Truthful Tuesday

Today's confessions revolve entirely around one outfit. I flew home from Florida yesterday, so today was my fake Monday.  I really wasn't feeling picking out a cute outfit and wearing uncomfortable anything. Also, I wanted to be warm and cozy. So I pretty much wore barn clothes to work. I wore a newish pair of paddock boots (they hadn't seen the barn yet, so at least they weren't smelly!), a pair of jeans, and a comfy sweatshirt that kind of looks like a sweater.
It's the warmest coziest shirt ever. I may or may not have it in four different colors.
Which leads me to confession number two... It's a doozy. Are you ready?
I rode in jeans!!!
Seriously! Not denim breeches. Nope. ACTUAL JEANS. I figured it would be ok since I'm riding in the spare saddle anyway. No harm, no foul...
Jeans and half chaps. I felt so 2001! I realized while putting my hat and half chaps on tonight, that I kind of miss riding in jeans. I saved a bunch of time not having to get changed after work. But really I doubt I would go back to riding in them regularly. It's not good for my saddle. But what I'm really wondering is.... Do you think I could pull off wearing breeches to work?! Which leads to my next question: Is this a whole new level of lazy?

  1. Could you wear your denim breeches as a compromise between jeans and breeches.

  4. Um, yes, you can definitely wear breeches to work. I have a friend who's a professor at a local college and occasionally wears breeches to her classes- she says students and coworkers will frequently ask her where she got such great pants, haha!

    1. Ha! That's awesome! I have a pair of seersucker breeches. Once I had them on while running some errands, and someone asked me if I played softball...
