Truthful Tuesday

I feel like all of my Truthful Tuesdays are the same lately. How boring! But alas, it's winter, and not much is going on. Literally. Today's confession? I need to drop 12 lbs (15 would be better) but I apparently refuse to eat less OR exercise. It's proving rather impossible that way.
I keep putting off my exercise start date. It was supposed to be yesterday. But when I got up at 6:30 to go running it was still dark out. When I checked again at 6:45, still dark out. Then I went back to sleep till too late to go running. Slacker. Maybe tonight I'll find a good workout video online to do... Maybe.

I'm so jealous of these two... They're adorable chubby, and get to spend the majority of their life lounging.

Truthful Tuesday

Ok now that we've covered the most important topics about today, we can move on to why you're here. My Tuesday Confession... Well my friends, I have tipped that number on the scale. The one where you decide to take control of your waistline and fitness level. Yep. I need to lose 15 lbs. 20 would be great too... but that's a bit of a stretch I think. Regardless, it's time to get back out on the pavement, log some miles, and take control of my fitness! Well that's what I decided yesterday anyway.
Last night I picked out my running outfit for this morning, my outfit for work, and my outfit for riding after work so I wouldn't have to worry about all that when I woke up. I got to bed before 11 and set the alarm for 6:15. I was going running in the morning. NO MATTER WHAT.
Plus I couldn't wait to finally run in these:
French Fry Leggings!!!

So the alarm went off at 6:15. Still dark out. So I figured, that's ok, I have time, I'll snooze it out till 6:30 and see how the sunrise is coming along. So what do I see at 6:30? Yep I see daylight. Know what else? FOG. Not like oh it's hazy out fog, but the kind where you can't see your own hand if you hold it out in front of you. I don't live where there are sidewalks. And the shoulders on the streets here are about 12 inches wide. Not good conditions for running in pea soup fog. So my best intentions have been postponed. Tomorrow morning it is! Hopefully it'll happen!

Truthful Tuesday

These three day weekends really throw me for a loop. I almost forgot it was Truthful Tuesday Day! Fear not my friends, I remembered.


See that number folks? That means I'm right back where I started. Those 5 lbs I stressed off while Rio was sick are back with a vengeance. And you know what I did about this weekend? NOT MUCH!
Saturday I ate this:

Sunday I met some of my friends for pizza and when we couldn't pick a dessert, we shared all three. ALL THREE. Cannoli, cheesecake, and tiramisu. There were three of us, so I guess it's really one dessert apiece right? Yep, and Monday, there was a rhubarb cobbler, ice cream, and strawberry rhubarb pie.
Maybe this week, I'll start trying to change that number up there... We'll have to see how it plays out!

Truthful Tuesday


Ugh. My confession today is that all I eat lately is junk food. I haven't done a real fridge restock in about 2 months. I have, however, stocked up on leftover Easter Candy and potato chips.
The time to get back to running is apparently NOW! This garbage eating is making me chubby. I'm giving myself the rest of the week to be a glutton and try to catch up on all the sleep I missed during Rio's illness. Come this weekend, the sneakers must be laced up!
Has anyone else fallen off the exercise/healthy eating bandwagon? I'm not talking the it's always ok to have dessert philosophy. I'm talking full on, I ate cookies for lunch yesterday kind of fall from the wagon.

Truthful Tuesday






This week I must confess... Not only did I drive 20 minutes to go to Taco Bell on Saturday night, but I was a complete glutton. COMPLETE. (Disclaimer: none of these photos are my own, I borrowed them from google images. I have no idea who they belong to.)

I started with Nachos Supreme as an appetizer:


 Next, I enjoyed two tacos (a Doritoes Locos Cool Ranch and a regular):


At this point, I was pretty stuffed. I had eaten every last bite of the above. But no meal is complete without some dessert right? And I heard about these amazing little chunks of heaven, so I had to give them a shot:


Yes. Those are cinnamon buns in the shape of donut holes filled with delicious cinnamon bun glaze, and warmed so it's all melty gooey yumminess inside. Ahhhhhh! SO MUCH DELICIOUSNESS!

I realize this may be a lot of food. Especially for someone who's currently about 8-9 lbs away from goal... But I have to admit to you, I have not a single regret. Sometimes you just have to indulge a craving, no matter how unhealthy it may be.
