love for Ronner shirts. This is my last one to show you guys. (Until I buy more, let's be real.)

Belt: Tory Burch

I think you've seen this one a bunch. I got it at the Tory Burch outlet a few years ago. It's soft, gold, and shiny! What more could you want?

Jeans: Seven Jeans

The heavy, tan stitching on these feels really horsey to me, so I thought they were perfect to pair with the pony shirt.

Socks: Blue Q

I don't normally share my socks, but I heart these. Pardon the language...

Shoes: Seychelles
I LOVE Sechelles shoes. They're pretty and they're also comfortable which is not an easy combo to find. They can be expensive, but I've always found them on sale for reasonable prices.

Arm Party!
Lefty:
My arms decided to be fancy pantsy today since I'm heading to fancy pants Florida. Lefty is donning a (secondhand) leather bracelet from Louis Vuitton along with my trusty apple watch.

Righty:
Righty is donning an H bracelet along with a couple actual Hermes arm pieces. The wrap bracelet was a gift from my dad and stepmom a few years ago, and the other I got on Poshmark.

That's what I wore to travel today! But I also have a riding outfit to share!
That's a very tired, post lesson me.

Helmet: One K
That's a slightly less tired pre-lesson me....

Jacket, vest, and top: Eddie Bauer
This jacket and vest are the same as the black ones I've worn the last few weeks, just in a pretty teal color. I really love these. They're super warm, but not bulky. And I've had both sets for a few years now, without them showing much wear.

Belt: Harry's Horse
I recently jumped on the rose gold bandwagon with full force... So clearly, I needed this pretty rose gold and black bit belt.

Breeches: Harry's Horse

I found these on Tack Dealz awhile back. I got these and a navy pair, and I really love both. The fit is perfect, and they have just the right amount of stretch. I think the streaky paint-like details are super fun too.

Boots: TuffRider Regal
Yeah, I'm still sticking with the old comfies for lessons. Don't want to be distracted by partially broken in boots.

And that's it for today! I have a relaxing weekend ahead. I don't think I'll get to do any riding down here this year, but I'm still going to visit my trainer and maybe the horse show. So that will be fun and get me my horsey fix!
Any favorites from today? Did you snag any horsey clothes deals last weekend?

Thursday's Threads

Outfit Day! Summer is here! We skipped spring here in New England and went right from a high of 49 on Monday to highs approaching 90 yesterday and today. Lots of people are kvetching about the heat, but not me! THIS is my weather! Finally! Unfortunately, I have not yet switched my clothes over, so I'm not all that prepared. Hence my outfit today looks more appropriate for September, but whatever.
Fall colors... oh well! At least the sleeves are short!

Top: Apt 9
I stumbled across the sweater at Kohl's on the sale rack. I love that it has metallic gold stitching! And those sleeves are fun too.

Belt: Tory Burch
I had wanted this belt for awhile (I was on the hunt awhile back for a classy gold belt) but it was silly expensive so I never got it. Then last year I found it at the TB outlet in Florida for like 80% off. Patience is a virtue my friends!

Jeans: Mavi
You've seen these plenty. They're nice and light weight, plus super stretchy. Very comfy!

Shoes: Sperry
Yeah, sorry for wearing these again so soon. You're not crazy, I did wear them last week! One of my favorite pairs of Sperry's that I have!

Arm Party!
Lefty:
Lefty is wearing this funny little pug bracelet that I put together. I had gotten the Pug beads awhile ago but hadn't ever known what to do with them. Until I found this cute bracelet tutorial (shown using palm tree beads) and I thought they would be perfect. Completely silly, but also completely adorable.

Righty:
Righty kept it relatively simple today. First is a vintage Gucci bracelet I found on Ebay a few years back. The second is from Juicy Couture. I love their crown logo, so cute!

Jampy doesn't have an outfit to share (he's still wearing the same thing as last week), but I do have half an outfit for you! (I forgot to bring a matching helmet out to ride that day, so I didn't snap a helmet pic.)
If I look cold, it's because I was! 45 degrees. In May. Sheesh. Clearly, this photo was from Monday! I haven't ridden since because Jampy got his hocks done. Back to work tonight though!

Jacket: CB
This is one of my favorite jackets. It's knit, but stuff doesn't stick to it which is some kind of miracle. Mint is one of my favorite colors too!

Belt: Mane Jane
Of COURSE I have a Mane Jane belt strap to match! This is the reverse side to the navy croc one that you've seen many times.

Breeches: Harry's Horse
Do any of you subscribe to the Tack Dealz emails? It's a Canadian company that's basically the same as Tack of the Day here in the states. They offer steep discounts on items for one day only. I saw these breeches on there for $45 and jumped on them. I have another pair from this brand, and really like them, so figured I would like these too. I got them in this navy and also in black. And I LOVE them! The silicone patches put the FUN in functional! Ha. Sorry, had to. Anyway, the breeches fit great, none of that saggy crotch nonsense. The knee patches are pretty grippy so if you don't like that, these aren't for you. But since I ride a whirling dervish I much appreciate them. I like the little bit of color up by the hip there too. Very cute!

Boots: Regals
I should probably clean these once in awhile. Poor neglected, abused Regal boots. I still love them though! They seriously are so comfy.

And that's it for today! Any favorites? What are you wearing today? Thoughts on Harry's Horse breeches?
