Truthful Tuesday

Soo.... I started the year off with a bang in the health and fitness department. I ate healthy delicious meals while on vacation (supplemented by not so healthy trips for frozen yogurt, but you gotta compromise!) and I even got back to running. I ran three times while in FL! (I'm mostly an every other day kind of runner. My body does not approve of consecutive days.) I accompanied the parentals to the driving range and pretended to know what I was doing one evening.  I also got to ride three days. Two horses each day! SO FUN!!!
Here is some photo evidence:

and kept hitting that darn pole

And then I came home. I did not plan to run Sunday since I had gone out for 3 miles on Saturday. I did ride Jampy though! Monday I figured I'd get 3 miles in before work. But Monday morning rolled around and was dark and dreary... and 23 degrees. So I didn't go. Then this morning, I knew I wouldn't go with it being 18 degrees that feel like 5. I have decided to give myself a reprieve until the cold spell breaks on Sunday. Being an asthmatic, I need to be a little smart about the cold temps. While running in the cold is perfectly ok, it is REALLY hard (and also painful) to go from 75 degree runs to 20 degrees. Not worth it in my opinion! If I get motivated (probably not) I'll see if I can use my dad's treadmill one evening.
So that's today's confession. In a nutshell; if it's cold, I hibernate.

  1. Aw, that's a crazy weather swing for you!

The only kind of golfing I can manage involves a windmill, so I would say you looked perfectly dressed for the occasion!

    Have a great week!
